ARUBA: It's all about Natalee...we won't give up!

« Reply #960 on: January 13, 2009, 11:16:44 PM »

I don't believe Hotshot has answered why Eduardo Mansur was on board that ship the whole time.  I think I saw today where Jen said he was not on the ship according to Kyle.  Wonder which it is, was he or was he not on the ship the whole time.  According to Hotshot Jossy said he was.  If Jossy says he was I would like to see what Jossy has to say he told him about what went on during those dive/recovery trips.

And even though Jossy's letter said he was on the ship every day; according to Kyle....he WASN'T on the ship on January 7th when the evidence was bagged and taken.

Plus Jossy said Eduardo told him "the cage is of an industrial type and not similar to the one that went missing the same morning Natalee disappeared."  But Mos says the cage from the fisherman's huts wasn't missing!
Don't forget that Caps says she was cut up into pieces at was at the rocks, the pond, the cemetary, and just maybe the cage!

Bag of salt or two with that one too....

My understanding was that Eduardo was the leader of the Aruban Dive Team.  Why he would be on board the Persistence every day is beyond me.

Hotshot just emailed this to me from Jossy.  Hotshot is having problems logging in, I have no idea why as she is not banned.

Quote
From Jossy:

No, my son was not on the dive team, but he was on board the ship every day. What he told me is that the cage is of an industrial type and not similar to the one that went missing the same morning Natalee disappeared. The ship did map a vast area and was able to pinpoint close to 100 items of interest on the bottom of the ocean along the coast. Just when they were about to examine them, they ran out of money because it is an expensive venture.

Take care

Jossy

O.K. I'm confused.  I thought Eduardo was co-founder of the Aruba Search and Rescue Team and the team on the ship was the police team.  Is this one and the same?

You could be right Blue Moon.

I may have got it wrong.

Can you provide a link to images of that National Enquired article that was most likely posted on the SM site.

I never did see that article.  I meant to buy it but ... cannot remember why it never happened.

If anyone finds the money, folks found here may want to know about it.  How much does anyone think may be found?

The reward for Natalee was $1 million...

Who would pay more than that?

Casino interests?  Kalpoes?  Aruba 'tourism'?  Moneylaundering interests on the island?  Hugo?  Russia?

In looking through the google search for Superior Offshore, lots of information on their financial problems.  All of this was before, during and after Natalee.  Was this trip an adventure to make money, either from this adventure of finding Natalee or in my mind worse yet from the Aruban island.  Did this find go to the highest bidder?  Would have helped if they got a BIG job out of this trip.

jmho - I think Offshore started dropping before the search.  They are currently trading for less than a dollar...pennies...

I don't think a "BIG job" would have helped.

imho

Just an aside, it appears to me (an outsider) when it comes to CAPS that perhaps his entire intent was to distract and deflect all over again. I have yet to hear of one bonafide insight or result or impact toward solving this case that rolled off his fingertips or lips.

CAPS if you are reading you did wreak a fair amount of havoc and damage with a significant ripple effect. If you were here, regardless of "who" you supposedly are, I expect I'd be tempted to push you over an edge or two !

Carry on, sorry but I just had to post how ridiculous it is that after ALL these years of searching for Natalee that some still forget Aruba disappeared Natalee, Aruba covered it up, Aruba allowed her to be murdered with no justice. If CAPS is in bed with Clyde well there is no doubt in my mind where CAP's allegiances lie.

EDUARDO MANSUR

1.  THE GARDENER

NANCY GRACE
Nancy Grace for July 26, 2005, CNNHN
Aired July 26, 2005 - 20:00:00   ET

JOSSY MANSUR: That is correct, because we were searching for him for three- and-a-half weeks after we heard the rumor about the domino game in prison. And then we wanted to know his identity. And we searched and searched with a team that we have investigating this, Eduardo Mansur (ph) and (INAUDIBLE) and they finally found him last Friday.

And they did a lot of talking to him and reassured him that the paper will stand behind him, as well as nothing the police -- the police aren`t going to do anything to him. So he was finally convinced to go to the police.

He went at 7:00 at night. And he laid off his sworn testimony and signed it that same night.

The Mansur "investigative team," including Wood, Eduardo Mansur, and other Mansur employees and family friends, began holding nightly strategy sessions at the team's de facto headquarters: Hooters. One night they were inside poring over rumors when a Mansur cousin's teenage son suddenly blurted out, "I know Cumpa! He's my uncle's gardener!"

The boy hopped in Eduardo Mansur's truck and led Wood to a large seaside home owned by Jossy Mansur's cousin Eric Mansur, a wealthy importer. Wood found Cumpa, whose name turned out to be Carlos, in the yard. "He tells me that on that night, May 30, he couldn't sleep," Wood recalls. "It was 2:30 and it was so hot—he didn't have air-conditioning—he said, 'I got up, I told my wife I'm going to my boss's house,'" which was air-conditioned.

