Thank you Kiwi, that was very sweet.

Bean, Happy Mother's Day to all those pups and neices and nephews you care so much for!

Pdh, I know this is a tough day for you and that you are missing your mother so much but we embrace you as do your children, for all that you give so freely to those you love.

Cuz, Happy Mother's Day to you and your beloved children who adore you.

I've had a wonderful visit with son and my daughter, wouldn't trade them for all the world. Son's just left to travel to the gulf coast for beach and fishing with his cousin and his one week off from now until bowl season is completed. Some interesting news though, I'll email about that to each of you.

Thats what I get for posting off my cell phone. Kiwi's never been to Kansas yet. May have to move there, if the Wolverines don't find a QB, than my new name would be Toto. At least I would be able to continue with Toto's Dawg House.

Kiwi man... no harm done.  You go to the trouble of moving to Kansas you get your choice of a nightmare at KSU where former 72 yr old coach Snyder has graciously taken over and is admitting out loud it is a disaster OR Mangino at Kansas.  But heck just drive a few more hours to the land where football is king... Lincoln.

Monkey ladies - happy mother's day.  My dogs gave me grass clippings.  (mowed yesterday)  They are everywhere.  ha.

None glad you were able to enjoy the kiddies.  PDH, special hugs to you today.

Thansk to Kiwi, nonesy and all for the Mother's Day thougts. It was both a happy and sad day for me. My children were wonderful, as usual, and made the day a lot easier.  They always do something on Mother's Day that just lifts my spirits!

Whew, Kiwi....glad to hear you're not in Kansas anymore. We'd have to convert to BB totally!

AU still has no named QB1 either, so maybe you and I should go get a couple of undiscovered talents, and drop them off  for our coaches.... Monkey Devil!

Kiwi....I think you may have to open an annex for the SEC. It's gonna be a slaughterhouse this fall.

We may have to name this season the QB mystery season for our teams? I hear our starter might have an injury issue that's larger than originally thought, so I guess maybe we'll all be in the same boat together - but hoping we find some resolution soon.

Pdh - I knew your kids would try to fill the gap for you, such a blessing aren't they?

We had a new depth chart come out today, I'm just now finishing up work but it has some surprises on it - son had clued me into some that were coming. I have decided that football is rarely without a measure of drama !

Kiwi - whatever happened, if anything, with Greg Paulus? I haven't had time to check.........guess that's one more thing on my list to catch up on.

Bean, I'll trade for your pup's grass clippings, we've had so many monsoons that all Red brings in is mud!

Kiwi- this was on ESPN on May 1st? Paulus has offer to compete for the starting QB position? I know Duke's graduation was last Sunday........but not seeing anything else on this right now in my searches.

None - Paulus narrowed his choices down to Syracuse and Nebraska.  I think he will make his announcement soon.  I can't really remember how he even came to consider NU.  I know his lure to Syracuse is that they need a QB and he grew up in the area so it'd be like going home.  NU has a fantastic starting QB, a contendor is out with ACL and unknown when he could serve as a backup.  2 equally talented, less experienced guys with great upside that they want to redshirt.  So the cupboard isn't bare.  Paulus would have a chance to start but Bo tells it like it is and chances are he would be the backup.

He is majoring in journalism and that is important to him... not sure how the schools compare there.  I say this - if he picks NU I would be surprised but I would really admire him because he has a better chance of starting at Syracuse.  Frijole

Paulus concluding NU visit
I don't want to overdo it with the Greg Paulus stuff, but it's quite possible I might, so you'll have to already start forgiving me. But his decision between Syracuse and Nebraska and anyone else will obviously be news over the next week given his Duke basketball background.

Paulus did arrive in Lincoln yesterday. He spent some of his time touring Andersen Hall, home of UNL's journalism college. Paulus has expressed an interest in broadcast journalism as he ponders grad school options to go with his quarterback ambitions.

His visit was expected to conclude today. The thing his former high school coach Joe Casamento stressed to me the other day is that Paulus would be a high-character guy coming into any locker room.

"If he wanted to be safe, he would just go out, never do another thing and always talk about how great he was at Duke," Casamento said. “But he’s going to go out there and play another sport, and lay it out there.

"If he doesn’t get on the field, all those guys on ESPN and ABC, and all those newspaper guys are going to have a field day cutting him to pieces. But he doesn’t worry about it. I think that shows tremendous courage."

Casamento said on Wednesday he didn't expected a decision would probably come within the next two weeks. Paulus graduates from Duke on May 10.

So be it!

2009 is officially declared the The Season of the Great QB1 Mystery

FL and Texas are about the only ones I can think of right at the moment who have solved it. Tebow and McCoy were never a question, really. But even in the best situations...things do happen!

I hope the QB mysteries get solved... usually someone stands out after summer camp.  Good luck

Paulus picked Syracuse today and most NU fans were relieved.  We have very few schollies this year (thank u Callahan) and we have a fantastic starting QB.... and have plenty of bodies to put in at backup.  Paulus would never have started so I think he did what is best for him by going to Syracuse.

Looks like Kiffin is trying to get Mavre (the Miami QB) to walk on next year since he can't transfer with a scholarship.  Interesting...

Good news Michigan just signed Kiwi to the QB spot. It will be the first time in school history that the team started a real dog in place of what we've seen to date. Although throwing will be a problem the stats won't change from last year. Mobility will improve which should increase the ground game. Her 40 split time is 3.5sec.

I liked his comment that the passing stats will remain unchanged.  That is funny.  Well if you aren't a Michigan fan it is.  I just hope Rodriguez doesn't treat him like a dog.    oops.     That is some speed.  Must feed him some good snacks Dad.

My sources are saying that this will be it for Rodriquez, without a positive winning year. I'm not sure that Kiwi can turn this around. Just the jersey was tough to fit. Were still working on the helmet, its an NCAA rule.

Ask and ye shall receive.  Poor Kiwi.

I believe it is time for RR to show some progress.  You don't want another Charlie Weiss debacle... Good luck.
