Good news!

Perhaps the Fairness Doctrine is a good thing!

I recall the concerns about the ratio of positive/negative comments regarding McCain and Obama during the election.  Good news...maybe the Fairness Doctrine can fix this in the future.  Ensure that all candidates, not only the Democrat and Republican ones get equal time on the airwaves - a truly multi-party election.

I think about all those TV and other internet channels that show nothing but porn, music, comedy, and religion.  Good news!  Maybe Rush can get an hour or so on all of those stations - prime time to.   I think there are loads of channels that would benefit from the many evangelical efforts in this world - evangelical Muslims, Jews, Buddists, Christians, Peta, and others.

Good news continues.  Maybe the Fairness Doctrine could include other areas that employ broadcast equipment too.  Local places of worship, local schools, local shopping malls, carnivals, etc.  Some of these places could use thought expansion, and diversity of ideas.  One church in Chicago comes to mind.

Diversity is a good thing.  There are many ways to accomplish diversity.

If you create public airwaves via the radio that no one wants to listen to, what good is that?  Why force people to migrate to the internet or perhaps satellite radio for service?  There are many low power stations that are free and available to many.  They have a diverse program platform.

Why force small radio to provide programs that no one wants to listen to?  Why migrate to a communications network/service that is run by a few entertainment cartels?  Probably run by fewer and fewer in the future?

Why promote a less diverse America?

Radio Free America!!!

I saw a poster that said something like "If you exclude one member, you have no community."

The Good News?  Maybe Rush SHOULD have the opportunity to promote his agenda on the 24/7 porn networks.  How many Rush type groups are there that would benefit from the Fairness Doctrine?
