Good afternoon all.  Just a thought on the back screen door.  Most have strong springs that retract the door. If you intended on kidnapping a specific child and felt the door spring close hard.  You would use what they were using to keep the door open. Like a brick. To me, who ever took the child through that door wouldn't want the screen door to help awaken the child.

Just want to add a couple of things about the 17 year old gf:

This is an unimaginable level of responsibility for a 17 year old girl.  Though the father probably didn't think of his girlfriend as a kid, she is still a kid.  And taking care of a couple of little ones from 3 in the afternoon until 3 in the morning . . . . . what a lonely life for a teenager.  Makes me wonder if drugs or alcohol is involved, which would explain exceptionally heavy sleeping.  Or . . . if is possible that she was having company or going out herself in the night . . .
Just speculation, of course.

Yes - ALIVE !!!!!!!!!   Maybe there is 4pm newscasts in Florida?  They are setting up, but not hearing anything on national news, so probably just local news.

I was laying in bed thinking this very same thing last night.  They propped it open knowing that they'd be carrying a 5 year old child and it would be hard to open it while holding her.  For that reason, the door propping makes sense if that tidbit is, in fact, true.
