I believe that once the defamation lawsuit has concluded and ... the Natalee Holloway case fades completely from media attention ... the Kalpoes' days on earth are numbered IF they do not come forward to the FBI with the WHOLE truth and seek asylum in the States.

Aruba and Holland cannot take a chance that the knowledge which Deepak and Satish possess pertaining to the events encompassing the morning when Natalee Holloway disappeared and ... those who participated in those events ... would be exposed at some future date.  Exposure could be motivated by greed or conscience.  Either way ... the "powers that be" behind the coverup that has prevented justice from prevailing for Natalee Holloway  know that the Aruban house of cards would collapse.

If the Aruban "powers that be" do not stand in the way ... maybe Deepak and Satish will catch a flight ... leave Aruban soil for the last time and ... hightail it to the States in time for the disposition.

When the alternative is considered ... placing themselves at the mercy of the American Justice System ... in exchange for asylum/witness protection ... would appear to be in their best interest.

If the Kalpoes are offered asylum or witness protection ... the Aruban Justice Minister would alledge that the FBI are interfering in an ongoing Aruban criminal investigation.  It would be a can of worms but ... after five long years ... Natalee Holloway's parents will have been afforded the "confirmed" truth regarding the disappearance of their daughter.

Crucial Natalee Holloway witness dies

Thursday 11 February 2010

Paul van der Sloot, father of the chief suspect in the disappearance of US teenager Natalee Holloway, is reported to have died on the island of Aruba at the age of 57.

The father of Joran van der Sloot, the teenager who was with Holloway on the night she vanished, collapsed during a game of tennis.

He is considered a crucial witness in the mysterious vanishing of Holloway, who went missing on the last night of a graduation class school trip to the Caribbean island in May 2005.

Joran van der Sloot has admitted being with Holloway on the beach the night she died. He told an undercover tv reporter that a friend had dumped her body at sea.

TV crime reporter Peter R de Vries, who has followed the case closely, says on his website he is convinced Paul van der Sloot helped his son in covering up the crime.

'I am personally convinced he knew more [about the case] and helped his son that night,' De Vries wrote. 'But he has now taken that secret to his grave.'

BETH HOLLOWAY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY'S MOTHER: I think that was one of his excuses of why they stopped at his apartment. His apartment, by the way, is detached away from the main residence. And, you know, if you've got an individual that you're going to take advantage of, it's not likely that you're going to go to the beach. You're going to go to your apartment. And we believe that's where they stopped, and that's where the incident occurred.

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY, NATALEE`S MOTHER: Well, Nancy, I would imagine that it means that they`ve gathered new evidence to warrant this re-arrest of the Kalpoe brothers. And there`s no way you`re going to convince me that Freddy`s arrest is a coincidence. JOSSY MANSUR, EDITOR, “DIARIO”:  Well, what it tells me is that, really, these four guys are friends.  They belong to the same group, these party boys that go out and prey on young, unsuspected girls or other kinds of girls also that are out to have a good time, not suspecting what they‘re in for with these predators around.

And they are—they not only appear in photographs together, but I understand that Freddy lives very near to the Joran house.  So, there is a bond between them.  There is a group that they call themselves the pimps, in which all of these participate.

Dana Pretzer Show - February 13, 2008

Dana:  If I was to mention the name Van der Straten.

Beth:  Well he’s corrupt to his core of existence.

Dana:  I think that just absolutely nails it.  I was just sitting here just doodling with a pen and pad of paper just to see what you might write and we wrote just exactly the same thing.

Beth:  He just doesn’t even deserve any more words.

Father of man in Aruba mystery dies
Published: Feb. 11, 2010 at 9:17 PM

ORANJESTAD, Aruba, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Paul van der Sloot, the father of a man questioned in the disappearance of teenager Natalee Holloway on the island of Aruba, has died, officials say. He was 57.

The father of Joran van der Sloot was at the Tierra del Sol estate playing tennis Wednesday when he collapsed and could not be resuscitated by emergency service staff, Expatica reported.

Paul van der Sloot, an Aruba lawyer training to be a judge, had been repeatedly questioned by media about the alleged involvement of his son Joran in the disappearance and presumed slaying of Natalie Holloway in May 2005, the newspaper said.

When Dutch crime reporter Peter R. de Vries spoke to Paul van der Sloot about Joran's possible involvement in the case, he said he thought the father helped cover up parts of the truth.

"My intuition as a researcher told me that Mr. Van der Sloot knew more about it, but wanted to protect his son, which is natural. His attitude struck me as tense, for instance when I referred to Natalee being dead. His response was, 'Who says she's dead? There is no evidence.'"

Peter de Vries said the Holloway case will be harder to solve now that the main suspect's father has died, Radio Netherlands reported.

