I noticed that too, and wondered if that might be part of the reason why he had custody.

I agree that he does have a very questionable past.  The drug incidents though are from nearly 6 years ago, not saying that he has completely changed, but I do believe that people can.  If he is a crane operator there is no way he is working LEGALY while under the influence.  Those that operate heavy machinery are drug tested often, now what types of drug testing is done (blood or urine) I am not sure of as it depends on the employer and circustances that OSHA puts them under.

I am getting the weird vibes from the girlfriend, but it could just be her lack of maturity showing through on camera, she is just a baby herself.  (Now that is questionable!)

I'm not saying the dad had anything to do with this, just looks like he has issues, even now he seems to have anger issues and seems to be controlling IMO. Also, my dad works for a major steel company and they use cranes to move the steel~while they are randomly drug tested, they have been using something (maybe niacin, can't remember offhand) to throw off the test. They actually witnessed one of their crane operators smoking pot at the mill and he was fired on the spot.

The gf is where my suspicions are, especially after I heard she had company and her inconsisitent stories. Both look like druggies to me, mainly because they remind me of my brother and I see alot of the same mannerisms, attitudes, and odd behavoir in both of them. It's really sad because it seems all involved including bio mom act odd, almost disconnected.

i totally agree with you islandmonkey. also, & this is just my opinion, since the gf is just a baby herself, i wonder about jealousy. i know when i married my husband, i had moments of jealousy. (never enough to harm him) but my stepson resented me alot because we had custoded.(sp?) he wanted to be with his mom of course. i don't want to ramble but it just bugs me about the age of gf & child. i hope noone takes this the wrong way, i just mean that sometimes their are jealousy issues. i was alot older than the girlfriend but only 15 years older than my stepson. jmo.

Not sure if it is confirmed that Ron was at work his entire shift or not but early on LE in a presser mentioned that the father was indeed at work.   By that I would think they confirmed that rather immediately.

To my knowledge the only mention of bedwetting was by Misty for that evening, and I watched one of the grandmother's state that Haleigh had not wet the bed in over 2 years in her care.   At this point, yes, I do think people heard that and ran with it...I skimmed several links for Turners Syndrome & there was no direct symptom listed as bedwetting but a few sites indicated kidney/urinary abnormalities at approx 30% in patients

Exactly!  Where are Misty's parents?  What parent would ever let their 17 year old daughter (16 when they first started dating) live with, or even date a 25 year old with three kids??!  This is so very wrong, and disturbing. 

And a daughter not having graduated, nor working on her GED either.  Meaning she dropped out of school at some point.  Perhaps this and what you've mentioned is more of a case of her doing exactly what she wants to do and when, rather than her parents 'letting' her?  Still and all tho, one would think her parents would have tried to intervene, and perhaps they did at some point. 

As to his parents.. As the mom of three young adult sons in their 20s (24, 26, 28), I'd be bopping them upside the head if any of em tried having a gf so very young.  I'm curious if his parents tried to intervene with his choice of a live-in gf, especially considering that he had full custody of his two kids. 
 
We may learn more about each set of parents and what they did or didn't do, or tried to do, as time goes on.

Good find on that, open-mind!  I looked at the report and never noticed it said that.  But I did read also, somewhere, that the bio mom is 23.  Very observant of you, though. 

I have the same feeling as many of you other monkeys.  Something just doesn't seem right with the gf and her story - I mean stories.  Or the father seeming so angry and possibly abusive.  Then the bio mom ...seems innocent, but if she was upset that dad got the kids, could she have arranged for someone to take Haleigh from dad?
Then there are all of those SOs around - one last seen kind of near, but now unaccounted for...
So sad.  Please let Haleigh be ok and come home!!!

From the notes I have been keeping on Misty Croslin:
- She is originally from Michigan. She has lived in Florida for about seven years. Croslin has lived in various parts of the state, including Daytona, where she lived with her brother.
- She has lived in Putnam County off and on for about a year. Her parents live there. She said she prefers city life.
- Croslin has been dating Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, for about five months. She lives with him.

I watched it full screen and I don't see anger there, myself. Looked like she was smiling or squinting in the sun to me. That was taken on 2-12-09, I believe (Thursday.)

Is George still there? I haven't heard what he has done since then. He did mention a website that he told people was up for Haleigh via kidfinders that day in a video I watched, but the website was not up.

Disturbing but sexual consent is 16 in Florida, but where are her parents that a minor child is living with an adult man - for most parents this is a O HELL TO THE NO!

In some places here in Fla. the parents OH HELL TO THE NO translates into , yeah,whatever to the LE... Basically, at a certain age LE will not even step in to stop a 17 year old girl from making the biggest mistake of her life by hooking up and moving in with an adult man with child/children from the last girl that got mixed up with him... umm yes, I am bitter from my situation such as that... speaking of,my now 18 year old and her dead beat dad bf just showed up and they are fighting...feel the love on valentines day.. I shall return...

Ack, Searching, I'm so sorry you are in that situation.  Sometimes I wish we as parents could go back to the olden thing of pre-arranged marriages for our kids.  Cuz I could sure have chosen better for my sons at times.  lol  And to be honest, not sure any girl will be 'good enough' for my youngest 98% 'perfect' son.     (okies, I'm working on that bad attitude.. heh)  Oh how I wish tho that our kids wouldn't even think of getting hooked up with anyone until they are about 35 yrs. old.
