Nice story! It restores my faith in some of these programs/coaches.
It restores my faith as well Wreck. Many times, coaches who do things like this, don't ask for the media attention when they do something of this nature.BIG thanx to any media outlet who covers some REAL storys in college athletics.Yes,it's about winning games but, also about winning the game of life!!

GOD BLESS ALL..SUPER BOWL TIME...

I really like Peyton but after finding out there are 2 former Huskers starting for the Saints (OLine and Safety) I have been rooting like the Homer I am.  Looks like the boys are getting a big fat ring.

what a wonderful story of commitment on Swinney's part, thanks for bringing that to the board KTF, it's so heartening. Swinney has Charlie Harbison on his staff and he's another one I can say from personal experience is an exceptional coach and human being. Birds of a feather.....

I think so too PDH and I loved seeing Brees with his little son out on the field too, he kissed him several times over and it touched me to see that side of him. The Saints defense hung tough, their coach took risks to win, and Brees might not have a rocket arm but his placement of the ball picked the Colts' defense apart. Well done Saints !!

I really thought going in - that the Colts were the better team. However, I was rooting for the "underdog" Saints. I told all that would listen that ANY outcome would not totally surprise me -- while it would not shock me that Indianapolis could win big -- I told them that I would also not be shocked to see N.O. come out BIG winners either! The Saints had a lot of "come from behond" wins this year. They were just simply the better team tonight!

I had ignored all the rumbling and articles on the teams switching conferences until yesterday when I read TX was in talks with the Big 10.

Most think it is a strategic move and won't happen.  I don't know who the Big 12 commissioner was who negotiated the TV contracts with ABC and ESPN but it is a crock of crap and that is what this is about - money.  I read that Vanderbelt makes more from TV games than TX does.  Go figure.

As for Colorado - I would love to see them play in the Pac 10!  LOL.  Like that will make a difference to them.  They should be focusing on putting a good product on the field.

Cate was QB who started the Colorado game (when Zac Robinson got hurt). He went 0-for 14 and was yanked at half-time. Remember when I was bitchin' at Gundy for NOT starting Weeden over him in the first place?!?. Word is Cate LOVES the reefer!!! NO loss -- you can have him!!

Bo doesn't let kids do reefer.  He kicks them all off the team.  He is a mean ass about this.  We had alot of that with Callahan.  Mothers should all love him. lol

That is one long chant!  He had to have practiced it alot just to remember it all.  It was so cool to hear him recite it.  Think he'll say it next year?
