alright I'm done chasing links...makes my head hurt and I feel like a thief.  Not really(thief part)!  But man the family tree is crazy and who knows if any of these cousins have anything to do with this.  The truth lies with Misty and Ronald and whoever took Haleigh and whatever happened that nite.

I can't believe there are no fingerprints anywhere...did they even check?  What about the gun, if the cousin stole it, it should have prints than they could atleast put him in the area.  It's all so hush hush, I almost wonder if LE knows who has her it's just a matter of where and they are letting the rumors drive us crazy to distract the real SO so he will keep her alive till they track him down.  I think if an SO has her and has already done damage and knows they are on to him, he will feel a real need to do worse, so maybe they are trying to throw us all off while they narrow in on the SOB!  I will keep that hopefull thought in my head for now.

Klaas -- On page 89 Wyks posted a who's who in this case and I wondered whether we could have a seperate thread for that and add to it so that we can keep all the people straight?  There seem to be sooo many players or potential players.

I already did that Pooky

Here is the exchange last night between Mike Brooks (former FBI) and NG that we were discussing in the Caylee thread:

GRACE: Well, why would you think he`s talking to the girlfriend? Because my interpretation of that call was he was PO`d at the 911 operator, and I don`t blame him. They`re screaming, my daughter`s gone, my daughter`s gone, and they`re going, what`s her DOB?

BROOKS: Right. Now -- but -- exactly, but -- that`s OK, but they`ve got cars on the way. That`s the way they do, they can type it in while cars are going. In fact, from the dispatcher, it was -- the call was received at 3:27, dispatched at 3:28.

GRACE: You know, Brooks, Brooks, save it. I`ve been in the dispatch office. I`ve seen.

BROOKS: Did you see the police report, too, Nancy?

GRACE: Yes.

BROOKS: When he called his girlfriend?

GRACE: Yes. And? And?

BROOKS: OK. Well, there has got to be some reason why he was calling -- when he told the police "my dumb `B` girlfriend," and he called her that on the dispatch tapes. There was something else going on there, Nancy, I guarantee it.

GRACE: I hate to shatter your illusions, but that type of language amongst live-ins, married people, boyfriend-girlfriend, is not all that unusual, especially in a pressurized situation, right?

BROOKS: Oh, OK. I don`t know what -- no, whatever you say. You must have experience, because apparently, I don`t.

I still think Brooks was pizzed at NG - and I tend to agree with him that there is way more going on in this home than we know.

If it is a SO, I don't think it's related, I think random, I know it's highly unlikely, but w/all the chaos in this house for everyone to see, it could just be one nearby who saw an opportunity and took it.

Girlfriend of Haleigh’s dad asserts: ‘I was home’
But Misty Croslin won’t rule out unidentified relative in girl’s disappearance
 Video

Girlfriend of Haleigh’s dad sticks to story
Feb. 20: TODAY’s Matt Lauer talks to the grandmother of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings, Teresa Neves, and Haleigh’s father’s girlfriend, Misty Croslin, about the search for the little girl.
Today show

updated 2 hours, 38 minutes ago
The young woman who was caring for a missing 5-year-old Florida girl continued to maintain she was home all night when Haleigh Cummings vanished, but said she could not rule out the possibility that a male relative from Tennessee was involved in the disappearance.

Misty Croslin, the 17-year-old live-in girlfriend of Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, reported that Haleigh was missing from Cummings’ double-wide home around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The previous day, an unidentified male relative from Tennessee had left after a visit of an unspecified length. Cummings has denied published reports that he argued with the man about a gun.

‘He’s a criminal’

Among the 1,300 tips collected by investigators was one possible sighting of Haleigh in a car with an adult male and female in Knoxville, Tenn. Police in Knoxville have interviewed the relative Croslin spoke of, but on Friday she told TODAY’s Matt Lauer that she was not convinced the man was not involved in Haleigh’s disappearance.

“I really don’t know. I don’t know if he did [it] or not,” Croslin said, speaking via satellite from Satsuma, Fla. “He’s a criminal. Pretty much he’s been in trouble his whole life. I don’t trust him, no don’t.”

Croslin did not identify the man, nor did she say what her relationship to him is. She is the last person to have seen Haleigh, and she is the person who reported her missing. Inconsistencies have been pointed out in the story she has told investigators, although Croslin has reportedly passed a polygraph test.

On Wednesday, Putnam County, Fla., investigators interviewed her again. Lauer asked what questions she was asked. “They just wanted to go over some stuff with me, pretty much the same thing that they have been going over with me,” she replied without emotion.

‘I was home’

Lauer noted that one tip received by investigators alleged that Croslin was not at home when Haleigh went missing. Croslin has said that she got up to use the bathroom and realized that Haleigh was not in the room she shared with Croslin and her 4-year-old brother. It has also been suggested that Croslin did not call police immediately after she discovered Haleigh missing and the back door of the home, which she said was always locked, propped open with a brick.

