I hope it's a great game for both your offense and your defense KTF! keep us posted !

pdh- did you see the Bengals took Andre Smith as #5 pick in the first round?  I so hope this is a really good outcome for him !

Carroll has to have some egg on his face for Sanchez made out well with the Jets too !!

Spring Game today....................

KTF - which team?  I have a short memory span.

If its Ohio State I read online that they had 100,000 show up.  That could be exagerated but regardless - huge showing.  I love it.

None.. why does Carroll have egg on his face for Sanchez doing well?  I must have missed something.  Sorry.  Esplain it to me please.  thanks

Bean - when Sanchez made his decision to go into the draft, Carroll disagreed and even refused to attend Sanchez's press conference when he made the announcement. I think he also refused to shake his hand in another instance, anyway it didn't reflect well on Carroll at all at the time. Maybe he's changed his mind, dunno but pdh likely remembers more of the details than I do?

KTF is pretty excited  about his teams  isn't he?

KTF guess what? I actually know Curry's dad and we emailed last week in fact, Aaron is a good kid and very hard working. He will keep his nose clean too which will be an asset as well.

Of course I remember it now.. geez I am getting old.  LOL  I read that Sanchez did NOT have a good combine but came on strong at the end.  Not sure what changed.  Hope he has a good OL on his new team - or time to develop.

Bean your right about OSU 95,000 for there spring game. I'm reading that one of the QB's for Michigan is transferring to ASU.  Hmm it would have been better if he picked USC.

Course I'm right.

I read it on the net.  Bama had over 80k and we had 78k - would have been 85k but forecast was 90% chance of thundershowers and they did NOT happen.  I packed garbage bags in my bag in case we had to keep our legs dry!  lol

Re the Michigan QB - I feel bad for that kid.  He isn't one switching schools for his ego like some.  He has had some major bad luck.  He went to 2 schools where they switched the type of offense on him.  Neither wants a pro style QB so he is probably doing the best thing for himself.  Musical coaches, musical QBs.  Hope things calm down for a bit.

Has Michigan landed a QB for next year yet?  That is a huge need from what I read.  Hope they can get it going. Hard to run that scheme without a true spread, mobile QB.  Good luck.

the razorbacks 1 and only draft pick (what a switch from last year!!) went to the bengals as well. still not sure why jonathan luiges a 2 time all american and 2008 remington winner center went in the 4th round? he is a smart good kid too??? must have been something at the combine?

he wasn't projected to go above the 4th round at any time.  I don't think that was necessarily a knock on him as it was just that the top two pro prospect centers went in the first round and then it was a matter of a team that needed a center.

GO that does appear to be why he went in a later round, he's still a great 'get' !

KTF - I did email Aaron's dad your welcome and he emailed back that Aaron is THRILLED to be with the Seahawks !

Looks like I hit the road again soon for six months but thankful this project will conclude around the start of the football season! WHEW !!

I'm sorry but the government has messed up enough... and doesn't deserve a voice in the BCS... like they don't have enough on their agenda to fix?

Well bean, Obama says he has a 'gift' you know?  Definitely not the gift of a tiny ego

I think it's a dog and pony show, at best?

SI came out with post spring game rankings? I mean what on earth??? I don't think these can be taken too seriously but of course some will.

I see NEB on this list Bean, you'll like that

Lordy lordy I'm glad my father passed away before having to "be excited about NU being in the top 25".  WOW did Callahan sink the ship or what?  Tsk Tsk.

But thanks None.     We like to sneek up from behind.  LOL

It's ridiculous to even think of ranking teams.  Might as well draw names from a hat so much changes, so many unknowns.  Obviously the writers are running out of things to write about.  Oh well.. so long as it doesn't go to anyone's heads (except USCs).

Sort of keeping with the theme of pre-season rankings....here's a very entertaining AU video...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro9dBpTkock

The new coaching staff is doing something very cool....they are touring the state in a Hummer limo, and visiting as many high schools as possible. They call it the "Tiger Prowl"....
I love this hard work and enthusiasm! That Tracy Rocker is still a beast. He's very impressive, and I'm so glad he's home now!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDvFrQLh4TU

And if you haven't had enough of AU yet.... ........here's some entertaining video of the A-Day game.  It looks like maybe we have a crisper, more enthusiatic offense this year. And we have some very fast weapons. My hope is that the new coaching staff can pull it all together. They sure seem to be on the right track.
