SATSUMA, Fla. -- Investigators in the search for Haleigh Cummings converged on Dumpster not far from the missing 5-year-old's home on Thursday.

Logic dictates that a nearby dumpster would have been searched within a short period of time following the reported disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.

SATSUMA, FL -- Angry over rumors she was in hiding today, Haleigh Cummings' mother spoke to First Coast News to clear the air.

Crystal Sheffield spoke with First Coast News Jackelyn Barnard at 6 Thursday evening, and expressed her feelings over the rumors about her.

"I'd like it to stop," she said, adding that while her daughter is missing, she isn't going anywhere.

The rumor that she wasn't available started Thursday when investigators went looking for Sheffield to get a DNA sample, which Sheffield confirmed. First Coast News confirmed Sheffield did give a DNA sample to investigators today.

She said she wasn't hiding from anyone.

"It's very frustrating...I'm very mad right now," she concluded.

Am thinking if she wasn't actually 'missing', as was reported by the media, she has every right to be very mad right now.

SATSUMA, FL -- Late Thursday afternoon, investigators, who have had their busiest day in about a week, went to the neighborhood behind Haleigh Cummings' house and began searching through a construction dumpster.

After 5 p.m., the search moved into the Villas neighborhood, which is just on the other side of a fence from where Ronald and Haleigh Cummings' house is.

First Coast News Erich Spivey says investigators were following a tip from area neighbors.
It is not clear if this is the first time this area has been searched, or specifically what searchers are after as they looked through the large dumpster.

Bio mom being "mad"?  Wow.  I would have been "mad" the second I heard my child was missing.  That reminds me of alleged killer of Caylee who hadn't been angry til that visit from her parents in jail.

Now that makes sense that both parents would be ask and give their samples early on.

Well.. it seems odd that there was such a concern in not being able to find Crystal and her mom, and they say pffffft no such problem, knock off the rumors etc.  Would love to know what the real story there is.

Well, the headline certainly got folks' attention, so mission accomplished IMO. . 

Sounds like an exaggeration solely for BOMBSHELL !! ratings.

I mean, think about it; Going to a local Dr.'s appointment is hardly a wily-ruse-crafty-stratagem-cunning-subterfuge of a master escape plan if she were actually seeking to avoid submitting her DNA.
