Hi all... thought you should see this!!!  Garret OUT as USC's AD.. Haden in.

He is giving back Bush's Heisman.  Smart first move.

More here:

http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/ncf/news/story?id=5395550

I am on a computer at a hotel in Kansas - Had to bring my dog to Kansas State's vet hospital.  Hoping we get some answers... this is day 2.  If they fix her I might just buy her a purple jersey to wear on most Saturdays in the fall.
I've heard good things about K-State's Vet school - I hope everything goes well!

I'm not a big fan of Dennis Dodd -- but, he hits the mark here!

So Michigan is playing powerhouse Connecticut for the opening home game. Going backwards that wouldn't have been a second thought. Now its not a given. Maybe it would be better to follow Nebraska and Wreck's OSU  . Either way Kiwi's Dawg House will be open for business. Interesting that someone put AU stickers all over the Dawg House!

6 weeks til our first game.  Where did the summer go?  Big 12 media days this week.  Bet Bo P is excited to speak.  Monkey Devil!  He is on first and no doubt will leave dodge as soon as he ends his chat.  I'm looking forward to Tommy Tubbervilles' session since he was the only coach to question publicly the "deal" that weasel Dan Beebe put together.

Re my dog - I have nothing but glowing reports for K State's vet hospital.  Spent a couple long days down there but we believe they got to the root of the problem.  Knock on wood, if they are right they saved my dog's life.  She will wear some purple with her red on game days in tribute to them.

Kiffin pissed off more people this week?  Imagine that.  Hired TN Titans RB coach as OC for USC but failed to chat with HC prior to making contact.  Anyone surprised by that?

If Kiffen would cross a Head NFL coach,as well as a U$C alumni,he'll get U$C the death penalty along the road to destroying TROY from within!Once again, thanks go to Mike Garret. If the new AD doesn't fire kiffen quick,he may be looking to lose his job sooner then later!Anhyone else feel bad for U$C?I DON"T...Bow down to Washington!I look forward to the upcoming season and wish you all good luck this season, unless you play us(Nebraska)!!!!!!Blessings to all teams that there will be no MAJOR injuries this season,as well as NO off the field issues for our teams!

This is my kinda player.Roy Williams doesn't deserve to have anybody carry his pads! You gotta FAN in me Dez.Take Roy's spot with WORK ETHIC!Hey Roy.You gotta earn your money,or else you should give it back..OK.Off my soap box..

Dez refuses to carry Williams' pads

http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=5409306

On a second note.Roy is admitting  that it is a regular occurence for teamates to commit FELONIES against their teamates, and guys their supposed to go to war for.I must have a twisted logic to find that a bit over the top,NO?

"We'll find out. Definitely going to find out," Williams said. "I don't know. I've seen guys take people's credit cards and go fill up their cards and wife's cards and everything. There's a lot of dirt that goes on in that locker room."

A Husker perspective on our QB Jake Locker. Now,why would none of our Nebraska monkey's bring this to my attention?

"Okay I wasn’t stressing the Washington Huskies until I read this. A friggin’ 4.39 at QB? Ladies and Gentlemen, with the First Pick in 2011 Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Jake Locker of Washington. It’s a done deal. The guys a freak and everybody knows it. I still think Mark Ingram will win the Heisman a 2nd time but Locker is right there with him. The team went 0-12 when he was hurt. I repeat 0-12. Washington is a scary team under Steve Sarkisian. I predict a 9-4 team that has the potential to upset Nebraska Sept. 18th. Huskers you better mark this game on the Nebraska Schedule in bold, we need a spy on this guy all game."

He's that good,on and off the field. Here's an article from this weekend, where Jake went back to his hometown of Ferndale, which is close to the Canadian border.Population around 10'000.He does make everyone proud.Any other stories of players with great character from your universities is always appreciated.Especially in this day and age of the prima-donna athlete!God bless, from a Husky fan!

I'm getting excited Frijole!Just took a peak at Nebraska's first two games which should be a bit easier the Washington's first two although,Coach Akey has been doing a tremendous job at Idaho. They did get to a bowl last year.If you want to take a look at what he's about you may want to pull up some video from Washington state's defense from about,2003 on,as he was the defensive coordinator around that time.Just an FYI.I can't emphasize enough about both of us handling our business those first two games cause GAMEDAY will be on the shores of Montlake if we do!BYU isn't going to be an easy one!

I'm kind of torn on this one. Rookies have ALWAYS been "hazed" in the NFL -- all teams do it. You know what a fan I am of Dez -- but I think he should just suck it up and go along. He has fought hard (and succeeded) in removing his "Prima Dona" tag -- this will not help.
As for Roy Williams -- he's a tool and Dez will probably beat him out anyways. Hazing should NEVER stoop to anything illegal such as stealing a credit card!

Your kid may have a better chance than anyone realizes!

I don't think Ingram will repeat this year. There have been NUMEROUS complaints about Bama not being called for holding. That certainly helped Mark gain some extra yardage. I don't think they will get away with it again. Officiating was a huge issue last year, and things will be different this season. Plus they don't have the experienced personnel they had last year in some crucial areas. Bama will still be a very good team, but they may not go undefeated again. There are also some off the field issues coming into play also. Bama is involved in the same scandal that NC, So. Carolina and FL have been hit with. A star Bama team member has been suspended indefinitely. He may be ineligible because he also attended that same party in South Beach hosted by that agent, and it is considered a monetary gift by the NCAA. Bama could end up having the probation they are currently serving extended and have harsher penalties installed.
Those things always affect a team. I feel bad for the kids who were not involved. They will pay a price anyway.

A surprise team doing well in recruiting in the SEC is Mississippi State! Dan Mullen may have a team that will be more competitive from here on out. His recruits will get to play right off the bat, and by next year....look out! We'll know who let the dawgs out for sure. He's doing a wonderful job in Starkville, and I'm excited about watching his team play this year.

Lane Kiffen is making enemies all over the place. What a stupid, arrogant man. LK will manage to tear down what's left of USC's reputation. They should just pay him off before he does any more damage to their program.
TN dodged a bullet. They should be thankful to USC for taking that boob away from Knoxville.
Mr. Kiffen should make it a habit to avoid the state of TN for the rest of his life.

I would have to think that the new AD at USC knows his first job will be to can Kiffin.  Shouldn't be too hard since LK can't keep his mouth shut.  Pac 10 media days will be in New York City.  Imagine Lane responding to the NY press corp.
Guarantee he will say something embarrassing to the program.  He is on a short leash no doubt...
