I know this is kind of gross, but do you think the authorities look to the skies in cases like this, areas where vultures may be circling?  I don't know if vultures have to see a body or just smell it, as I'm sure as in Caylee's case, it was under tree coverage and in a bag.

okay talking about these SO's here is what Chad did....finally, I've been searching all day for this.

On Sep. 3, 2002, Reynolds broke into a doublewide mobile home in Interlachen, which is west of Palatka. He was 19. He had a small pocketknife and it was late at night.\

He stole cash. He also used the knife to cut away a section of the shorts and underwear of an 11-year-old girl and then touched her private area, the records showed. He was sentenced to serve seven years in prison (with credit for time served in jail awaiting resolution of his case) and 10 years of special probation for sex offenders

http://www.gainesville.com/article/20090216/ARTICLES/902160908/1002/NEWS01?Title=More_information_about_the_missing_Marion_County_sex_offender_

So yeah, a perp could of broke into a trailer and taken her maybe not him, but he proves it can be done.

Thank you

OS

I agree it can be done, but why is LE eporting NO forced entry if the door was locked?

O/T doc dump went to defense today in Caylee's case, supposed to show fingerprint on duct tape

I would guess witnesses (misty & ronald) stating that door was last known to be locked, than found open with child gone and no physical evident damage to said door qualifies as no forced entry.   I think they are carefully wording it this way so as not to discount what Misty & Ronald are saying.  But at the same time taking note of the fact that the door does not appear to be tampered with to their (LE's) knowledge?  A CYA measure?

OT  woohoo doc dump!  Casey is sooo toast!  But I can't wait to read all about it!

Actually in one of RC's interviews he tells a different story and said it was forced entry But, it is obvious to LE that the door wasn't tampered with due to their reports and the initial incident report.

IMO SO's should get ONE stike and there out, period. No probation, parole ......but, I'd prefer the DP frankly.

From TES website:

02/16/09  It’s a quiet morning here at the command center, and the crowds are gone.  Law enforcement and Texas EquuSearch have announced that the massive search effort for Haleigh Cummings has been suspended.  We are currently loading up to head home for Texas.

We are leaving with tears in our eyes and pain in our heart, for we have not found Haleigh yet.  However, we are also leaving with many new friends and much hope…for we have met a lot of new people and seen the best that people have to offer.  This search effort has brought out the best in mankind.  When tragedy struck this small community of Satsumah, the residents responded.  Our members and volunteers have been treated with the utmost care and respect and we are so very grateful.

All for the love of a child, strangers and neighbors alike have come together in a massive labor of love.  Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to each and every one of you who participated in every way in this effort.

Continue to keep Haleigh and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Fresh Tip Prompts New Search For Haleigh
Sheriff To Familiy: 'Do Not Give Up Hope'

POSTED: Monday, February 16, 2009
UPDATED: 8:06 pm EST February 16, 2009

An Amber Alert was issued
Tuesday morning for
5-year-old Haleigh Cummings
 VIDEO:
Volunteers 'Heartsick' They Didn't Find Haleigh
Haleigh's 2 Families Pray After 5th Day Of Search
UNCUT 911 Calls

PALATKA, Fla. -- Nearly one week after 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings disappeared from her bedroom, local, state and federal authorities have sent volunteer search-and-rescue teams home but said they will continue "tactical searches" in response to new leads.

Almost from the beginning, authorities treated Hayleigh's disappearance as an abduction.

Late Monday, Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy urged everyone involved not to give up hope that the girl will be found alive.

"We're asking the family: Do not give up hope. We have hope that we're going to find Haleigh, and we hope to bring her home alive," Hardy said, his voice cracking. "As I explained it to them with my staff -- we've not abandoned the search. Depending on the urgency of the tip, we have resources ready to deploy."

Sunday, after a six-day search of a 5-mile are around the Satsuma mobile home where Haleigh disappeared at times involving hundreds people, officials suspended general search operations.

But a tip that came in Monday morning prompted about 60 officers to search for hours in a field near Pomona Park -- about 10 miles south of Satsuma. They left without finding anything significant.

Haleigh's family, which expressed support for the decision to scale back the daily searches on Sunday, was openly critical Monday that not enough was being done.