What makes us think Anita would know if Paulus had an affair with Lorenzo's mother, that resulted in a child. That is not something Paulus would tell her. They are both Dutch Nationals. I haven't a clue if he is or isn't, but there is a rumor on the island, and I don't think Anita's declaration is worth 2 cents. The affair could have happened before the VDS moved to Aruba, and in fact that could be why they moved to Aruba. For that matter, that could be a reason why the Dad committed suicide. However, it is simply a rumor, but a popular rumor on the island, one that we didn't invent, but as a result of it being a rumor on the island, we can't dismiss it. It is a strange rumor to have started if they are only very casually known to each other.

According to Aruban law, a suspect's own words can't be used against him and there's no such thing as perjury. Consequently, a judge needs something to back up van der Sloot's confession. However, right now, there are several reasons the judge doubts van der Sloot's confession:

The accomplice van der Sloot says dumped Natalee's body has come forward and says the story is made up. The phone booth van der Sloot says he used to call the accomplice is actually a credit card only phone for tourists that just connects to the United States. Plus, van der Sloot says he abandoned his shoes the night Natalee died in a drain on his walk home, but Aruba doesn't have street-side drains.

The Aruban Prosecutor's Office says investigators are searching for the needed back up evidence. If they can find it, they are considering charging van der Sloot with:

Aiding and Abetting First Degree Murder, which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment; Injury to Health Causing Death, which carries a sentence of six to nine years; Accidental Death, a sentence of up to nine months; Illegal Disposal of a Corpse, a sentence of up to six months and Not Giving Aid to Someone in Need, which also carries a sentence of up to six months.

If van der Sloot is ever brought to trial and convicted, he would get credit for the time he's already served in jail. Aruba's Prosecutor expects a higher court to answer his appeal to re-arrest van der Sloot by next Tuesday.

Court decides later on the arrest of Joran

The minister of Justice, Rudy Croes has declared Joran van der Sloot, who is suspected of having murdered Natalee Holloway, persona non grata.  Other than for judicial investigation, Joran van der Sloot is no longer welcome on the island.

Justice interrogates Joran

“The cameras were all around his house”, informed district attorney Dop Kruimel.  “He had to take on a lawyer for the contact with us.”

If necessary, the OM will also protect the suspect Joran van der Sloot.  The OM is also of the opinion that yesterday’s words of Justice-minister Rudy Croes were premature.  Croes wants to declare Joran van der Sloot persona non grate.

“The boy is not convicted yet; besides, there are a whole lot of judicial hurdles ahead, before he can be refused admission to Aruba. He is legally admitted anyway”, was the reaction of the OM.

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: ... And considered a persona non grata, at least by one influential person in the government in Aruba, right?

JOSSY MANSUR, MANAGING EDITOR, "DIARIO": Right.

VAN SUSTEREN: What does that mean?

MANSUR: I don't know. He's been declared that, but we don't know exactly what it means. Legally, it's impossible to stop him from coming to Aruba because he's a legal resident here. What it does mean (INAUDIBLE) is that the attitude of people who were standing behind him before has changed, and they all want to see this man leave the island.

I do know what our reporters have been able to find, Lorenzo is a half brother of Joran. He has a boat. He lives in a secluded section of the island, very close to Joran. I don't know if he was questioned, but people mention his name quite often in regard to this case.

Joran and OM talk tomorrow in the Netherlands

According to the local radio station Cool FM and a journalist of the Dutch current affairs column Network[, a half brother of Joran, a Lorenzo van R., does fit the profile.   He does have a boat and his name has already appeared earlier in the Holloway-file.  Peter R. de Vries has confirmed having heard of Lorenzo van R.’s name, but that he didn’t want to use him for his programme.  The Dutch programme Nova and other media have also mentioned other names, especially names of boys that often hang about the ‘surfing circuit’ near the Fisherman’s Hut next to the Marriott. ...

Corruption in Paradise - Dave Holloway

Page 183:
It was a flowchart with all of the suspects and interested parties on it.  He (Art Wood) noticed that one person who we thought was a suspect, Lorenzo van Rijn, rumoured to be Joran’s half brother, was not on it.  We had been told that he might have had some connection to Natalee’s disappearance.  He is supposedly known on the island by the nickname Xtacy.  Art asked him (Dennis Jacobs) where Lorenzo was, and Jacobs said that Lorenzo had nothing to do with Natalee’s case, so he doesn’t have to be on the flow chart.  We left, and Art commented on Jacobs’ reaction.  There is talk in Aruba that Lorenzo is a known drug dealer who lives in a compound on the island with a remote-controlled sliding gate, television monitors, and razor wire all around the top of the fence.  Apparently, you cannot get into that place.  It looks like a prison camp.  Since Lorenzo is suppose to be related to Joran, if the boys got drugs to give Natalee, they may have gotten them from him.

