One more user comment... Take it or leave it.. jmho

just me
Tuesday, March 17, 2009I do not want to bring false hope however, I do want to help Amber get home. I'm sure I sound crazy and maybe I am, but I could not let it go. Last night a friend of mine, out of the blue, said "I drove by a sign with Amber Dubois name on it and I experienced something really strange". He continued on to say that Amber was taken by someone she knew, not personally, but someone she saw everyday either driving by , or someone that maybe used to wave to her all the time, he offered to get her stoned. My friend seems to think Amber liked to smoke pot. He said that is why she got in this mans car on her own free will. He said Amber was taken to a house near the school on a street called Nina. The house is coral color with white trim and it has dividers on the window. There is a dark green or dark blue older style truck sitting at or near the house. I have never been in that area but I drove there tonight. I could not see the house colors well because it was dark, but as I drove down nina there was a house with dividers in the window and outside on the street was a green older style truck. In the driveway was a dark blue older style truck. I called and told him about what I saw on the street and asked him if he were bullshitting or not. He said "I've never been on that street". he stated it just came to him and it was so overwhelming, he thinks the police should hit every house on that street at 5am and search for Amber or evidence of her. The mind is a powerful thing and can often play tricks on us, but like I said I could not let it go. I think my friend is psychic, but I know there has been many cases solved by psychics. If that were my daughter I would of had a psychic involved immediately. The police didn't handle that other missing girls case very well. The one where they arrested the brother and his friend and let them sit in juvenile hall forever without looking into other leads. Anyway, I do not know Amber or her family. I never heard of her until news broke she was missing. Now I may never forget her. I pray she is found.

This is a map of that street mentioned.. and it has a street view on the map so you can look up and down the street.
I agree with one thing... The Human mind is a very powerful thing... So who knows, anything is possible..

the North County Times | Posted: Friday, August 21, 2009 4:45 pm

ESCONDIDO ---- No significant breaks in the search for missing teen Amber Dubois were reported Friday, two days after specialized search dogs began scouring a local area looking for any trace of the 14-year-old girl.

The dogs, said by their handlers to be able to track the scent of a person missing for weeks or even months, are part of VK9 Scent Specific Search Recovery of Brewer, Maine.

Escondido police Lt. Craig Carter said Friday morning that a police canine officer was shadowing the dogs, Quincy, a Labrador retriever, and Jack, a German short haired pointer, and their handlers.

Carter said, however, there was nothing significant to report at that time. He could not be reached Friday afternoon.

Moe Dubois, Amber's father, said he understood the dogs had been helpful though, following the suggestion of local police, he said he could not elaborate on the search.

The Escondido High School freshman was last seen at about 7:10 a.m. Feb. 13 walking to the school on North Broadway.

Anyone with information about Amber's disappearance is urged to call Escondido police at 760-743-8477.

The only way I know is to report me.  You can't report yourself.

REGION: Vigil to mark 200th day since teen disappeared

the North County Times | Posted: Monday, August 31, 2009 10:20 pm | No Comments Posted

A vigil marking the 200th day since Escondido teen Amber Dubois disappeared will be held in San Diego at 7 p.m. Tuesday, the teen's family said.

Dubois was last seen Feb. 13 at 7:10 a.m., walking on North Broadway on her way to class at Escondido High School. Her family believes she was abducted by a stranger, though police have found no evidence to prove what happened to the bookish 14-year-old girl.

Despite help from private investigators, highly-trained search dogs and a team of police detectives, no trace of the teen has been found in six months.

The vigil will be held to discuss ongoing search efforts, upcoming fundraisers and ways the public can help search for Amber, according to a news release distributed by the family.

The vigil will be held at Cafe Coyote, 2461 San Diego Ave. in the Old Town neighborhood of San Diego. Ten percent of participants' food purchases will be donated to the search efforts for Amber. The family asks that you notify your server that you are there for the vigil.

More information about Amber Dubois is available at www.bringamberhome.com.

Anyone with information about the teen's disappearance is asked to call Escondido police at 760-743-8477

Oakley man arrested after sexual texts sent to teen
By Robert Salonga
Contra Costa Times

OAKLEY — A 48-year-old man suspected of sending sexually provocative text messages to a teenage girl was arrested after investigators posed as the girl and got him to meet them at a local school, police said.

A 15-year-old Oakley girl contacted police about 9 p.m. Saturday after telling her mother that a family friend sent her a text message suggesting that he have sex with her and a female friend, also a minor.

A police sergeant then used the cell phone to have a text exchange with the man posing as the girl and arranging for a meeting at a local school at midnight, purportedly for sex, said Oakley police Chief Chris Thorsen. The man showed up and was arrested.

Mitchell Jepsen, of Oakley, was arrested on suspicion of soliciting a juvenile. He also was arrested on suspicion of DUI and drug possession after he was suspected of being under the influence of methamphetamine.

I do have new hopes that Amber could/may be found alive..

That Stockholm syndrome appears to get a strong hold on a young mind pretty quick..

I have to keep an open mind on this one as Not One Thing of Amber's has ever been found and that phone was keyed up the next day.

One of the problems is this...

5 Indian reservations wrap around Escondido California. IF Amber is held at a home in a basement on any of these Indian reservations Not One American, not even local Escondido police has any right to go in and search for her..
IF No other Indian reports it, then she could be in that basement forever.
Who ever allowed that Indian Nation Law to exist is Anti American. Anything from Little girls to Terrorist weapons could be held or stored on these lands..

CA man charged with kidnapping teen he met online

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

An 18-year-old California man has been charged with kidnapping a 15-year-old Idaho girl after police say the two met on a social networking site and he got her to move in with him.

Misael (mis-AY'-el) G. Juarez of Oceano, Calif., is being held in the Ada County Jail on a charge of second-degree kidnapping.

Police say Juarez met the Boise girl on MySpace earlier this summer and got her to move into his residence in California. They say the girl was reported as a runaway to Boise police on June 4 and was found at Juarez's home on June 17.

Juarez was extradited to Boise this week.

Police didn't say how the girl got to California, and it was unknown if Juarez had an attorney.

The charge of second-degree kidnapping is punishable by up to 25 years in prison, with a one-year mandatory minimum.

Did you see the comments by people that read sfgate  NorthernRose?

People seem to think that since she left Idaho on her own to move in with this fellow there should not be a kidnapping charge .. and some think there should be No charges against him.

She is 15 years old for christ sakes...
I think MEN need to understand that if you pick up on a child you are going to jail...
