Hey --- this pic just jogged something in my memory.  Quite early on in this case (July?) I seem to remember seeing a TV report showing George packing up his vehicle, supposedly driving to Georgia to check on a "Caylee sighting."  He placed a large cooler (ice chest) into the vehicle and I had that thought....  Caylee could fit in there....

Anyone else remember?  It seems like he was spotted again a few hours later back in Orlando, and someone was commenting that it was an awfully quick round trip to Georgia??  Am I crazy?  Anyone remember seeing this, or did I dream it???

I remember that!  Some thought he was taking off and not coming back.  I read later that he had taken the cooler and put water bottles in it for their volunteers at that stand they had.

Yes, I heard the meowing...and it wasn't faint (well, not on this end anyway).  I recall that it was during interview of the guy who "befriended" Nejame and CA--a very odd interview inmho (notwithstanding the kitty sounding off in the backround ) ha ha.

All kidding aside, some folks haven't abused their auditory senses like others.   And this coming from someone who was a habitue of some of the greatest rock concerts of all time (imho of course).

Btw, Greta was out of her league w/her "interesting" guest...and no doubt she was getting the feedback from the kitty in her ear too ha ha.  She ain't all that great on her feet.    I got a huge kick out of it 'cause I recall some absent Siamese kitty friends from my youth that would have never allowed a remote transpire w/out vocalizing their feelings on the subject haha. 

Heck, I'dve told the guest to bring on the kitty for a cuddle--if for nothing more than to shut it up for a moment or two just to keep the show on an even keel.

Whatev. 

All this to say, nope you ain't goin' crazy.  Although you are welcome to pretend to be hearing kitties meowing if it's to your advantage.

Hey, maybe alleged perp can try that tactic.  Though my firm belief is that we ain't heard nothing yet.

The investigation has certainly made use of the FBI crime labs, the Secret Service forensics specialists, the Univ. of Tennessee body farm and many other high profile labs.  I did read that samples of evidence were sent to three different labs for independent testing.  I really think the OCSO is using every resource at their disposal to fully investigate this case.  They have reached out and involved the very best crime-fighting resources this country has to offer.  Baez will have a tough time refuting this evidence.

AZ, I must agree.  But when I think of the Secret Service,  I think of protecting the President.  Maybe a little naive here, but there is the FBI, the CIA, and all sorts of other investigative units.  I do not see the SS as one of those Government units.  Sorry, but there is more here than meets the evidence

This issue keeps coming up... so I thought I would just add --- I don't know if this holds any significance whatsoever, but I did notice that those docs relating to the Secret Service work that was done contained the heading "Electronic Crimes" or something like that... who knows?  Anything is possible, really...

From the documents they needed more sophisticated equipment to get the second round to extract information.  Maybe they had the newest, more sophisticated equipment.
I can see the FBI doing it, because it's across State Lines, but the Secret Service?? Maybe it has something to do with the Secret Service's greater authority due to terrorist's threat.

They primarily investigate credit card fraud, check washing, (as some suspected of KC), online fraud, and identity theft.  I believe we are going to see KC connected with some other things.  I have always thought that "algerian scam" that supposedly George was taken for a lot of money was done by KC and if so, the SS would be right in the middle of this investigation. He may also not be the ONLY one.  

Some might say, she never had any money - but meth/coke habits are very had to support and I am convinced she was into drugs heavily.

Turbo, Deenie has posted a couple of times with official info re. Secret Service and their addtl mandate is to aid missing and exploited children too. And they have hot shot technology at their disposal. 

It really gets me that the big guns have been brought to bear on a case that might well have been lost in the cracks.

Now these folks have two branches of the feds on 'em. 

I think I'd be seeking immunity too...big time.