It has been revealed that the Rudy Croes obstructed the Natalee Holloway investigation from the getgo by sitting on information which implied that justice would not be forthcoming.  Not only did the Minister of Justice not challenge Jan vander Straaten's wrongdoing ... he went after the mother of the victim.

SEPTEMBER, 2005

Amigoe, Friday 30 September 2005

According to Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP), there is not much that can be done against Twitty’s attitude. He says that declaring her as persona non grata is no option. The American media would blow that up and it can fire back at us.

She is back in all sorts of programs where she calls upon Americans to avoid Aruba as vacation destination. “I can’t understand her attitude. We did everything possible to find her daughter”, said Croes. He hopes of course that one day the teenager will show up, but he said that badmouthing would definitely not contribute to that.

Many Aruban people are very angry with Twitty and are afraid that her constant appeals against Aruba would have a negative effect on the tourism. Even though this does not reflect in the figures, the government does keep a finger on the pulse. Croes does not consider taking measures against Twitty yet, but does not rule out the possibility TO SHUT HER UP IN THE FUTURE. The Dutch government was asked to diplomatically support Aruba in this matter.

Holloway Cover-up By Aruban Law Enforcement?
Friday, December 05, 2008

VAN SUSTEREN: All right. Well, I'm delighted that the minister of justice is finally doing that. But any clue why he waited three-and-a-half years, when the trail is really cold?

KELLY: Well, it's remarkable. None of this is about Natalee and a missing young women, and you know, parents without child. It's a bunch of ego stuff right now. It's Van der Straaten apparently criticized the police investigators, his own investigators, this week. Rudy Croes in turn then came out and said, “What's Van der Straaten talking about?” He's the one that covered up with Paulus van der Sloot. We have a whole trail of phone calls between Van der Straaten and Van der Sloot in terms of what happened in the days after Natalee's disappearance. Van der Straaten, he went on to say, used his second-rate investigation team to -- to check into Natalee's disappearance initially and just, you know, covered the whole thing up, deliberately hindered the prosecution and investigation into Natalee's disappearance.

(I bolded what I believed are the questions that Jaap was asked, his answers are in regular type...I hope I didn't have any goofs...)

Interview with Jaap 27-04, sometimes has a way of talking / expressing himself that's difficult to translate so consider this a loose translation.

How did you come up with the idea to approach Joran?

Well Joran approached me first. I had a fan Hyves of the Golden Cage…and a buddy of mine who took care of that site told me…you never guess who is a member of you Hyves! I said, who? He said: Joran! I was like; Joran? Yeah right…so I thought…let’s right him an e-mail. And it turned out that Joran is a chess player, just like me….and we started playing online chess. And one thing led to another.

And when did you think; I have to do something with this?

I waited a long time with that…it was in May…in May I won the Golden Cage…and in June I got to ‘know’ Joran a bit because of Hyves and playing online chess. But I only asked him in December.

And why do you want to do something with Joran?

I want to create opportinies for myself. I regret how things went with Talpa, RTL..and I just thought…I’m going to do it myself. I’m keeping the strength with myself…and if the viewer likes it then the success will come automatically.

Okay, but why did you want to do something with Joran?

Of course it would be a really good pitch for myself….that’s no secret…I realised that if I can give a good journalistic report..if something good will come out of this…what will interest the viewer than they will watch my next show sooner.

So you approached Joran…saying you wanted a conversation with him and then a lie detector test. How did he respond to that?

Well, it didn’t go that easily of course. First of all I had to gain Jorans trust for months. I even helped him with a few things. He had huge problems in his private life. Things nothing to do with the Thailand affaire or the Holloway case. And I thought…if I help you (meaning Joran) right now…this was long before the lie detector test occurred….if I help you now…you owe me. You owe me motherfucker. And I played this smartly. Eventually I had him in such a corner he couldn’t really say no anymore. And that’s the beauty of it.

How did you notice you gained his trust?

E-mails, sms texts, conversations, how he treated me, how he looked up to me, what he told me…

And then you came with the crucial question…

Well, at first I had checked a bit if he would feel like to tell everything in a neutral, objective way. I also told Joran…I know how the media works, I know how the press works…I’ve also been through the shit 3 times while I was just playing a game….because let’s be honest…Terror Jaap is a façade…Terror Jaap is an act I used to win the Golden Cage….I won a million Euros with that….and all that crap about the Golden Cage, Terror Jaap, politics interfering…well if you don’t like it…turn off the television! If you don’t like the Golden Cage; turn off your television, you don’t like Terror Jaap…turn of your television. So I told Joran: I understand where you’re coming from. Right now, at this moment…I won’t judge you. In that way a weird kind of understanding cq friendship developed…it grew. And at a certain point he needed my help…he had a rough time…very difficult….and I knew what was going on. He could also show me what was going on. And I knew that if I didn’t help him he would be in a lot of trouble.

