does anyone know yardwise, just how close the nearest body of water is? maybe a boat could have been used?

I sound like a moron now but it was 400 feet or 400 yards I want to say yards. Dangit, I cant keep up with all the links. So unless I find a reliable source don't listen to me, heh.

At the outset of Miss Haleigh's disappearance I questioned the tracking dogs going to the railroad tracks and water (St John's River/tributaries/canals?).  Cummings family resided very, very close to both.

I was listening to a broadcast one eve and the reporter was drowned out by train warning, so that implies it moves slowly through intersections thereabouts.

Dispatcher/deps are recorded saying early on that whomever should contact CSX re. their schedule through that area.

As re. tracking dogs, I would have taken them to the other side of the river that night to see if scent was picked up on the other side, but I never heard that LE/K9s headed over to the other side at that juncture.  Maybe they did head over there, but if they didn't it was a lost opp imho.

Foggy

But from looking at the distance in the pic to the water, I find it very hard to believe a 5 yr old walked all that distance by herself in the dead of night....creepy.

RC's pastor is on, he stated RC is not an official informant........curious as to why he chose to throw in the word "official"...weird

Ah yes, the pastor... He certainly did Ron no favors with some of what he said tonight.  I agree with you about the comment "not an 'official' informant", made me immediately think, okay was he an unofficial informant then?

And then the pastor talks about how Ron has been trying to do the right thing, turn his life around, etc.  Then he says he talked with Ron who told him (something to the effect of) he worked his 8 hour shift and went home.  Specifically said EIGHT hours.  Ermmm.. Ron supposedly works a 12 hour shift.  Was the pastor saying that Ron told him he had worked 8 hours that day?

We've heard that Ron supposedly works from 3 pm to 3 am.  And yet...

We've heard Ron say that he picked Haleigh up from the bus stop, taking her home before going to work.  That would have put him at work around 4 pm or so.  If he had worked 8 hours, as the pastor said, that would have put him back home around midnight.

In one of Misty's earliest everchanging stories, I heard her say that she checked on the kids before going to sleep at 10 pm, covering Haleigh up with the blanket she had washed and dried.  And then, "when WE woke up it was around 3 am".  She didn't ever repeat the WE again.  But I wondered then... Who is the WE she had referred to?

Could it have been Ron?  Could he have been at home from midnight on??

Hi Wyks. Some in the court hearing doc stated he worked from 6pm to 3am. But who knows-I did pick up the we part woke up....

Am glad you heard that too.  lol  And about his work, guess it's just like with the rest, we wait to hear the real whole story from LE, if they ever share anything.  lol

http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/amberalerts/news-article.aspx?storyid=132095&catid=295

Detectives have talked to the child. Relatives on both sides say he told police he saw a man in a ski mask come in their trailer and leave with his big sister.

Just thought we'd throw a ski mask in to the all black outfit.

Never heard that one yet, but just today grmna Sykes (sp) said jr never said these things

FTLOG~LE, pls clear someone so we can scratch 1 suspect off the list of hmmm 50 or so if you include RSO's

wait, is that crystals mom? she was with her when she said that i thought? and why would they have experts talk with jr if he never said it?

ugh. all these people need to stfu. we need official docs to peruse, not this gossipy crappola!

From your lips to God's ears, Peanut.  Trash talk isn't gonna help find Miss Haleigh.

I'm still praying for her.  The rest pmo to no end.   I want a hero to emerge here, but as of yet I cannot discern a one.

Very sweet picture, indeed. And good point. Does not look afraid at all to me.

Maybe they meant afraid of the "river" water.

As a child, I loved swimming, but only in pools. Was not too keen in swimming in a river/pond or ocea where I could not see what was in there with me.

I wonder if the paster just mis-spoke and said "8 hours" b/c that's the norm for a lot of folks and Ron didn't actually say 8.

Also, Haleigh got out of "school" at like 12 right? Since she's only 5? Or did she have an after-care thing?

So many questions.

We've got every cell phone ping that Casey Anthony... and all her array of relatves.... and casual aquaintances.... and boinks-du-jour  ever pinged, but so little here. Dang.

New video of Haleigh on Greta... just a small clip opening Christmas presents this past Christmas.

Phone interview w/Crystal's mother.  She said she's heard rumors that put Misty at a party house that night and had left someone else to stay with the children.  Rumors only

Asked by Greta what she thinks should be done, said she'd be talking extensively to RC & Misty because they're the ones who are there every day & know who has been in and around the house.

Hmmmm.. rumors or not, that's interesting!

Oh, I don't think she went to any place alone--esp. in the dark (if indeed that's when she disappeared  scratch).  We don't truly know when she came up missing.  It could have been any time after she came home from school/after her daddy left for work.

I'm just remarking that two venues to transport her away were in very close proximity to the family home.