According to Carlos, while driving to Eric Mansur's home a little before three that morning, he took a shortcut, a dirt road through a vacant lot beside the Marriott. To his surprise, he found a car blocking the road. Beside the car were two large mounds of dirt. When he peered into the car, Carlos said, he recognized Joran and the Kalpoes. He said they covered their faces. He then drove on.

Carlos reluctantly climbed into Wood's truck and allowed himself to be driven to police headquarters. He disappeared inside for four hours.

JIM KNOX, COAST TO COAST CANINE SEARCH: Well, when it happens, it happens. But Equusearch -- the fact is, I believe that they sent, like, 70 people overall in and out to Aruba to aid in this search. They did a lot of quality work. They did a lot of work that we were -- I mean, we were sick on Monday when we went to the dump, and after all the work they did there at the dump, and after a local citizen, Eduardo Mansur, who spent his own money hiring the backhoes to dig the hole where the witness said that he saw the blond hair and the wading pool being buried at the dump -- two weeks` work, and it took us two days to get a permit to go into the dump and...

3.  LEAKED CONFESSION

'Rita Cosby Live & Direct' for August 12
updated 7:18 a.m. PT, Mon., Aug. 15, 2005

COSBY:  AWell, this allegation could be a bombshell, but some of the language is not so crystal clear.  Here‘s part of what the “Diario” newspaper there in Aruba is reporting, what Joran Van Der Sloot said to police.  Now, when Joran was listed—he‘s listed here as JAP.  You can see it there.  He was asked what happened between Natalee Holloway and Deepak Kalpoe.  Quote, it says, “He declared that he thought that the suspect, D. Kalpoe, raped and killed the girl”—some pretty stern (ph) language.

I‘m going to read it to you again.  He says he thought that D. Kalpoe had declared that he had thought that he had—that the suspect, D.  Kalpoe, had raped and killed the girl.  Again, there‘s some conditioning in the language there.

And joining me now from Aruba, Eduardo Mansur with the “Diario” newspaper.  Eduardo, how did you get this document, to begin with?

EDUARDO MANSUR, “DIARIO”:  OK, outside of the newspaper, we have a mailbox that people bring us all kinds of information, and they dropped it in there.

COSBY:  Do you believe it‘s credible?  Do you believe it‘s legitimate?

MANSUR:  Oh, yes.  It‘s got signatures of four detectives, whom I know, so we know it‘s credible.

It doesn't make sense to me either.  Unless he was there to help "develop" the relationships that Kyle described to us between the Persistence crew, ALE, Coast Guard, and everything else in Aruba's interest.  Or possibly to keep those "not" on board the ship informed of all activites?  JMO

http://www.nholloway.blogspot.com/

Quote
Sun 27-Jan 2355 hrs
The Persistence left the dock this morning at 0740 hrs. The 15kt winds out of the east lapped up rather tranquil 2-3ft seas. It's as calm as we've ever seen it offshore here. The Aruba Coast Guard boarded the Persistence for a friendly visit at 0810 hrs this morning. For an hour we shared coffee, traded T-shirts, swapped stories, and showed them our progress. They were extremely impressed by the side scan sonar capabilities and 3-D bathymetric imagery. After a round of hearty hand shakes and a few good pictures, they boarded their approximately 30ft long rigid-hull inflatable boat and pushed off from the Persistence. With a smile they shouted to us, “Would you like a little demonstration?” At once, the Coast Guard took off with a sudden blast from two massive inboard engines. In no time the nimble boat was leaping wave to wave at nearly 40kts. Several times the boat came clear out of the water. It was thrilling not only to watch the playful demonstration, but to watch the trust build and friendships form.

Working with the Aruba police dive division, Coast Guard, and Port Authority has been an astonishing experience. Since December 15th we've established a solid working relationship based on openness and trust. Most of the successful rapport was due to getting the media hype out of the way and working together shoulder to shoulder through time. We've helped each other however and whenever we can. They've treated us with decency and respect and we have treated them as friends and allies, which they are. I wish we had a month ahead of the project just to ascertain the relationships and bonds. Although highly skeptical and suspecting in the beginning, it's clear we're all carefully and diligently working towards a common goal. It seems we share the same attitudes of integrity, courage, dedication, and hope. We’ve all struck an accord in the desire for closure and healing for the families involved and restoring the relationship between our beloved countries.

Just a couple comments before bed:

After looking at pictures, we decided it was not Comemencia on the Persistence.

Jossy's brother is not on the Dairio board.  I believe that Louis is Jossy's son.

Oduber did go after Jossy and called for a  boycott of the paper.  I'm not so sure everyone is afraid of him.

That's my concern!The Mansur's must know!

I stand with the girl, Natalee Holloway.

"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

Jossy and Oduber are POLITICAL enemies - nothing more, nothng less.

Yes, the politics does seem to be a huge problem, in this case.