What was going on then?

Joran had a huge gambling debt…with someone you don’t want to be in debt with. He needed my help. So I thought…if I ‘invest’ right now…help him then I gain some power over you…you will trust me more…and at a certain point I can ask you…we have to do this. And that’s how it happened. It was a little miracle that Joran was hooked up to this machine (the lie detector). Because at first, I had prepared the complete production…he isn’t coming. He isn’t coming!! So I mail Joran…like what’s this? I’ve made production costs, you say you’re innocent, I’m giving you the platform, I’m in contact with the broadcasters, I’ve got somebody who can contact John de Mol (he is a huge / influential media person), I’ve got contacts at RTL…I can make this work for you and you know I won’t screw you. He knew that. And yet he didn’t came. So I told him…you know what I know about you. You know what I’ve got from you…if you back out and break the arrangements then you leave me not other choice than to make a documentary how you deceived me.

So you kind of blackmailed him?

I think that’s an extreme word…it was more like…how can I say this…he owed me. And he knew that. And he couldn’t really back out. And I also felt I  was justified to put it like that towards him…I mean…I help him, I give him pointers, the media threw shit over me as well, I also had problems with my family when I left the Golden Cage…like that Jaap…what has he done? That Joran has been screwed over by the media as well…of course because his own faults, by telling a lot of lies lots of people think he’s crazy. Well in the end he eventually came. And I could complete it.

What was he like when he arrived here (meaning in the room for the lie detector test)? How did he appear to be….very nervous or?

The footage is good…he’s sitting here…as a little boy who has lost his mother…like that…so in himself, drowsy, dazzled, shaking, sweating… the director people….sitting in the room next door with a television…they were like this is astonishing…what we’re seeing here. Joran at his purest.

What kind of questions did you ask him?

Of course the most important one. Questions concerning the Holloway case. Also questions about the whereabouts of Holloway….and let’s keep it at that this moment….we have to keep something…you understand that…

Well, I would like to know what he answered at the question….did he murder Natalee Holloway?

I want to scream from my lungs how that went and what happened. But let’s be honest..if I do that now…then it’s like: Thank you Jaap..see you. But I’ve got that passion and ambition…creating my own opportunities.

But can you tell us a bit more…on how the test went?

I started very peaceful..wer’re going to do this together, this is a nice project. And I was like..if Joran tells me the truth..it will be news…one way or the other…it’s always news with Joran…so I was like…who knows…it would be too bizarre if it would turn out to be correct what he’s saying. So it started peacefully…but after the first test day we got some results…and then it became less friendly…let me put it that way (smiling…as in: it was way worse). Then we got into a kind of chasing scene…and eventually…

But tell some more about that.

Well Joran was very emotional….I think, I’ve known Joran a bit, he stayed at my place, I’ve watched films with him, drank beers with him…I know Joran…and I think that Joran thought that he could pass it…that’s what I think. I think he had arrogance to reason for himself that he was a master liar and I am different than others.

Even the lie detector…

He thought he would pass it.

But he didn’t pass it?

Jaap doesn’t say anything….and that’s his expression as well…

So we’ll have to wait and see….do you think he regrets it now…afterwards?

Yes, he regrets it very much….he also left Holland immediately. He was very afraid for a civil case procedure…so he took off immediately.

Are you still in contact with him?

At the moment we have a bit of a weird relationship…we’ve talked a lot. Where I told him…listen Joran…I can’t do anything but to lay out the situation as it went. I can’t help you or give in for you because you’ve done it yourself. And he fully realises this….and he regrets it so much that we’re even talking about, after this lie detector show, how can I say this…uhm…Joran is really done with it. He’s done with being stalked, he’s done with the fact his family is angry, he’s done with people being stressed…but Joran is afraid for his future. And I know what Jorans’ fears are….and I know what needs to happen before Joran will turn himself in. And I’m working on that….and that would be too bizarre but…you need to keep an eye on a lot of interests. Because let’s be honest…the Holloway case has been so huge…it went across the world….there are many interests…there is the  Holloway family, Jorans’ family, Joran himself even the viewer…especially that Peter R. de Vries show..they’ve been really passionate about that Joran story.

But you are going to make it happen that Joran will turn himself in?

