You do excellent research Edward! Me, ummm not so much.  Sometimes prayers are all that I have to offer.

I am very interested in your information about the caring of the animals and that angle.

Keep it coming & God Bless Amber!

Do not cut yourself that short, if it was not for you I would not have noticed the fact that Jennifer Kesse was also hanging around that bar in Florida.. Because of your comment the police got quickly informed..  It has re-lighted the investigation into Jennifers disapperance..
Thank You for that..
There are great people working on those 2 cases and I hope they find something soon.

I have a question RE: the sex offender database.

In my county that I live in they are mapped similar to this thru the sheriff's department.  When you click on the push pin their mug shot with their arrest record on it, age, etc.  Does Escondito have something like this?

I am currious if any of these match the discription of the young man seen walking with Amber.  I hope of course that LE has already done so.

I forgot to ask, what about homeless SO's?  On my county they come back listed as unmappable, but you can still get all of the other information (mugshot, etc) on them.

An FBI crime report shows an increased number of forcible rapes in San Diego, Escondido, and Oceanside during 2008. The report shows a 27 percent increase in San Diego. Oceanside had a 20 percent jump in rapes, while Escondido had an 11 percent spike.

San Diego FBI agent Darrell Foxworth said the report is key to figuring out why the increase in sexual assaults is taking place.

"That's one of the reasons we issue this report. We are looking to educate law enforcement agencies and the public, so everyone can have an increased awareness," Foxworth said.

Officials at the Center for Community Solutions rape crisis center say they weren't surprised by the latest statistics.

"The increase is a reflection of outreach efforts to get more people to come forward. There has been so much community education on the process of reporting a sexual assault, " explains victims advocate Michelle Smith.

Chula Vista saw a 3 percent decrease in forcible rapes in 2008. The FBI's uniform crime report is released every year.

Okay I'm caught up, unfortunately there wasn't as much to read as I had anticipated.
I am somewhat frustrated.

Are we stll getting feedback from Amber's family? or someone close to them?

I am wondering about that human traffiking article Edward posted, and have wondered about this myself much.  I don't think I had heard that Amber recently started chatting with some boys or whoever online though.  All IP addresses can be retrieved from your hard drive that your computer communicates with.  Have the EPD seized their computer? What are they doing in an effort to search?

Why hasn't someone figured out (FBI computer experts or something) what type of truck, year, etc.  done a search for all those spec's to see who bought this type.  Looks like a lot of custom stuff on it to me... and maybe all these things have been done, tried, etc., but would help us I think if we knew...

I too have asked about local business cameras but never heard anything.

I am so tired of these sicko's taking our children it must stop.  I cannot even imagine how her parents feel, heart wrenching.  I will let myself for a moment, just a second really, think about what if it were one of my three daughters.  Worrying, wanting to rescue them, but not knowing where in the hell to look or what to do.  Wondering is she thinking MOM FIND ME>>>> and feeling so helpless.  And then I have to stop and realize it is not my child, thankfully, but it could be.  It could be any of us.  We need to do whatever we can to tighten the restrictions on released sex offenders and make tougher sentencing laws on crimes involving children.  In my opinion, child sex predators should never be released from prison, it seems they always re-offend with a more heinous crime. IMO

I pray Amber is rescued TODAY, please God allow her to return to her family.

ChiChi  Good to see you again.

Your three main questions answered as best I can:  ( I do my best, but this is JMO.)

Family feedback:  not much recently.

Computer:  EPD has searched the computers and  services.  They've not announced any helpful findings.

Additional Security Cameras:   No information at all released that I know about.

Burgundy  truck:  The film has been studied, but the quality cannot be enhanced enough to get a License or make and year.

I know it is discouraging, but maybe tomorrow there will be something new.

Chi-M

Bring Amber home!

