Wow...our fourth season together....I know marriages that didn't last that long...

Bo Pellini is something else! If we couldn't keep him in the SEC, then I'm glad he's giving Nebraska new life. The Huskers have such a proud history....it's gonna be great seeing them get back to national prominence. I think he'll do it!

I hope Gene Chizik can do the same at AU. So far, he's been impressive, but we haven't played a game yet, so I'm holding back a total endorsement. It does look like he's doing some great things that will lead to success on the field, so I'm hopeful.

Hey nonesy....if you don't want that shrimp dinner.....Auntie PDH likes shrimp just fine!

Almost time to start the OFFICIAL SM CFB COUNTDOWN!!!!!!

Bean - son tells me I wouldn't believe some of what is said in the locker room, that even some of the most benign looking coaches well...........enough said?  I'm sure Bo is toughening up his crew and hopefully he's feeling like his program is reflecting his handprint by now.

Cuz - I promise I will let him cook for me, honestly I kicked off work today at 7pm, early for me and felt so tired I thought I'd lie down just a moment while I decided what I wanted to fix for dinner. WELL, I just woke up  I knew I was really tired when my Mother left and yep, indeed I was. Going to head back to bed now and just start really early with work in the morning. I do need a life but currently most every one of my colleagues is working long hours but trying to stay focused on the benefit of still having a job.

Pdh did you see Klaas' newest smiley?  Now we can do the monkey slide for the games  Come on over for shrimp Auntie, we would LOVE to have you join us

Son says he "gets locked up" on the 6th.......so yes, the season is close now.

Cuz, great to see you again!  Thanks for the message - please tell Casa hello and we will cheer son on for sure!  Wonderful news on the preseason recognition.

None, how was the shrimp dinner?

Was listening to Rivals radio the other day and Phil Steele had some nice things to say about Arkansas.  Tough schedule but says they are the "real deal".  Aren't you glad you aren't at year one of the coaching change.  Its tough because you don't know what you have.  Nor do the coaches or players.

Kiwi did you find a qb yet or are you suiting up?  Better get in some conditioning just in case.  You know we will cheer you on.

PDH what is the word out of your world?  I know recruiting has gone well.  How is the offense?  What style will they be running this year?

Getting close guys... practice starts next week here.  Yeah.

Bean he just arrived home, shrimp is tomorrow night now. daughter has a large event/order to get out by noon tomorrow so he's helping and so is Mom. Gonna be a looooong night, finish one job, start another

daughter has lyme disease so now she needs more help......

Team finally got their rings, the conference champ one is nice but the bowl one  excuse me but it's the biggest ring I have ever seen (and not in a good way)  oh well........

I'll let you know how that shrimp turns out but I told him if he would run get a latte for me to keep me awake that I wouldn't ask for anything else !

Must be time for football though, I noticed that the bios were updated this week, so we're close

Bean I hope Kiwi is working out, as son says "beasting it" so he can show them all how to do it to it this season !! Go Kiwi !!!!

none....I'll be there in spirit! I wish I could sample some of that boy's cookin'...Tell Nascar he can have my share so he'll be a beast on the field! I'll have some shrimp down here in his honor, though...

Sorry to hear about your daughter. My cousin's husband had Lyme for quite a few years. He contracted it when little was known about it, so he was misdiagnosed for a long time. Because of that, he suffers from the lingering effects of having it untreated for so long. It's good that she knows what she has. It will make all the difference, and she should recover fully.
We've had a case of swine flu, and a staph infection from a spider bite in my family this spring and summer, and I have been playing Step-N-Fetch-It for a while. It is another job, all in itself. My son and I stayed healthy, but the girls have really had a time.
beans...Our offense will still be relying heavily on our running backs. It's what AU does best, and we are loaded with talented backs. Our QB1 is still a mystery too, so a total spread won't work for AU just yet, and I don't know if we'll ever have it in it's true form. It'll be some kind of specific modification for the personnel we have, by necessity, just like most teams do. I don't think we have a QB1 capable of a Tebow kind of game just yet. Kodi Burns is not an accurate passer, and he has terrible footwork, but he's a good running threat. Our other QB1 contenders have the great arms, but not the scrambling, running ability that Kodi has.....
If we could just create one from all the parts and pieces we do have....
And we could let MI have what we didn't use....
We do have some good receivers too, so I suspect CGC will choose Neil Caudle because he's an awesome passer. I thought maybe they'd use Kodi because he has experience, but the way things are shaping up I'm moving away from that choice. The O-line has been beefed up, and they've added a few people, so maybe it won't be so soft this year.

casa's boy sounds like he's on the way to a big year!
How exciting for Speedy!

Yeah, I made it.  It was the only helmet that was a straight on shot I could use...it's a generic no name, lol.  I'll work on cheerleaders.

OH MY GOSH Klaas you ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're the best !!!!!!!!!!!

pdh - happy to report his fried shrimp were quite good, I saved you some

Daughter and I had a big even this weekend for her products son hasn't been real happy with us, I guess he likes a lot of attention  Oh well, we're doing the best we can. pdh, daughter was stage 2 when she discovered that pesky tick had left it's disease on her, but she's still far from well. She's going for more test this week, sigh. But I was able to help her enough lately that she's not losing ground with her bizness.

I'm sorry to hear you have had illnesses too, although I am beginning to think those who contract that swine flu now and before it has a chance to morph, might be the lucky ones? It really worries me.........

We'll be debuting some sports sweets products soon, hoping to capitalize on that segment of the market. I'll share photos of samples when we get those up and running.

Bean too funny that Klaas did that football monkey in Nebraska colors, sure you didn't slip her a stipend for that?

Two days to lockdown for son's team. I see Klaas has added more colors to the cheerleaders and I love this one Klaas !!!!!!!!!!!!

who's ready for some football ?????????????

I am although I am also realizing this being son's (also Speedy's I think) senior seasons.....a part of me is a bit melancholy about that

I hope our boys have banner seasons and that everyone's teams have something to celebrate this season
