So maybe the footprint trail was Misty's?  She leaves the side door open so neighbors can't see her leave and goes off to visit whoever and in comes the SO and takes Haleigh?  Maybe the SO is the one who propped the door open, she probably closed it all up, lights out and off to drink/drug and comes back to to Haleigh gone right before Ron gets home from work.

ITA. I've got two other questions after watching NG.

1) Why was paternal grandma SO insistent that Ronald had been on the night shift only a very short time? The docs I read today were from late 2005, and he was certainly working a similar shift then.

2) What's up with the kitchen lights supposedly being on when Misty supposedly got up? Has it even been established whether she got up to use the bathroom or to get a drink of water? This shifts around every 15 minutes.

While she blamed the media for making it sound like Misty gave contradicting stories as to who was sleeping where, and also defended Misty for calling Haleigh her daughter on the 911 call, saying that Misty loved the children as if they were her own  ... she also stated that she sent a family member (the cousin Misty mentioned had been over about 5pm) to check on the children.

So something about Misty made her uneasy enough to want them to be checked on, which you wouldn't do if you were completely comfortable with whoever was keeping the children.  Unless of course you're just a nosy grandma like me.

trying to catch up on all the news and threads...so sorry if this has been said, but maybe Misty left the back door open when she left the house so that she would have a way back into the house, assuming that she didn't have a key? would not be able to detect the door being open from the road? she is the one who put the cinder block there to hold the door open?

watched Nancy Grace...the only person that Nancy is totally respectful is Mark Klaas...He wouldn't take her being rude to him...she never interrupts him or belittles him like she does some of her other guests...Mark is usually right on with what he has to say...I have immense respect for him...bless his heart...

I do not like Murt he inserts himself where he doesn't belong to give his " followers" something to watch...who hasn't been in his van? That said the person who egged him on in this chat has been harassing him for a long time. Posting youtube videos of his prank calls and other juvenile antics. Yes Murt should have never given in to this guys BS and said all that sick disgusting crap that was wrong, but I really think he did it put of frustration. Monoxide has secret threads and lots of losers lulzing people talking about gaping anus's etc... its really disgusting. They delight in pulling these pranks on Murt. But Murt is not the only one this group has pulled pranks on. I had to change my phone number because of harassing calls in the middle of the night with some horrid chit being said. She did sound defensive as to the late night shift.  And after she said he'd only been on night shift a short time, she then said it had been about a month ...  which to me isn't a short time. 

It's one thing for a 17 year old to babysit now and again, completely another thing to have responsibility much of the time for two children not her own, one who is quite ill a whole lot of the time. Maybe she didn't help out with the children as much as she could have and is feeling guilty ?  I think people start blaming themselves when something like this happens.

I just watched JVM Issues show- she mentioned twice that Police had a tip that Misty was not at home when Haleigh disappeared. More than likely left the kids after they were asleep then came home to find her missing.

That is precisely one of the reasons why LE doesn't like rumors/leaks.  They may have to deal w/another crime if that boy Ronald takes takes rumors at face value.