Thanks Chi Monkey, it is discouraging.  I wish there was more info, more to spin ideas off of.  Edward is right, something MUST be done, it is ridiculous, unacceptable and should not be tolerated any longer.  Law reform and preventative measures are needed, where does one start.. Happy 4th everyone

On the subject of computer usage..MuffyBee made a great point on another thread..

Sometimes kids go to other people's houses and use their computers to create and access myspace and other websites even if you have parental controls and forbid this at your own house.  Or they can go to the public library and use computers there.   Back to the old "where there's a will, there's a way" saying.  Parents may not even know their kids have a myspace.

A question from a news report reader..  Why did Pam quit taking Amber to school ?

Good point, local libaries and even community college libraries have access to the internet.

SAN DIEGO -- A registered sex offender was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of exposing himself to a teenage girl in City Heights last month and kidnapping a 9-year-old girl in Valencia Park a week later, authorities reported.

DNA evidence allegedly ties Ieremia Tuiolemotu, 37, to the June 15 abduction, according to San Diego police.

The victim was walking to school about 8:45 that morning when the kidnapper pulled up alongside her in a van in the 100 block of Latimer Street.

The man got out, grabbed the youngster and ordered her to get into the vehicle. She complied, but was able to break free and flee moments later. The girl suffered no serious injuries.

Investigators believe Tuiolemotu also is responsible for a June 9 indecent exposure case in the 4600 block of Wightman Street in City Heights, SDPD spokeswoman Monica Munoz said.

The flasher, who was inside a white van when he committed the crime, did not make physical contact with the 17-year-old victim.

Tuiolemotu's previous offenses include indecent exposure and annoying or molesting a minor, Munoz said.

The spokeswoman declined to disclose how police obtained the DNA sample that allegedly links Tuiolemotu to the abduction.

An internet stalker has been arrested after trying to abduct a British schoolgirl while she was on a family vacation in the south of France. The 12-year-old, from Glasgow, was lured from her holiday home and taken to an airport by a Belgian man she had met online.

The terrified girl was found sobbing by airport workers after being abandoned by the 41-year-old when he realized she did not have a passport.

Her abductor, who pretended to be her uncle, was arrested shortly after he boarded a flight to Madrid.

The pair are believed to have chatted on the net for around four months before he went to meet her in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and took her to Marseilles Provence airport to board a flight to Spain.

Reports in France said the girl met her abductor, who claimed to be 28, on a social networking website.

The Associated Press
11:11 a.m. July 1, 2009
LAS VEGAS — Federal prosecutors say two more defendants face drug conspiracy and other charges in a criminal case stemming from the abduction of a 6-year-old boy from his Las Vegas home last October.
A revised indictment unsealed Tuesday charges Erik Dushawn Webster and Jesus Gastelum with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and other crimes.
Webster and Gastelum join two other defendants in the case involving the kidnapping of Cole Puffinburger. Prosecutors believe the boy was taken by drug traffickers trying to locate his grandfather. The boy was found unharmed days later.
Court records show Webster made an initial appearance in the case June 15. He is free without bail pending a July 10 court appearance.
The U.S. attorney's office in Nevada says Gastelum remains a fugitive.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — A jury on Thursday was set to consider the case of Jesse James Hollywood, who is accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old boy over a drug debt then ordering his death and going on the run for years, a string of events that inspired the 2007 movie "Alpha Dog."

In August 2008, Reuters reported on an American businesswoman identified only as "Veronica," who had been kidnapped a few months earlier. As she was exiting her car in California, two men forced her into the passenger seat at gunpoint, then shoved her teenage daughter into the back seat and took the pair to Mexico.

The kidnappers drove through the border checkpoint in San Diego, bringing the mother and daughter to Tijuana. The two were held captive for a month until their family paid the ransom of $100,000.

Veronica said of her experience: "We got an automatic green light to go through Mexican customs and then we were blindfolded and taken to a house in Tijuana. They held a pistol to my stomach all the time we were in the car."

Mexican intelligence officials claim that Veronica is only one of about 30 Americans abducted in southern California and taken to Tijuana since last November.

