I think they are doing this to make it harder for a jury to send her to death row or impose a harsher sentence.

Personally, I think it's her hair.  It makes her look years younger...  give her back her old cut, you could see her face (which doesn't look good up close).. and we all might be in agreement over her looking older.  But her hair is growing out (which the defense can't help), thus the particular style. My hair more or less looks like that.. I'm in my mid 30's and am always told I look very young for my age.

I think she pretty much looks the same just no makeup. I am sure she hates looking "plain" especially if she is gonna be on TV. I would guess that she is not really paying attention to what is being said and is probably in her own little world.

I found it strange that they didn't come when judge said KC would be in court.  Don't think they live that far.  They if they left when KC did, they would have arrived at the same time she did.

 In our case, returning from break we could barely squeeze in to get a seat, because of students there to observe. The judge even said they had equal right to be there, before us even.  I just always returned early, but the defendents family nearly sat on our laps. These cases are open to the public, with no protocol for the people involved.

Well, I'm in the minority. I think Casey looks very good, her complexion has cleared up, she seems more alert and focused.

It's amazed what forced abstinence from booze, illegal drugs, and wanton orgies will do for a body.

 

Bet she gets a good nights sleep, too!!

I am sorry,but sedated or not, If I were sitting and listening to people talk about my childs skeletal remains, I would COMPLETELY lose it. She really does not care....

My guess is if she was crying before she arrived, the only reason is because she didn't want to be on camera looking like she does.  Nothing to do with Caylee.

I seriously don't know how she is able to sit there like nothing is happening.....  She appears nervous but vacant.

I'm sure someone will post this whole hearing, but in the first 15 min or so Baez clearly states that he "took custody of Caylee's remains"  and goes on to talk about how he is keeping details of the funeral quiet because it's no ones business.

I have to say I'm not sure how she should be reacting emotion wise. Seeing her so stone faced just makes her look cold and uncaring. If she were laughing (or smirking alot) it would look innappropriate and immature. So, I don't know. Maybe just a little emotion from her, or reaction of some sort hearing "her daughters remains" etc. Maybe if she looked a little sad knowing why she's there and that her daughter is dead, not missing like she claimed all those months. IDK????

i agree, i think she has only been crying because she had to do something she didn't want to. not to mention it was last minute. i didn't hear the part about her releasing the remains to baez, but if she did, that shows to me, she had to have the last word. i think she also looks like she can't wait to get out of there! jmo.
