well, i see nobody commented on the fiesta bowl......no boise state or tcu fans out there? i watched bits and pieces. pretty even game but boise state's defense was better than i thought. congrats to them!
TCU's strength was their Defense this year. I was mldly surprised myself.
I watched the whole game last night. Except for the trick play near the end of the game, either team could have won that game.  I wish we would see more teams take the chance to win in a bowl game. For those that didn't see the play here it is- Boise State faked a punt from their own 30 yard line on 4th and 9. Instead the punter completed a pass for a 29 yard completion. Eventually, they scored and brought the score to 17-10. Simply an incomplete pass would have given TCU the ball on the Boise State 30, with 10-10 score.
Ask Oklahoma about the 2007 Fiesta Bowl against Boise State!!!! Craziest "trick play" game ever!! Boise State even ran the "Statue of Liberty" play!!!

LOL.  I know it is really cold for FL cuz I lived there, however, they do NOT know what cold is.. as you know Kiwi!  This snow just won't stop.  More today w/blowing winds so bad I left work early for the 2nd time this winter.  It is supposed to be 40 BELOW zero tomorrow a.m.  Can't wait to go to work in that.  Lord.  Worst winter EVER.

I am so mad! I'm watching Troy and Central Michigan play in the GMAC Bowl, and all the ESPN commentators are talking about is Bama....and a little Texas thrown in for good measure. They are COMPLETELY ignoring the game they are supposed to be talking about. I have never in my life seen anything so disrespectful. The kids at Troy and CMU have worked hard to get to a bowl game, and their game is being virtually ignored. They should be showing shots of the campus at Troy and at CMU instead of Bama. They should be talking about these kids, and not the kids playing tomorrow night. This is so wrong!!! WTH????
All the discussion is about the game tomorrow night. This game, and these athletes, are being treated very poorly. I am just incensed. It's very unfair to these two schools to have their game treated as a preview show. This broadcast is a complete disgrace.
ESPN is the worst thing to happen to college football in the last twenty years.

PDH I agree it is disrespectful.  It is because they are too lazy to research and share info on the teams playing like in the old days... The whole bowl season has been like this.

I about blew a gasket when they interviewed Craig James at half time of our bowl and allowed him to use his job as a platform for the debacle at TX Tech.  Not fair to our team nor anyone else.  Then the next few days it was non stop either Urban M or Mike L... ESPN is the sports version of Entertainment Tonight!

I even emailed the guy at ESPN in charge of programming!  Sorry don't have the link or I would share it!

My opinion (probably not popular):

Waaaaaaaaaaay too many bowls and the GMAC should NOT be on Jan. 6th as a prelude to the "Mythical" National championship game. It belongs BEFORE Christmas.

Keep the bowl games -- but make them a PART of a playoff system.

Love this winter weather.  We have snow again today, but at least we warmed up to 20 degrees.  I can be quite comfortable at that temp.

As long as we have no snow storms two weeks from now.  15 days left until Mexico.

For some reason this week's bowl games, except last night, have been real boring.  Not sure if I am tired of it or if it was the matchups... I am thinking the matchups weren't real exciting.  Would love a playoff...before I die. ha.

GO..I might sneak into your suitcase.  We are excited it is expected to get to the 20s next week.  We had more snow again and as I leave for work in a few minutes it is 30 below.  Blowing up to 40 mph.  I drive on a highway that is wide open (rural) without any trees to stop the winds.  Makes the roads a bear.  Would love to work from home today... oh well...

National Champ Game tonight and no discussion?!  Who you like?

I hope its an exciting game.  Not sure who to cheer for... I think Bama has what it takes to win.  But I should probably cheer for TX.  Guess I'll just enjoy the last game of the season.

I understand pdh's frustration but the lower level conferences just don't get the attention the big hitters do, it's all dollar driven as well even with ESPN. College football is a big moneymaker for the top teams, it is what it is.

Bean, I read where most of the schools are closed up in your area? So you still have to drive in that mess? I'm sorry.

Back at work so unable to watch much of the games now, GO I hope you have a most wonderful sunny and warm vacation !!

I have enjoyed reading about Greg McElroy recently, he really seems to have become a great leader for bama - also read a great article about McClain that speaks so well of him. It's sure to be an exciting game tonight !

None, LOL schools closing has nothing to do with businesses closing.  It has to be real bad.  Our owner has never closed fyi.  But the good news is that they closed the highway!  Ice and blowing - you can't see.  So will work from home.

Hello everyone. I hope ya'll enjoyed the football season. After tonight it will be a long drought. At least I have my Lakers to keep me company. It's been a crazy year for Bama fans. One I hope I never forget. I will cherish being at that Tennessee game. Whatever the result tonight I am above all so incredibly proud of the players. With all of the bad seeds we had just a few short years ago it's amazing the type of leadership we have today. I mean they gave up their pocket money from the NCAA so they could fly together as a team out to Pasadena! Just wow. Their are some incredible young men on this team and for their sakes above all else I hope they walk off that field tonight as champions. Because they certainly have conducted themselves as champions off the field. Roll Tide Roll

Bean, the pregame show sure involved a lot of discussion around the strength of the Huskers against TX

Spooky it's an exciting time for the program but I have to mention that McElroy and Mcclain were both Shula recruits, not Saban's !

I hate to see a sack so quickly out of the box and now an interception

it is bizarre, totally.

I hate McCoy is injured, I really was hoping to see him perform tonight and how disappointing for him and the team.

Now if bama does win it will always be mentioned with the caveat that it might have been different had McCoy not been injured, so that's a no win as well.
