We lost a recruit to Arkansas today (congrats Cuz). This usually no big deal -- kids have achange of heart all the time --but, this was the most classless thing I have ever seen! He told our coaches last night AND this morning that he was coming to OSU. He held a big press conference this afternoon -- WORE a OSU pull-over, then ripped it off to unveil his Arkansas jersey. You all can HAVE Calvin Barnett -- I'm glad we aren't stuck with the fool. Word has it he might not qualify anyways!!

Wreck that is the lowest of low!  Oh my God I would be livid.    Oh man.  That is so unfair.  Karma will get that kid fo sure.

We had 3 waiting to announce today.  Got 2 of the 3.  Funny thing is the one we lost (to UCLA) is the one I was the most confident in.  Go figure.  DE from Oregon - if you were potentially the next Suh, why would you pick Neuheisal over Pelini?  Kid is real neat kid.  He has a single mom and little ones at home - they say he is really like a dad and his mom was sold on UCLA...oh well... I am real happy with the way they closed things.  Just read we got a kick butt kicker to walk on from TX.  Won some national field goal competition with 250 contestants.

PDH's team kicked some butt. Nice class

The bad thing is that he planned this out for some time ----- we could have used that scholly for someone who WANTED to come here! I'm sure our other choices went elsewhere, not much left when you are offereng the scholarship to "Day 2" guys!

This is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.  WR out of Miami supposed to be real good.  He visited us last year.  Never heard much about him after that.  I do remember reading we were in his top 5 a couple times and posters explained that it didn't mean anything because he had grade issues and we weren't pursuing him.

Well...read about his dramatic hat announcement today.  I bet our coaches would have crapped bricks if he had picked us.  This is almost as good as the guy who faked recruitment last year.  WOW.

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY OH MY!!!!!  We got just about everybody we wanted! When does that ever happen?
We reloaded....so look out SEC! I can't wait to see what Chiz does with a full roster of talent and some depth.

I am so excited about the future at Auburn! I've been watching film on some of our recruits, and we really did get some athletic kids with lots of promise. I hope they all work out, and end up playing for us.

These kids who do the grandstanding on signing day give the impression that they might not be team players. Sometimes those kinds of kids can be a disease that spreads in the locker room...allaboutme-itis. Very bad for team morale...

Couldn't find a utube of the crying scene.  What I did read he might not be able to enroll at FIU either.  So probably no papers from WVU and THAT has to be why he was crying so hard.   Monkey Devil!

Wow, that was a great story.  I  Dabo Swinney.

Wanna hear what Holtz did?  Lou that is?  Back in the 90s NE had 2 great defensive players that were brothers, the Peter brothers.  They played in the NFL.  Their youngest brother elected to go to Notre Dame.  He had a diving accident and was paralyzed.  ND did honor the scholarship (he had already signed), however the kid never got a call from Holtz.  Never heard from him again.  Tom Osborne and other coaches that had recruited him (USC, TX etc) wrote and called.

So I agree Wreck - there are some good ones and some bad ones.  Lou, you are no Dabo Swinney.

In case you missed it... to back up PDH's comment about highly ranked kids with a sense of entitlement... the 13 yr old commits to Kiffin.  Lord.

It restores my faith as well Wreck. Many times, coaches who do things like this, don't ask for the media attention when they do something of this nature.BIG thanx to any media outlet who covers some REAL storys in college athletics.Yes,it's about winning games but, also about winning the game of life!!

GOD BLESS ALL..SUPER BOWL TIME...