"I asked that we get permission for horses to still be out here to look," Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, said Monday. Its not time to give up its still time. My daughter is still out there, and we want her home."

Volunteers search a five-mile radius around the mobile home where Haleigh Cummings disappeared early Tuesday morning.

Crystal Sheffield, Haliegh's mother, also hoped search efforts will continue.

"I feel like they should stay expand the search," Sheffield said. "They need to search other areas, but I do think they should stay."

Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent Dominic Pape confirmed that efforts to find Haleigh have not diminished, just entered a new phase.

"We will continue searching until she is recovered," Pape said. "We will search any place in this county and outside this country if we get a valid lead that says we need to be there."

Authorities said they have received more than 500 tips over the past several days, which is one of the reasons the command center was moved from a trailer in Satsuma to county offices in Palatka, where investigators had access to more resources.

Hardy said Haleigh's mother, father, his girlfriend and extended family members were being interviewed again, even though he has praised them for cooperating over the past week.

"We don't have all our questions answered and, obviously, we don't have Haleigh," Hardy said. "We'll interview people as many times as we feel necessary."

 SLIDESHOW:
Search For Haleigh Cummings

Channel 4's Laura Mazzeo and Diane Cho report a large number of federal agents and local police at the Cummings' mobile home late Monday afternoon, but no one would discuss what information prompted the response.

Search-And-Rescue Team Leaves Disappointed

After three days of searching the area on horseback and all-terrain vehicles and using high-tech equipment, the volunteer search-and-rescue team Texas Equusearch was preparing to leave Satsuma.

"The hardest thing about our organization is for every person involved to put this kind of effort into it and walk away empty-handed," Equuasearch founder Tim Miller said Sunday night. "It's heart-breaking, it truly is. But you what? When you look at the whole picture, we did everything right. Our hearts were here, our compassion was here, we was focused on what we was doing -- she just isn't here."

Authorities ask anyone with any information to call Crimes Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS or the FDLE's Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 888-FL-MISSING.

The evidence of Casey's fingerprints on the duct tape is one thing, but if Caylee's fingerprints are on the tape, and her tongue has made an impression on the tape, Caylee suffered and explain then how this could have been an accident and Casey panicked? With talk about the death penalty being potentially put back on the table, I would think evidence of Caylee suffering must be there.

Now it's time for LE to haul butts into the interrogation room and get some real answers!!  Everyone needs to sit in the hot seat in this case.  I still want to believe the dad(Ronald) just something about him....but I've been wrong before.  I'd like to see anyone and everyone that was in that house that day questioned.  I mean the AC guy was there when the BIL and friend were there, so they should all have something to say in regards to this and if any of them saw Haleigh and how she was doing at that time.  And Misty especially should be questioned again and again until a valid timeline comes up.

Now I need to pop in to the CA site and see what's goin on over there!!

IMO, Misty (the girlfriend) just sounded on the 911 call as if she didn't want to give out information. It sounded like her mental wheels were turning, calculating. Someone in a panic state is more like the Dad, screaming and yelling and beyond much coherent thought, much less calculting "how much should I say" even as she's saying it.

Cummings said he believes he and Croslin passed the tests.  Croslin has been in the spotlight as she was the last person to see Haleigh. "I don't care what people are saying about me because I didn't do it," she told Jacksonville.com.

I agree, she is scared, she is terrified, of Rondald and of the situation.  She is just a child herself!  I have my if's about her, but I still can not pin point if its intuition or if its her lack of maturity and ability to focus.  She is very scattered, which could be the result of drugs at a young age...I do not know as I am not her, but her inconsistancies do bother me, but again it can be age, drug abuse, illness.......I don't know what to think with these people.

1+1 is not equalling 2...but something tells me that is for other reasons unrelated to Haleighs disapearance.

I also noticed on their (Ronald & Misty) interview w/Greta when they are talking about the lie detector results, Misty says "I'm not supposed to discuss this with anyone"  they both over ride her.  She seems to have been rode over her whole life.  Never taught that she might actually have a brain in her head(if she does).   I guess docile and subserviant with no self worth(unsure of herself) is what I'm trying to say?  Maybe not physical abuse, but clearly a victim of repeat mental abuse.

NRCG u got me excited w/all your talk of fingerprints and duct tape...Stop it!!!  JJ Ha! Ha!
