I have yet to listen to the podcast from the Wisconsin Coaches about the upcoming spring practices.  I hope there is a QB out there or it is going to be a very long season.  I believe the rest of the team will have matured enough to return to the old form, but it will not make any difference if we do not find a consistent QB

GO, I saw this on Rivals late last night, seems they have some faith in your coach?

7. Bret Bielema, Wisconsin
There are rumblings about how Wisconsin's record has gotten worse each season under Bielema: 12-1 to 9-4 to 7-6. Give the intense Bielema credit in that he has altered his offseason approach, looking to connect better with the players and enhance their development. More than anything, Bielema would be helped by the emergence of a quarterback in what shapes up a critical season in his career. Don't bet against the smart, hard-working Bielema getting the Badgers back on track.

He has the talent to work with to improve both the offense and defense.  The only real question mark is how do you develop a QB out of the bunch they played musical chairs with last year.  Bielema is an extremely hard working coach and is very savy, however even he knows his future depends upon a balanced running and passing game.

Good morning all! Sad news to report with the passing of Bruce Snyder, past coach of the ASU mens football team. Bean you may remember him, he was the coach back in 1996. The last time ASU played Nebraska.

Kiwi are you rubbing salt in the wound?  UGHHHHH.. Yes.  I flew to AZ from NE, my bro from FL and my Dad flew up from the CARIBBEAN for that game!  YES.  My sis lives there.   That was the year we were supposed to do the THREE PEAT thing (Nat Champs)... team was just plain flat.  Totally we should have won but they didn't come out and give it their all.  ASU deserved the W.

How old was Snyder?  RIP Bruce.

Kiwi certainly sorry to hear of Snyder's passing, losing icons is always sad.

Well I awakened for work at 6am this morning, for whatever reason I decided to peruse the analyst's boards while I drank my coffee.........found an interview with son? He did good, they asked him some hard questions but he held his own. That was a nice surprise, great way to start Mom's day

Bean, PDH, cuz, Kiwi, GO what's the update on spring games? I know bean's and ours is this weekend but was wondering who might have already had theirs? I've been working so much this week, still working tonight, just haven't had time to keep up!

Of course Nascar would be able to hold his own! That boy is smart!

I hope he didn't say anything to get him in trouble with his Nana like that one time.....

AU's Spring Game is this weekend......I'm on pins and needles.....
The Big Questions for AU are who will be the QB1 and the health of the O-Line. The O-line is talented but very thin on experienced players, so injuries could really hurt us. The smaller issue is who wants to be the WR star once we settle on a QB1.

And of course...the new coaching staff has a lot to prove to the Auburn Family.....thus the pins and needles.....

Oh well...WDE!!!!

Kiwi - radio announcer (Jason Peter) was ON the team 94-97.  Driving home yesterday he paid homage to your coach.  The players that played those 4 years only had TWO TOTAL LOSSES IN THEIR CAREERS!  ASU was one.  He said they came prepared to play that game (ASU).  Thought you'd like to know that.

Our players are dropping like flies.  Latest is our 2nd string QB!  The real 2nd stringer is the one that quit the team because he didn't want to compete with the starter.  We are beyond thin now - no one has take a single snap in live games.  Yikes.  #2 currently is the guy we wanted to red shirt and develop.  We have some "former QB"s on the team.  We'll see.

I'll be at the game and will report.

Yes we've talked about that game. I was there and you were in red! Still it was the first time I've ever been to a home game with more fans than the home team. It never happens in Ann Arbor, even with 100K+ for every home game.
You asked how old was Bruce Snyder. He was 69, lost to cancer.
Cuz send your extras to Michigan, their in serious need of even one QB.

PDH, Nana is here this week so she listened to the interview and.........of course she couldn't resist critiquing but then that's our Nana

Kiwi - it seems Greg Paulus went up to Michigan to meet with Rodriguez this week to discuss playing QB with his one year of eligibility he has left? It's all over the news here........

Kiwi, excuse my memory lapse... we did have that conversation.  And I did read about Michigans' woes at QB.  That is awful.  There a kid who left the Miami team visiting both NU and MI (amongt others)  Same radio guy yesterday was saying that he felt it was a no brainer the kid should/would go to MI because he has a greater guarantee of immediate PT.  Problem is he can't play for a year.  Good luck.

OK now it's your turn to share some of Michigan's traditions.  Gameday, mascot, history.... we wanna know.  And do YOU know why Ohio State named their team after a nut?  I am curious.

kiwi.....i hate to tell you this....but 1 of the qb's in the running for the starting position is the qb that transferred from michigan.....ryan mallett? he sat out last year at ark but year before last as a freshman at michigan he played a lot of minutes. i think he transferred because the didn't think he fit rodriguez's offense?? if it is any consolation...he is coming home...he was originally from texarkana, tx right next to texarkana, ark.

Son's spring game is friday afternoon at 5:30. I can't be there because of work that day, but I did find out some good news!  A radio station there is broadcasting the game live and I can get it via the internet!  So, after school I'm gonna make a quick trip to Wal Mart and get home to get on the computer!!