And don’t forget the Justice department…even the FBI, CIA…even the American president Bush was involved from what I’ve read. The case is so huge…but if you don’t approach Joran objectively..if you don’t give him the trust…we know what’s there, we know what happened Joran and if you want a different life than you will have to show empathy and sympathy to that viewer. That is your only salvation. And it has to, it has to come from yourself….it can’t be a Jaap who will push or pull you....You have to make that decision. This is your moment…and this is your chance. Because you know if you’ll work with an American journalist that you’ll be screwed…they’re waiting on you..they will get you…you know that. You know that if you do something with a Dutch crime reporter..he will screw you, he’ll get you. But I gave you trust…at the moment you almost hanged, I helped you. And he knows that. And even now, even now I am pretty neutral concerning Joran…on one hand I’m like you f***er, you lied to me. But if I hang Joran now…that won’t solve anything….the force field is so strong right now, so intense and before you get through that…that costs months. And I think there’s so much more in it if Joran chooses for the truth…because then he will also choose for himself. That’s the beauty of it.

And you are going to make it happen that Joran will turn himself in?

I hope so. I hope so.

Has he murdered Natalee Holloway?

I won’t comment on that right now.

What kind of guy is it?

Lots of people asked me that…how do I look at Joran…you know Joran…you hung out with him, done a lot with him, he was a fan of mine, he shared things with me…what can I say about it? I think Joran has a dual personality. On one hand..I’m telling you honestly…I think he’s a motherfucker…he lied and deceived me concerning certain things. I’ve got the information and the proof for that. I’m really angry about that. But on the other side…he’s been through a lot, also because of his own behaviour but also because of the press…..the last couple of years…but on the other hand…then I’m watching a film with him, he’s joking around, telling about his girlfriend..telling me what he wants to accomplish in his life…and then I think; you’ve got in you…you’ve got it in you to live a life what’s normal so to speak. You’ve got it in you Joran…I’m working on that with him.

He’s got a girlfriend?

Yes, and he’s happy with her.

Where does she come from?

America.

Oh boy…

I’ve also talked to his girlfriend, I’m also in contact with her. And she wants to stay out of the media at the moment so I’m not going to give her name or where she lives, what she does…but she’s also very happy we’re doing this…and she hopes that Joran will get an impulse to stop with all that crap. Because Joran is a living a very unsteady life right now, he’s got no stability…because of his own behaviour. Because of his own mentality.

But what does he tell you about his girlfriend? Because that’s quite something….I don’t know if I would….ehm….with Joran…

I’ve talked extensively with her about that….she’s like…okay, I’ve met Joran and I find him quite different than on television. And I have to say, on a personal level Joran isn’t a f***er necessarily. He isn’t. Like, Joran is getting a coke from my fridge…he also brings one for me. On a personal level he’s not a monster towards others….but something in Joran wants to solve lies with lies…and when you do that you come into a vicious circle…and everything collapses. And that’s bad character trait of him. And I’m really angry about that…it also hurts me…and we’ll see that in the show of how Joran hurts me….at a certain point we’re crying here as small children. I was like…what I’m I to do with this? I’m also held responsible by Aad Schalke, former police detective, like Jaap…what we’ve got here..how and what concerning the justice department and your responsibility…how are we going to deal with this? And I pay a lot of attention to what he’s saying. And then I think…what am I to do with this? I’d rather be in a situation where everybody’s interests are respected and that we can solve the case then that we get into a situation where a van comes up the door, we throw someone in and bye bye. And lots has to be done to make that happen.

The programme….which channel will broadcast it?

At this moment there are talks and if the editing is completed…then I think that all the crap about me & Terror Jaap doesn’t fit the profile of the channel, Terror Jaap is awful, he was from the Golden Cage…I think that’s forgotten & forgiven very quickly. Like the way I’m talking to you…when did we this before? I couldn’t do that…because I was Terror Jaap. (he acts weird, reporter says: don’t do that…and laughs). If you were in a house with me and I have to get you out for a million Euros then you’re not happy with me….but we’re having a serious interview now….there is no crazyness with this. That is absolutely not the intent. Absolutely not.

Which channel do you prefer if you could choose?

What I really want, and I’ve always said this…I’d really like to…with my old producer from the Golden Cage, my old editor, my friend Huub from the Golden Cage...I’d really want to work on the format together and then get a good show on a channel. I’d want that more than anything. John de Mol has had every chance….I was extremely loyal…and I still am….but if it’s not coming…if it’s not coming…than I’m doing it myself. And  I feel I have the right to do this…(sighs).

What if nobody wants your programme…what then?

I’m really not worried about that…and America is there as well. And I can imagine there is doubt now…like Jaap we know you…well they don’t know me but they’ve seen me on the television….and you’ve been in the papers often…because of your huge body you were the figure head of the Golden Cage…put one face with the Golden Cage…and that’s mine. On one hand I’m disappointed with that…I’m disappointed…like I said about the guys from RTL Boulevard, the presenters of Shownieuws…they don’t know me. They don’t know me. The know me from a game. And I don’t want to salute myself…but if I win a million Euros with my own strategy…did I do a good job then…yes or no? I think so.