TODAY
Five-year-old Haleigh Cummings was reported missing the morning of Feb. 10.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I was home. I was home,” she insisted. She said she does not know the exact time when she realized the little girl was not in the house, only that it was after 3 a.m. “I looked at the clock and I seen ‘3.’ I didn’t see the minutes, I just seen ‘3.’ After I looked around the house, called her name, I was on the phone with the cops,” Croslin told Lauer.

Other published reports have said that Croslin waited until Cummings came home sometime after 3 a.m. to tell him Haleigh was missing before calling police.

Whatever the gap, she told Lauer, “It was not a long period of time at all.”

The pink shirt

There are also questions about what Haleigh was wearing. Croslin initially told police she had a pink shirt on, the same shirt she had worn to school on Monday. But she later found the shirt in the laundry. Lauer asked her about that inconsistency.

Misty Croslin joined Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, and others at a nighttime vigil for the missing 5-year-old.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I was in the house with the detectives,” she said. “And I was looking by the dirty clothes — the clothes that she was wearing earlier in the day for school — and I found that shirt, and I showed the detectives. If I was hiding something, why would I show the cops the shirt?”
Ok, I thought the pink shirt was what she changed into after her bath.......so, why would you wear the same shirt to sleep in that you wore to school

Croslin was joined by Haleigh’s paternal grandmother, Teresa Neves. Both stood in front of a large tent in which the family is living because Cummings’ house has been sealed off as a crime scene. Croslin had pictures of Haleigh attached to her jacket, while Neves held a large photo of the girl, showing her blond curls and a distinctive smudgelike birthmark on her left cheek near her ear.

Neves has been supportive of Croslin, but Neves told Lauer she does not object to police questioning the young woman again. “I want the detectives to find my granddaughter. I do not care who they question. We are all available for questioning. All we want is for Haleigh to come home.”

Lauer asked Neves what she thinks happened.

“I think somebody came in the house and took her,” Neves replied. “Who it was I do not know or why they took her, I don’t know, but I do believe that somebody came in the house and took her.”

Lauer asked if she remained confident Haleigh would be found alive.

“Absolutely,” she said. “Absolutely. All we have is hope and prayer.”

Tip Leads To New Search For Haleigh Cummings
Friday, February 20, 2009 – updated: 12:33 pm EST February 20, 2009

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- A new tip led to a new ground search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings Friday and an army of deputies searched a wooded area just a few hundred yards from her home.

Putnam County sheriff's deputies stopped all physical ground searches for Haleigh Cummings last Monday, but Friday morning Eyewitness News found a search team in Satsuma in a parking lot and followed behind them.

The tip that led law enforcement to the wooded area came in overnight. Officers from all over, including Flagler County Fire Rescue, showed up early Friday morning to begin the search.

There were more than 70 searchers, some with walking sticks. Eyewitness News was the only TV news crew in the woods when the search began.

"We're going to move to the north, which will be to our right all the way down this road, double arms length apart. The go signal is going to be 'move,'" the search leader announced.

The group met briefly Friday morning and then lined up on a dirt road.

Haleigh Cummings has been missing for almost two weeks and, so far, no luck in tracking her down. There are new leads, though.

The FBI is investigating Misty Croslin's cousin in Tennessee about his possible role in the abduction. Croslin's cousin was in Satsuma the night Haleigh vanished and then went back to Tennessee.

MISTY CROSLIN TALKS
Watch WFTV Interview | Images

Misty Croslin is Haleigh's father's girlfriend and the last one to see the 5-year-old. Friday morning, she told Eyewitness News she doesn't trust her very own family member (watch it | images).

"Why don't you trust him?" WFTV reporter Mark Boyle asked Croslin.

"I just don't," she said.

"Is their a specific reason?" Boyle asked.

"I am not going to put that on TV," she said.

"You say he's a life-time criminal. Is that true?" Boyle asked.

"He has had a lot of trouble his whole life," she replied.

Eyewitness News has confirmed that a woman called 911 in Knoxville, Tennessee a few days ago to report a possible Haliegh sighting. The woman told police she saw a man shielding a little girl's face who looked like Haleigh while getting into an SUV.

There were also reports that Croslin's cousin and Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings, got into some type of argument hours before the 5-year-old disappeared.

Eyewitness News asked Cummings about the reported argument.

"There was no fight with a cousin over a gun. I don't know where people are getting their information from, but people say a lot of things and they don't always know what they are talking about," he said.

At noon Thursday, 17-year-old Misty Croslin was escorted to a car with two detectives. She had to put out her smoke before getting into the backseat, but didn't answer any questions.

Minutes later, her boyfriend, Ronald Cummings, spoke out about her (watch it).

"I don't have any suspicions of anybody," Ronald said of Misty. "Anybody could have done anything. Obviously, if I knew what was going on, I would have my daughter."

Yes it was a red Toyota RAV-4, with Florida plates......in which case, it would make less sense that the cousin had her because he is from, so therefore SHOULD have TN tags.
