1 2 next Casey Anthony's murder trial could be months or even years away, but her lawyer is already hinting that he wants the case moved out of Orlando to ensure an unbiased jury.

Attorney Jose Baez hasn't filed a request for a change of venue yet but said last week that he plans to do so soon.

Taking a first-degree murder trial on the road is pretty rare but it does happen, authorities say. And it's no simple task to move a proceeding to another location -- a decision a judge does not make lightly.

One side -- usually the defense -- must convince the judge that the suspect will not get a fair trial in the current location. Too much publicity or negative media coverage can make it impossible to find 12 jurors plus alternates who haven't made up their minds.

TV Guy Hal Boedeker's commentary on the Casey Anthony case coverage For Anthony, "that could be difficult anywhere, but they need to try to give her a fair trial," said University of Florida law professor Jennifer Zedalis.

Anthony, 22, is charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie. The story has received intense media coverage since it first grabbed headlines last July. It has been on the covers of People magazine several times and has been the focus of Dateline NBC and ABC's 20/20 shows.

Circuit Judge Stan Strickland has not set a trial date. But some say when he does, the media circus around the case will only intensify.

"Short of Mars, I don't know where you can send this case," joked Diana Tennis, an Orlando defense lawyer who is following the case.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A source close to the investigation into the death of Caylee Anthony told WESH 2 they would not oppose the Anthony family reuniting at the Orange County Jail with their daughter, Casey Anthony, via a video hookup. But that would be the closest they could come to mourning Caylee as a family.

The lawyers for George, Cindy and Lee Anthony said the family would like to have some time to grieve Caylee together. A corrections spokesman said it would be "highly unlikely" the family could reunite with Casey Anthony in the jail in person.

One investigator WESH 2 spoke with said he would not oppose the family having a video visitation with Casey Anthony as long as someone from the jail or law enforcement was there to monitor what happens.

In the past, those visits have been videotaped and made public.

   Oh, the melodrama just keeps coming....

Too late for this years Oscar noms but maybe next year.

Sounds like trying to cover their azz. This makes it worse for JB and the info turned in by "Todd Black"...now which one was it? At least we are keeping entertained while waiting on a doc dump or a trial.

The guy who is the investigator for defense might backfire on Casey. If there is stuff going on with friends, Fusian, etc that is worth bringing up it would definitely impact on what Casey was into or what people she hung out with. I don't think this guy is going to do much except give us hope for more "bombshells" Nancy can talk about.

Wow...I for one hope that Baez can stay on this case.  If they dismiss him and have to get a new attorney, unless they went with Baden's wife, it could be years and years before the case gets to trial. 

I agree.  If I recall Baden's wife cannot be lead council on this case because she's not licensed to practice law in Fla.?  Am I right on that?  I'm not sure.  And besides that I would miss terribly all the fun we have w/Baez, the first hispanic lawyer to lead a capital case of this magnitude!

I am pretty sure that JB will not be disbarred before this trial and even if it happens, Baden will take over and will not delay the trial much.

I got a feeling its going its to be connected up to someone she met through Universal. She may of looked up escort services and maybe even tried it but I think she was aiming to be modeling for some more high end erotica magazines.

I got a feeling its going its to be connected up to someone she met through Universal. Mrs. Baden is on this case pro hoc vice  which means able to practice [ in a Florida courtroom ] for this particular case/occasion only, in spite of the fact she doesn't have a Florida law license.  I do not know if she could replace Baez as lead counsel.

I do remember that conversation with Lee. The reason I say 2006 is because of Caseys halloween photos, her hair color and look is the same. Shes wearing the deck of cards outfit.