And now the serious side of Jaap is coming?

Yes, that’s also a side of me. I’m not going to pretend I’m a saint…no...the sharpness and the humour…..is also a part of me…that is real. But I expanded that in the Golden Cage….and I knew to exit sides of me that would weaken my position. Imagine…I’m in the Golden Cage and I’m dead serious, with morals and values and I think ethically & I philosophize…then they think…ah well Jaap…a regular person. Now they thought…djeez..I’m in a house and that Jaap is totally crazy….I have to watch out for him. Then I’ve accomplished my goal. Then I’m someone who can win in that house. And in the end I won!

If the Dutch channels don’t want your show…then you’ll go to America…are you busy with that yet?

Those talks are also there; also through my management. Look, with America it’s a done deal (as in: no worries if that will work out…not that there is a deal as of yet)…and in Holland it will be okay as well. But if you really say…if…because that’s also the storyline that’s going on…if the channels really don’t want it….then I would consider that a boycott…cause if you look at my price tag..

So it’s low?

Jaap nodds.

America…you say talks are there.

Jaaps nodds.

How are they going…can you tell a bit more?

They’re going through my management….the big channels…and look I need a final edit first….we’re really busy with that….we’re in the pre edit fase…we also have to choose what we want in…the way I look at it now I should make 4 specials of an hour…that’s the amount of material I have…but we have to choose…we have to make decisions…and we’re chosing to make one main edit….one main broadcast. And later on we can return to it…to do something with old footage or something.

Finally…do you believe in the innocence of Joran van der Sloot?

I can tell you that I believe Joran wants to build a different future. And I can also tell you that I believe that Joran is willing to go to extremes to accomplish that. That he really wants to open himself up, that he wants to come forward with evidence, I believe that. That I believe. And to your question…I’m not going to respond to that at the moment.

Thanks GBMW!

I wonder how much Jaap paid Joran van der Sloot for this version of the truth pertaining to the events that encompass the morning of May 30, 2005 ... the morning when Natalee Holloway went missing and was never seen again.

$10,000 was the bait that Greta used to reel in Joran regarding the "sex trade" confession.

Think about it.  When the two "confession" interviews are consider it is a win ... win ... win ... stituation.  Greta (FOX) benefits.  Jaap benefits.

On the Records w/Greta - November 26, 2008

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: Just so you get it right. He contacted us. He said he had a tape.

JOE TACOPINA, ATTORNEY FOR JORAN VAN DER SLOOT:  Yes.

VAN SUSTEREN: I said we couldn't buy it, but we could license it. That's what the media does. You license photos, you license recordings, you license tape.

He gave us the tape. We've had it sent to someone to have it checked out if there were problems with it. I went to Thailand to find out what the story was on the tape to fill in the blanks to corroborate it.

TACOPINA: OK. So whatever I have - I mean, an email from one of your producers, Steph Watts, you know, to Joran, talking about the Western Union transaction. Greta, look --

VAN SUSTEREN: That is how the money is transferred. There's no secret. There's no secret.

TACOPINA: You paid him for a tape that he made and wound up getting an hour interview with him. And so be it, Greta. Great TV, great ratings- -

VAN SUSTEREN: Do you have a problem with that?

TACOPINA: Yes, I do have a problem with it, Greta, because if you offered Joran $10,000 tomorrow and ask him to tell you a fifth story, he would do it.

Clearly, he's a sick kid. Clearly, I have nothing to say in defense of his actions, Greta. OK?

I suspect that this was a win win situation for Greta and Joran also.

Search Resumes For Body Of Natalee Holloway (video)

http://www.keyc.com/node/34038

Hmmm, wonder if they are searching?

A search is again under way in Aruba for the body of Natalee Holloway...A German news agency reports Joran van der Sloot, a suspect in the Holloway case, has confessed to disposing of her body.Holloway has been missing since May 30, 2005. She was on a high school graduation trip to Aruba at the time of her disappearance. Her body has never been found. The statements by the Dutch suspect (van der Sloot) were made in front of cameras, and were similar to a confession he made two years ago to a Dutch crime reporter.

A search!!!  Who is in charge?

The two confessions do not equate.  The Range Rover "confession" claims Natalee was immediately taken out to sea in a boat and dumped overboard ... no meantion of a swamp/marsh/pond ... no mention of a trap/cage.

