Hmmmm...good question, Today.  Would it matter if Lee were involved in drugs, porn or something else of an illegal or immoral nature?  Not sure.  I suppose it would affect his credibility as a witness.  It could be leverage for the cops...cooperate with us about the Caylee case or you will go to jail.  Unless he was using Casey and/or Caylee in those businesses, I doubt it would impact the case too much, but I am not a lawyer. 

Miz Jay wrote about the way the Anthonys don't just come out and say things.  Casey is not the only one who talks in circles.  I think Cindy gets some enjoyment out of having people guess what she is doing or thinking.  But there seems to be a kind of paranoia in the family, too.  They have always, it seems, circled the wagons if "outsiders" came on the scene, even before this happened.  Nobody was really welcome in the family, not even Jesse Grund who seemed to love both Casey and Caylee so much, not even the natural father of Caylee, (we do not know that he wants to be uninvolved in her life, that is just what Cindy says), nobody lasts for long if they get through the door.

They seem to be imagining that people will steal Caylee's remains, etc., which seems pretty unlikely.

oldiebutgoodie...thank-you for that perspective, I love reading everyones input, I'm just lost in trying to figure out what happened, I keep going back and forth with different scenarios, there wasn't any visible signs of abuse, but there could have been sexual abuse. I think we may never find out what all happened.

I think that Lee acted just plain weird in his speech at the memorial.  How can he possibly think that was normal?  There is something very very strange going on in that family. JMO

Oldie, you have hit on the biggest problem with Cindy...at least, for me.  Cindy told several people that she considered getting custody of Caylee and even said that to Casey on one of the 911 calls.

Why?  It is not easy to get custody of someone else's child, even if you are the grandparent and support the child?  Removing custody from a mother is a very serious thing.  It would take PROOF of severe neglect and/or abuse.

Yet Cindy says now that Casey was a good and loving mother and Caylee certainly was not underfed and had no obvious signs of any type of abuse.

You cannot get custody of a grandchild because the mom is unemployed or likes to party unless those things result in suffering for the child.

So Cindy is lying somewhere.  Was she lying about wanting custody or thinking Casey was an unfit mother?  Or is she lyhing when she says Casey was a good mother?

Why would she try to take a child away from the mother without a good reason?  Did she just want Caylee for herself?  Did she not approve of Casey being so social and going out so much?  Or did she think that Casey was truly unfit and Caylee was in some kind of danger?

If she threatened to take the child away from Casey out of spite or jealousy or selfishness or just the desire to be Caylee's mother, she might have pushed Casey over the edge.

If she is hiding info about Casey being unstable or neglectful or abusive to Casey, that is also a terrible thing to do. 

What is the truth, Cindy?  That is what I would like to know./b]

Last night, as I was watching a rerun of the service, I thought Cindy's brother sitting next to mother Shirley looked familiar. I must tell you after many late night phone calls and internet hunting, my suspicions were confirmed. I know Cindys brother Gary pretty well, after having worked with him down here in Florida for 9 years.. I can only tell you things I am certain of..
1 He is a GREAT nurse, well liked and respected
2 He is NOTHING like her
3 He NEVER spoke of his family...
I am so sad for him to be related to this whole zoo crew

With the new report of a 5 yr old missing in Florida, bring to mind about the little boy that has been missing.

I have not heard any updates on...ADJI(SP) sorry, if I have not gotten his name correct, but I do believe one of the posters here were involved in the search.

My thoughts is that either he wandered, maybe playing a game, and possibly fell into a well, or a deep hole and was unable to get out.  Or....possibly hid inside an old refrigerator or freezer.  Children have been knows to suffocate in these old appliances.

Anyhow, would appreciate either a link or an update on Adji. Thanks,

I don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but why is it going to take more than a year to be ready for this trial? What takes so long, what do they have to do that takes so much time? Can some legal smart monkey enlighten me? Are they still conducting any kind of investigations, or do they have all the info they need? Is it the prosecution that is taking so long, or is this just the standard amount of time to wait for a trial to start? Not that long ago, they were talking about this starting in Jan 09, what happened with that?

It makes me wonder why we've never heard one person out side of the immediate family come forward and speak for the A's. Not the in-laws, or any of KC's aunts or uncles, not even a cousin. Not one of them has stepped forward to speak on their behalf. The closest to any of them saying anything is the brother Rick, and that wasn't even through any media outlet. I've always wondered about this.

 The whole truth about this would be the million dollar scoop.
 I also believe that abuse would have been difficult to prove and neglect wasn't the visible type. Caylee was healthy and appeared to be emotionally sound.
All of those things make me stick with the power struggle over who really was the baby's mama. Technically KC was, but for all intents and purposes CA was. All the lies KC was telling and the thefts becoming more blatant and closer to home probably were the burner under the pot, then KC's increasing partying, sleeping around with Caylee in tow, stoked the fire. Somewhere along here KC hooks up with the Tony crowd who openly voices that it's not good for Caylee to be there, whereas the old crowd seemed okay with it, pictures show Caylee at some of the apts. and get togethers.

Now is when I think the idea starts perculating in KC's head to kill her parents, set up shop in the home, start fresh, but before she can pull that off, the chit hits the fan, CA gives her some ultimatum, she huffs out, Caylee starts crying to go home. What happens here is any number of things but the end result was that her child was dead.

All of this is nothing new but I would hope that IF Caylee was being abused that CA would've stepped in but your previous post points out that often family doesn't step up so,  it's back to speculation. If they won't tell the truth everybody will forever throw out possibilities.

Well I finally was able to choke my way through the memorial.
While there were parts that were beautiful and truly did honor Caylee, the Anthonys make me sick.
What was that ? Poor Casey...over and over... have they forgotten that Casey is the one who pretty much forgot to tell anyone that Caylee was missing for what...a month? That all tings point to her as the one who took precious Caylee from them ?????
Ohhh... I am so angry again !!!
I know you all hashed this over and over yesterday. I am just so filled with emotion, and I cant seem to get it all out into the right words.
Seeing them coddle that lying deceitful Casey just makes me more and more mad.
I miss my Heather..she was ripped from us, as Caylee was torn from them...I just can not comprehend how they can protect her killer !!

I thought it was weird how Lee had his laptop with him. I am sure they have a printer and he really didn't need to make many notes. I don't know if it is confirmed  that JB was with Casey at the time but with his laptop but I just suspect especially how defiant Lee acted that Casey was watching and that is why she didn't have to ask for permission. I noticed when he first said he would keep his promise that if you look at Cindy she smiles and has a look of relief.

Also noticed in last part of the A"s on stage that Mallory is hugging the man that was by George earlier and she has on about as many gold bracelets as Cindy. George mentioned Caylee pendant I believe so do you think Lee was kissing an urn bracelet? They do have them for men and they are chainlink with a little vessel which looks like part of the design.

HI MONKEYS!  Jumping out of lurkdome to ask 3 simple and somewhat irrelevant questions:

1. Mallory- I didn't watch the memorial service yet I've seen mention that she was there.  Any truth to the rumors that she's preggers?
2. Lee- I skipped ahead a bunch but I thought someone mentioned that he had a tattoo, could that be what he was kissing at the service?
3. Any word on documents coming tomorrow?
