I was of the fence about the suicide attempt and....well, I've fallen off the fence and George can go to he!! along with the rest of 'em.

Good morning everyone! 

A few things I want to mention. 

Last night, in the earliest reports by media, it was said that when found, George had to be resuscitated.  Then later said that he had no drugs.  What did he need to be resuscitated from???  Some form of meds perhaps.. or... ? 

Also it was mentioned that there were TWO notes found, one in the car and one in the motel room, both unfinished.  Texts messages to family, none to Cindy.  And a note (or text?) that was finished, successfully sent to LE. 

What I'm thinking this morning is that it's very possible whatever he sent to LE contained either the truth of what he knew, or.... perhaps he made up a bunch of stuff taking the entire blame for Caylee's death on himself to perhaps get Casey free, then perhaps did intend to take his life before they could disprove him. 

Not sure yet if what happened last night was an actual suicide attempt or a cry for help.  We do know, and it has been mentioned already, that when someone is serious about completing suicide, they just do it, no calls/texts, no telling anyone who could have a chance to intervene.  So on the face of it, it appears that this was a cry for help.  On the other hand, he may have tried to write those notes to explain himself, (perhaps couldn't finish them) and then made the calls to Nejame and ?? to apologize and say thank you, before attempting to take his life.  Because the very earliest reports were that he needed to be resuscitated.  Not sure why they are saying this morning that there was no actual attempt made.  So again I wonder, why did they need to resuscitate? 

Color me skeptical re GA needing to be resuscitated.. I saw a video of him being escorted into the car.. I dont know any paramedic or fire dept down here who would resuscitate a patient and not transport them via ambulance to a hospital.. just sayin..

I know, it doesn't make sense.  Yet we sat here last night in shock and read those early reports as they came in...

You know....we've actually witnessed this family unit dissintigrating before our eyes; maybe now C&G will come to understand that they have to work at saving the family they have left...that THAT is the most important thing now.  Caylee is gone and they can't help Casey at this point.  George, Cindy, Lee - need to take care of each other now.

It is very, very hard, after the death of a child, for a family to go on, even when there isn't the potential for blaming and finger-pointing that there is in this case.

In George's case, the loss of Caylee is probably only part of the reason for wanting to end his life. As people have said over and over again in this forum, who would hire any member of the Anthony family now? What sort of future can any of them look forward to?

ok, let's look at this note another way, say I'm seriously getting ready to off myself (I'm not) -- do you really think I would write a note confessing all my sins? I doubt it. I think I would try my best to convey my sorrow and the reasons I could no longer go on and try my best to make my loved ones understand it was not their fault.

I mean I'm just asking what we were expecting? Why would he leave behind a note that would hurt his family even more? He is the man who tries to smooth things over. Perhaps that has always been his role in the family and even "at the end" it would be his role. Just guessing ...

   I think I a glad that I missed most of this latest drama.  I do not believe this was a serious attempt by GA.  Men who try suicide almost always pick a method that will end with the result that they want.  He was at the motel with his blood pressure meds and beer.  Now it appears that in the note he is implicating Casey's friends in Caylee's death.  I am wasting no sympathy on the Anthonys.  This just looks like another attempt at smoke and mirrors to me.

Well LE took his gun, and they haven't returned it. I think had they, he would have used it. He only bought the gun in August or September and made a statement after the GJ testimony that he had contemplated suicide a couple weeks earlier.

Brad Conway mentions the fact that he had a gun but was confiscated (which we know to be true) in the 911 call about George missing.