Natalee Holloway may have been buried in a shallow grave for a short period of time.  She may have been placed in a pond/marsh/swamp for a short period of time.  However ... bottom line ... according to the sonar/ROV operator/analyst on board the Persistence ... Natalee Holloway's remains were ... in all probability ... recovered unchallenged from the ocean floor by the Aruban enemy who has prevented justice from prevailing since May 30, 2005.

The trap/cage should be the focus.  Everything else is a distraction.

IMO

++++++++++

Kyle Kingman - In His Own Words

Kyle Kingman:
For Jan 7th, Eduardo wasn't on the boat, neither were any media, Tim Miller, or Tim Trahan.

Kyle Kingman: The Persistence had no divers on the 7th. Tim Trahan was our diver on the 30th-Dec, but he was out of the country at the time. The Aruban divers were on the police boat, dove from their boat, and returned to their boat.

Kyle Kingman:  Jan 7th we sampled the contents and in my opinion we found the skirt under the sand along with the other items The blue fabric was found right where the skirt is pictured. If it isn't her, it will forever haunt me as a major cosmic WTF.

Kyle Kingman: I get done in the survey room backing up the ROV dive and head to the back deck to talk to the Polis divers and see what they sampled and see the Polis boat way in the distance heading away fast. John doesn't seem concerned at all, but I am very dissapointed, concerned, and burning inside because I have a feeling that I/we will never know what they took from the trap. That evening I talked to John asking when we plan on recovering the trap. Previously this was part of the talks and plan, but this time he doesn't seem concerned about ever looking into the trap further. After John verbally BASHED me about the trap for what I said to Tim Miller about the sand body-form and that I believed her skirt was under the sand, John pretty much committed himself to the belief the trap wasn't what we were after. This shocked me because it was exactly what we were looking for- a fish trap lost at sea with human remains.

Kyle Kingman:  Richardson told us after the Jan-7th dive to keep searching in deep water. John told me then he didn't want to hear me ever mention the trap again. Of course this didn't set well with me.

Kyle Kingman:  John is not a believer in the trap. He took ALE's word as gospel that it wasn't case related, yet never studied the videos or bothered to inquire further. He had plans on doing business with Aruba and in S. America and he didn't want to hurt any feelings by talks hinting at lack of complete trust and friendship. I did not feel the same and we had a major difference in opinion. He was the one who never pressed ALE to be completely open with us with the trap evidence. I would have forced them to. However, John was the one paying my invoices so I was forced to sit back and hope for the best.

Natalee Holloway dumped in swamp "

A Saliña behind the Marriott hotel. The most recent confession of Joran van der Sloot, Natalee Holloway, he has a Saliña North dumped.

ORANGE CITY - Joran van der Sloot Natalee Holloway has them sinking into a swamp. Known that the main suspect in the disappearance case in at least one interview with Jaap Amesz, better known as Terror Jaap Gouden Kooi-winner.

by our reporter
Alex Lacle

The interview was recorded in mid last year. The Public Prosecutor (OM) in Aruba says since August 2009 to be aware of this "confession" of Van der Sloot. According to Chief Peter Blanken RTL television was now possible to broadcast the interview. The main accused, in the interview "to cleanse his conscience 'and' finally to speak the truth".

The Volkskrant reports that later this week a new interview with Van der Sloot planned. The makers hope that the possible suspect by the death of his father's card and will play more details to tell. Van der Sloot was recently in the Netherlands for the funeral of his father. Paul van der Sloot died on February 10 with a cardiac arrest during a game of tennis at Tierra del Sol. The lawyer was cremated last week in Arnhem.

No new facts
Van der Sloot claims in his most recent admission that the body was dumped into the sea never Holloway, as he had stated during hidden camera recordings of crime journalist Peter R. de Vries. The body of American teenager would, the statement hidden in a Salina. "At that time extensive research has been done here," said OM spokesperson Angela Ann. "A specialist team from the Netherlands in September 2009 with the Aruban police made physical trace evidence." The study, approximately 1.5 weeks took, brought no new facts to light.

Hopeless
Strongly committed to the OM or no more in the statements of the main suspect. "During the investigation it was clear that this statement is wrong on several points. If he really wanted to tell the truth, he said the exact spot, "said Chief whites. The spot where Van der Sloot Natalee Holloway has its own words dumped, was part of the study also examined already. It suggests that the Whites 'swamp' where Joran speaks, too large to meticulously examine in its entirety. He could not go because the location specified on a Saliña North. "With an aggressive climate on Aruba is like after such a long time little more of a body on. Without an exact location of Van der Sloot was hopeless, the chief said. "It's less than finding a needle in a haystack."

