NC Man On County's "Most Wanted" List Found Dead
12/30/2008 5:18:19 AM
Shelby, NC -- The skeletal remains of a man on Cleveland County's Most Wanted List since February 2007 have been found, more than two years after he was last seen.

Police say Larry Dean Mincey's remains were found in a wooded area on Christmas Day by a hunter.

Cleveland County Sheriff's Office spokesman Captain Bobby Steen says the hunter's dogs also found a wallet and a pill bottle with the bones.

The remains were taken to the medical examiner's office in Charlotte. Steen said exactly how Mincey died won't be known until the results of his autopsy are complete, but no foul play had been suspected.

Mincey, last seen in 2006, was wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
