Someone asked if there weren't a lot of Dutch Surnames in that area.  Yes, there are a lot in the entire State of Georgia.  I have one and that is where I was born but Georgia is one of the 13 original colonies and lots of them actually go back that far.  Doesn't mean anything.  So don't let that fool you unless there is a direct connection.  Very common names for the region.  

Some pre-date Revolutionary War and lots from 1700's.  Many of the names have been Anglicized, too, but sound the same or similar.  We tend to forget they are Dutch until someone notices that.

Going to take more cold meds and head back to bed after a swing by the Front Page.  So glad Beth has the attention and help of yet another Dutch investigative journalist.  If we need to do anything, Klaas, just let us know.  That is the Good News of the Day.  I am sure she will do wonderfully at presenting her story of Natalee's disappearance.  Lord knows she has had enough practice!  

I still see so much misinformation posted at certain sites whose initials are RU that I just have to wonder why they do that.  Well, I mean the obvious but it doesn't change anything to lie about it as they do.  They try to change facts like when things happened things already documented.  Guess still rewriting things more to suit themselves.

If the Dutch team fails to see the glaring inconsistencies and the ludicrous practices by ALE, it can only be because they want to do so.  Remember Dutch law professors have already called the manner in which this tragedy has been investigated such things as insane and contrary to all logic, etc.  It's too late to un-do that and pretend all was normal.

Being a Yankee -- I was born and also grew up in the 13 original colonies (actually, the one I was born in used to be referred to as 'new amsterdam').

And the area I grew up in had many artifacts and digging sites from the American Revolution.

I didn't go to school with many that had Dutch names, however. Just ask Deetch

I wasn't trying to be fooled -- I was looking for a reason that the Gottenboes family would have specifically chosen that area.

When I saw the Dutch names of the city officials, I thought perhaps that was that was the connection why they chose the area -- someome they knew.

Klaas and Grande apparently have discovered the connection is neighbor from Aruba -- someone they knew.

That's all. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I saw the picture.  It's creepy. But it's kinda like the belt pic, are we seeing this picture in the context in which it was taken? Or are we seeing the pic isolated?  I don't care.  It's creepy either way.  Consider the subject.  I think he will "out" himself eventually concerning Natalee's disappearance.  At least I hope so.  Or maybe if everyone starts to ignore the delicious sporter, he'll revert to normal behavior, slip up and get caught the NEXT time.  And there will be a next time.
