Steel Monkey...that's what I keep wondering, what will the defense be? The nanny defense would be insane to go with, and now it looks like Baez might attempt to make Morales the fall guy. I'm still thinking it will be some mental defect strategy, I don't think it will work, but I don't know what else they could go with.

I am curious with you NRCG.  I think though Baez would be even more of a dumbass if he tried the mental capacity defense as he already proclaimed that she was not mental when the first DP attorney had been brought in.  The first DP attorney wanted her to undergo a psych eval and testing, Baez said no way as she was perfectly sain and healthy.  If he were to renig on that for sure the prosecution would be all over it with a recording of his original claim of her sanity being intact.  Then again, he is just that stupid, so you could be right on target with this.  The man has a head full of hot air.

IMO if Jose was planning on a mental defect defense he would have had her seeing doctors for that while in jail.So far no doctors are visiting her(or would they transport her to the doc's offices?)going by her visitor logs.IF Jose is going for this type of defense,he better get cracking to establish it.

a few concerns and questions i have:

baez is being investigated by the bar for two things, 1- falsely advertising himself. advertising is no longer prohibited, however it seems he has misstated his experience and qualifications. 2- false statements made by him via his 'media' connection todd black.

would either of those two things be able to be used by casey as a claim of ineffective council?

could she claim no knowledge of them since theyve come to light since shes been incarcerated?

could that be part of why baez has imposed the no visitation rules, to ensure he stays on the case and garner publicity for himself?

I believe:
  When the trial starts the first thing the judge will do is to disregard all the atrocious rumors regarding the entire Anthony family.  The only information the jury can consider will be what is validated for evidence there in the courtroom.  That is when we will hear clear and precise confirmation proving that Casey and only Casey had motive and opportunity to murder her child. Everything we have been hearing now means naught until proved in a court of law.  Then – Only Heaven can help Casey. 
That is what I believe and am waiting for.

The sad of the story is Spoken Words can hurt so badly then time will heal all wounds.  The dynamics of this entire case will have wounded so many, needlessly so.

I agree with everything that you are saying.  I do think though, regardless of what a Judge tells you, a jury, what to think, you are still going to have all the media and news hipe thoughts in your head...that is what the defense could be counting on..regardless of what you have been told to do, those tidbits will come back in to your thought process.

I agree Dolce, however when the jury deliberates, I think between 12 jurors, all the trash will be thrown out.  At least that is what I hope!

Okay so then the only defense perhaps will be go after LE. Evidence has been tainted, LE after her immediately, try to dig something up on some of the detectives, etc.

George now qualifies for SSDI based on a pysch disability... 
He will have income soon.. maybe Conway will help him get it

No offense, but this is impossible. First of all, SSDI takes a year or more to get, IF you get it. But more importantly, it takes a LOT more than one little failed suicide attempt to establish disability. You need a psychiatric diagnosis. You need documented proof that your condition keeps you from working.

And if you have more than $6,000 yr coming into your home from any source, for any reason, you WILL NOT GET one dime. EVER.  Take it from one who knows from experience.

You're right.   I called my daughter this morning - who works at Social Security Admin in Baltimore - and she agreed.   He would have to go through a lot of steps - and a lot of counselling - before he qualified SSDI.       

The way I see it, they are not gunning for SSID.  They are gunning for the HUGE payout from Hollywood.

Yes - Hollywood/publishers and in their sites;  Somewhere along the way I thought that I had read that George already had SSDI.  I wonder who George's attorney was that helped him with that ?   Conway I wonder ?

Second, the OCSO, at the end of the interview with Tony seemed to give him money and get him to go undercover?  What was that about?

About GA's letter! Last I heard, LE had the letter & it had not been turned over to anyone. And since it seems as though George & Cindy have distanced themselves from Baez, I doubt that he would have it to give to Geraldo. Conway is strictly, all about the Anthony's, Baez is all about Casey. IMO

I hear what you are saying, but what is interesting is late Friday afternoon Baez filed a motion to get more info on R Morales, could it be possible he is one of Casey's friends that George was mentioning in his note.

IMO Jose filed to get that info on Ricardo because of the last doc dump.In there is the info about Ricardo's 2nd LE interview,about the LE search on his computer.Apparently before Ricardo handed over his computer,he tried to erase some stuff but LE investigated what he erased and determined that it had nothing to do with this case.I guess Jose wants to know what info was erased to see for himself.

Ricardo has also taken and passed a polygraph.

I can't see that they have any choice other than to tear down each piece presented, try to create shadows about anyone in any way connected, and in the end try to argue that there simply isn't enough to be 100% sure Casey did it. They'll try to define reasonable doubt as being 100% sure.

They'll also do everything possible to show that LE did not thorougly investigate anyone or anything else but Casey, so who knows what an equal effort elsewhere would have shown.

If Bonehead does throw Ricardo under the bus, or try to blame it on someone else, what in the world could he claim the motive was?

I think that will be the tough part for him, and the part no jury would buy.  Nobody had the motive(s) but Casey.

Motive is going to be the end all of this trial.

CA wanted Caylee for herself, so she did it.
GA hated KC, killed Caylee out of vengence, so he did it
LA is a warped individual who also killed the jogger in the park, so he did it.
Tony did not want to compete with the kid so he did it.
Ricardo is obviously into chloroforming females, so he did it.
Amy was pissed that KC stole money from her, so she did it.
Forget everything you heard about this Zanny person - she did not do it.

Okay fine members of the jury - take your pick from the above.

I believe they will use George did it.  Now we have an event which, helps with that defense, with his attempted suicide.  He was the last one to see Caylee by his own admission and I believe they are now just working out the details of HOW he did it and when he put the body in KC's car.  

Excellent points turbo, but just how did KC drive around with her daughter in the trunk for days, and how come she never told anyone her daughter was missing.  In order to implicate GA, KC would have to be involved somehow.  That goes back to admitting a measure of guilt, which she will not do.

I have a lot of confidence in jurors as I think they take their responsibility very seriously.  This will be a heart wrenching case for the jurors.
They take an oath to consider only the evidence presented to them.

I was thinking about that this morning Tony doing some investigation and they gave him money, I wish I knew what that was about. And with the new names being brought up, your guess is a good one, and the other thing we will understand I think is quite a stretch to say the least, because I can't imagine anyone understanding what the defendent did, no way.

Steel you left out Baez himself.  He knew Casey from before, Caylee was his, he killed her to further his career and he and Casey lived happily ever after.

That is absolutely the BEST explaination for all of this!
