Maurice Dubois wrote an open letter today.. The News media has cut it up and I have only found parts of it..

Here is what I know..

Since she went missing, "I have felt like my heart has been ripped out of my body," Maurice DuBois wrote. "Words can't explain how I feel every day without you here." I couldn't imagine Father's Day being worse than when Amber's grandfather died, but "this year is by far worse. I don't have my Amber here.

"It has been 128 days that our family has been torn apart, and each one seems longer than the last. There is no day that goes by that I don't cry for hours before falling asleep."

Maurice DuBois closed the letter by saying thousands of people were praying for her, and he had faith that she would return safely.

This is the clearest video of the truck I have seen. I wish we could see if the truck turned left or right, if it stopped at the drive way for more then just a few seconds or if it left quickly. Also, I wonder if Amber could have started to walk through this drive way to maybe get were she was going faster. If there was just another camera.

Ambers dads letter made me cry. So sad to read of the pain this family is going through. I know one day she will be found, I just pray it is sooner then later.

I'm stuck on the truck from the bus yard...I'm still trying to figure out if it's a Dodge or a Toyota, lol.  Wonder if it's even relavent.  I wish they could figure out if it is suspect or just someone pulling over.  IMO it is not someone pulling over to use cell phone (does CA have the "hands free" law? In OH we can still drive & talk on an actual phone).  If someone wanted to pull over to use their phone there would be pleanty of other more accessable places to do it, one would think.

Edward, can you post the map that is in this post http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=4583.msg807510#msg807510 in this thread http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=5313.0  for easier access?  I would do it myself, but not sure how... TIA, Lovinlife

Which map ? the google image map ? or the one that ampersand posted ?

My way of thinking of this is this.. Do not second guess yourself.
The red truck has something to do with this because of its drivers behavior.
1. He parks facing the street, when the white car pulls in he quickly backs up past the entry gate and pulls forward and to the right parking on the far side of a parked car. His truck is now blocked from view on the right side and in front of the red truck is blocked by the bus.. Out his lefty side door is the running tack for the high school..
The red pick up seeked out a spot out of view so as to get his victim under control in my opinion.

Do not second guess yourself.. It is not healthy
Everyone is correct in suspect of the Red/Maroon pick up. Its actual make and model are interesting but without a license plate number useless because so many of these trucks are in operation all over the united states and Mexico.

I don't know how to post pictures, I think this is a link which will take you to a google map.

If it shows, you will notice the parking lot to the right side of the maintenance yard with the street to the rear of the truck. this is where the truck parks. It comes from the left front of the maintenance yard. If you notice the green patch of lawn on the other side of the driveway, across from that is the baseball field, there are parking spaces facing the street. My thought is he was waiting there for someone walking on the side walk or someone to walk in that parking lot. Could Amber have walked through the lot to get where she was going?

I had asked before if there had been video from businesses around the school, specifically the health club on the other side of the school. Or the other schools in that area, there are 2 others right off the same street. Also, cal trans traffic camera's have they been checked for this truck? What way does traffic go in that area in the morning? These question may at least give us a direction to look in?

From Ambers website www.bringamberhome.com

PRAYERS FOR AMBER'S SAFE RETURN

Heavenly Father, You tell us to ask and it will be given to us.
We are asking, pleading, and believing You will bring Amber home safely. Lord, release an army of angels to surround her in this very moment, to protect her mind, body, and spirit.
Send Your warriors to fight off whatever enemies she is facing. Send forth a light ahead to show her rescuers exactly where she is that she may be found and returned to the aching arms of her family. Let not discouragement or despair gain an inch in the battle to bring Amber home. You are mighty to save. You can move mountains. You know where she is, Lord. Please shine Your light, release the enemy's grip, and by the awesome power of Your Holy Spirit reach into the hearts, minds, eyes, and ears, of the people who have seen Amber, who know where she is right now and can bring her home safely.

We ask this in the precious, powerful and holy name of your beloved son, Jesus, Amen.

I posted comments in that above posted link as anonymous, on How Amber could be taken into the world of Human trafficking. I did not post it on this forum.
There are many victims of forced sexual servitude that never leave the united states..
Some do.
She could be 2 blocks from home and NEVER call home or police..
If the family does not believe that they need to contact Dr.Donna M.Hughes and get educated on the subject matter.
I know grandma has talked to Amber, but what Grandma does not understand is that THEY know how to twist the human mind as a profession and she is only 14.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of trying to kidnap a 9-year-old girl as she was walking on Larson Street in Olivehurst, Yuba County Sheriff Steve Durfor said Tuesday.

Charles Dean Sherling, who lives in the Johnson Park area in Olivehurst, was being held Tuesday in Yuba County Jail on $100,000 bail.

An Olivehurst woman called the Sheriff's Department about 8:30 p.m. Monday to report that a stranger had tried to get her granddaughter into his truck. Sherling allegedly stopped and asked the girl for directions to Johnson Park School, said Durfor.

"The girl pointed toward the school, but the man asked her to get into the truck and show him where the school was. The girl refused and backed away, and the man yelled at her and demanded she get into the truck," Durfor said.

Sherling then jumped out of the truck and lunged at the girl, who ran. He then drove off, the sheriff said.

As a deputy was speaking with witnesses near the girl's home, two of them spotted Sherling driving by and said, "There he is," Durfor said.

Deputies stopped the truck on Highway 70 near Erle Road. Witnesses identified Sherling, who was arrested and booked into Yuba County Jail.

Durfor credited the girl with acting correctly when approached by a stranger.

"Her quick thinking undoubtedly led to a happy ending in this case. This incident is the perfect opportunity to discuss safety with your children, and what they should do in a similar situation," he said.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Melany Oakes said that as far as the department knows Sherling has no arrests or convictions for any sex-related charges. His only convictions are for domestic violence, she said.

OT ..But it is in the area..

Investigators say a California woman held hostage in her home by an ex-boyfriend has been saved by a chance visit from a bill collector.
San Bernardino County sheriff's Deputy Mark James says the debt collector knocked on the door Wednesday. The 30-year-old woman answered, scribbled the word "help" and her ex's name, Miguel Rios.

When the debt collector asked if she was OK, the woman cried and whispered that Rios had a gun and was holding her hostage.

Deputies were called and the 28-year-old Rios was arrested. The woman, held since Sunday, had bite marks and bruises, including marks on her neck where Rios allegedly tried to strangle her.

Rios was booked for investigation of false imprisonment and making terrorist threats, among other allegations.