The reason the story about the confession only now emerges, is probably the fact that Dutch TV-makers initially had no interest in the program. In April 2009 images were released of the interview is to see that Van der Sloot is the lie detector. Maker within the time expected the program to one months, and one TV channel to sell. Despite the apparent lack of interest in the program is once again the world's press on the story plunge. Angela Ann spokesman told this newspaper that she last night three hours at night by U.S. media is called out of bed.

Since the disappearance of Holloway, in May 2005, there have been several searches. One of the most recent search was that of the American Fred Golba. In March 2009 was Golba, specializing in finding bodies, along with his dog by Rhino father Dave Holloway hired. He then searched in vain in the vicinity of the dam Monserat, also known as Real Tanki.

ANOTHER CONFESSION??

A mangrove swamp in the area of the hotel was drained on June 14, 2005.  The van der Sloot property was search on June 15, 2005.  If there had been any case related evidence ... in all probability ... it had been destroyed/moved in that two week period.

In his Suspect statement ... Joran places himself at the Racquet Ball Club as well as the Mariott Beach on the evening of May 30, 2005.

USA TODAY - June 15, 2005

Aruban authorities spent several hours Wednesday searching the house of the Dutch youth in the upscale Noord neighborhood. They carried away items in paper bags and cardboard boxes and towed away a blue sport-utility vehicle and a red Jeep.

The search came a day after police combed a mangrove swamp near Holloway's hotel. Police suspended that search after pumping water from a drainage pond.

Joran van der Sloot - June 14, 2005 - Suspect Statement

At approximately 19.15 pm I left on foot for the Wyndham Hotel. I was alone. My tennis gear I had left behind the bar at the Raquet club. I had also removed my tennis shoes and left them in the bag behind. I had taken from my tennis bag a pair of slippers and walked away on those. From the clubhouse I walked in the direction of Salinja to the Marriot Hotel. I walked along the same route that Deepak had taken to drop off me and Natalee. At the beach of the Marriot I tried for a little while to find my shoes. They were nowhere to be found. I looked for about two minutes. Then I walked over the beach to the Wyndham Hotel. On the way there I saw a lot of people. I did not go to Fisherman's Hut to see if Natalee was still lying there. I at that moment was more worried about the shoes that I had left behind because I was unaware that Natalee had gone missing.

Dutch TV to air new story in Holloway case
The Associated Press
Friday, February 26, 2010; 5:22 AM

AMSTERDAM -- A Dutch television station is airing an interview with the man once suspected of involvement in the disappearance of U.S. teenager Natalee Holloway, in which he again claims to have disposed of her body.

Joran van der Sloot's latest confession to be broadcast by RTL Nieuws Friday doesn't fit with known facts about the Holloway case. Van der Sloot, 22, was last seen with Holloway before her disappearance while on vacation in Aruba in 2005.

He claims in the paid interview that Holloway accidentally fell from a balcony and he disposed of her body in a swamp.

He previously told an undercover reporter that she died unexpectedly while they were kissing and he dumped her body in the ocean.

Aruban prosecutors say they lack evidence to charge Van der Sloot.

Holloway fell over balcony, says Van der Sloot
Friday 26 February 2010

American teenager Natalee Holloway was killed after falling off a balcony at a friend's home after drinking whisky and taking cocaine, main suspect Joran van der Sloot is reported as saying in a German tv interview.

The Telegraaf, which has seen the 2.5 hour interview, says an emotional Van der Sloot made the confession in a hotel room in Dusseldorf.

Former police chief Gerard Dompig, who was involved in the initial investigation into Holloway's disappearance on the Caribbean island of Aruba in May 2005, says he believes the claim is worth further investigation.

Van der Sloot's new story fits with the time line and is very specific on the details, he told the Telegraaf.

Aruban officials have already dismissed the new statement as 'fantasy and lies'.

Whisky

In the statement, Van der Sloot says he, Natalee and another friend went to the friend's house where they took cocaine and drunk whisky.

Natalee climbed on to the edge of the balcony, he said. 'I think she was really drunk, so she started doing a sort of half strip tease, like she did on stage at Carls & Charlies,' he said.

'I walked to her to dance with her a bit, and I held her hips and when I let go she fell over the balcony.'

When the two ran down stairs, they found Natalee on the ground with a lot of blood. 'I think she hit the ground with her head first,' he is quoted as saying.

The two young men then put the body in a car and hid it in a swamp where he lost a shoe, he claims.

Alibi

The other youth has been given an alibi by his mother, the Telegraaf reports.

The new confession will be broadcast on RTL5 on Sunday night.

In 2008, Dutch tv crime journalist Peter R. de Vries claimed he had solved the mystery surrounding the girl's disappearance using a plant and a hidden camera.

During the programme, Van der Sloot told the plant, who was working for De Vries, that the girl was completely drunk and died while they were on the beach. Her body, he said, was dumped at sea.