Mexican officials have been aware of the growing number U.S. abductions for some time. Baja California State Attorney General Rommel Moreno recently told Reuters news agency: "Transnational kidnappings are a new way of operating for these criminal groups, mainly in California, and so we are seeking collaboration with the United States."

In August 2008, the FBI´s San Diego field office admitted that they were currently investigating the kidnapping of 16 U.S. residents who were held in Tijuana between October 2007 and May 2008, including many of whom were abducted in San Diego.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, as of mid November, there had been 266 kidnappings and 300 home invasions during 2008. However, police estimate the actual numbers to be closer to three times as high as the reported figures. Many victims fail to report such crimes, out of fear from further retribution from the notoriously violent cartels.

Phoenix Police Lt. Lori Burgett told CBS News: "It wasn´t uncommon to have a new kidnapping case coming into our offices on a daily basis."

Bride kidnapping, also known as marriage by abduction or marriage by capture, is a practice throughout history and around the world in which a man abducts the woman he wishes to marry. Bride kidnapping still occurs in countries spanning Central Asia, the Caucasus region, and parts of Africa, and among peoples as diverse as the Hmong in southeast Asia, the Tzeltal in Mexico, and the Romani in Europe. In most countries, bride kidnapping is considered a sex crime, rather than a valid form of marriage.

A man who allegedly used a hatchet to attack a 21-year-old woman and critically injure her boyfriend today in Escondido was arrested, police said.

Gamalier Rivera, 33, is accused of attacking the two around 1:15 a.m. at a house in the 800 block of South Upas Street, according to Escondido police.

Both victims were taken to Palomar Medical Center, where the man was in critical condition with wounds to his neck and torso, police said.

The woman was treated and released for injuries to her legs.

Cassandra Bollas, who told The San Diego Union-Tribune she is the woman's sister, said her sister rented a room at the house where the attack took place and that she and her boyfriend worked as nurses.

"She is in complete shock," Bollas said, adding that her sister described the attack as something out of horror movie, with blood all over the room.

Rivera, who was found covered in blood near the crime scene, works for the U.S. Border Patrol, but police did not say in what capacity.

He was also taken to Palomar Medical Center, but the cause and extent of his injuries were not immediately revealed.

Other people were in the home at the time of the attack, but no one else was injured.

According to a News 8 report, Rivera is the female victim's estranged husband.

Non-Family Abductions in California
January 29, 2009 by MCA

When the public hears of a missing child case, it is generally involving one of the estimated 115 child victims of the most serious, long-term non-family abduction called “stereotypical kidnappings”.

The best national estimates for the number of missing children are from incidence studies conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. To date two such studies have been completed.

In this San Francisco Chronicle article about Ilene Misheloff , who went missing on 1/30/1989, the author has this statement which would indicate almost half of all stranger abductions happen on California. There are currently 22 victims of  Non-Family Abductions  listed at the NCMEC from California.

As a result, two decades later, parents are far more reluctant to let young children walk alone to school or play out front with no supervision. Still, more than 50 California children are typically abducted each year by strangers, according to the state Department of Justice.

Ilene Misheloff was last seen walking home from school alone. She is among the 723 children over 21-years-old, listed at the NCMEC who went missing as children but whose disappearances remain unsolved.

Parents still hoping, 20 years after abduction

The pain is never far away. But neither is the hope.

When Maddi Misheloff speaks of her daughter, Ilene, the girl with the frizzy black hair and shy smile is always in the present tense. About to walk through the door.

The fact that Ilene vanished exactly 20 years ago this Friday at the age of 13 while walking home from school matters less to Maddi Misheloff than her belief that Ilene is still out there somewhere. Kidnapped, but alive. Waiting for a chance to return.

Here is a map of missing children..
Pick california and wait for it to load.. OMG
Alot of missing kids over time..

I've looked at that map before.  California shut down my computer.  It is very sad.  Thanks for sharing and God Bless Amber!
