Thank You Northern Rose

I have no idea who these 2 are but could be anyone.. There are many missing.

What I am waiting for is the skull found in Landers. Have you seen anything on that yet ?

Nothing at all.

The 4th skull found by the highway by the person walking their dog was a plaster replica.

Hi Northern Rose!
I was told that it could be weeks before they learn anything about the skull in Landers. I am praying that it is not Amber. I am also praying for the loved ones of whoever it ends up being.

More skeletal remains found in Riverside County. I just started following the missing persons cases after Amber went missing. It seems to me that an inordinate amount of remains are being discovered as of late, or is the norm?

It's normal... I still have 62 unidentified remains/bodies in my folder from California alone dating back to November of 2007. I am sure there are even more that I do not know about/didn't read about/missed news report, etc. For each day I can remove 1 from my folder for learning an identity, I add 4-8 more of newly found remains. This Country is literally littered with dead bodies and human remains. Many of which will never be found...let alone identified if/when found.

Hi Nut44x4!
This is disturbing information to say the least. How very sad! I was reading the other day about some remains that were found in New Mexico. It sounds like the powers to be were sweeping it under the rug stating that it was probably an undocumented person. How the heck would they know that? Even if it were, does this family not deserve to know?

yikes that is horrible. I wonder if most of the unidentified are homeless or transient people? So sad.

Two possible routes directly to cell tower from school.  Depending on where in the coverage area the cell is, the distance and travel time would change but this gives you an idea.

First route that goes south then onto 15 is 7.4 miles 10 mins

Second route that goes north on N Broadway is 5.2 miles 12 mins.

thanks Northern for the maps

regarding the question as to if all phone companies have a code that you must enter to retrieve voicemails: I have ATT and am in Northern Cali.  All I do is hold down the "1" on my phone and it goes directly to voicemail.  If Amber were hurt, you are right, she would not call voicemail... that does not make any sense.  But if the perp left a message to lure her, they may want to delete it.  Did authorities ever access her voicemails? I don't rememer hearing about that.  My husband made a point that maybe someone found the fone and tried to access the voicemail to see who it belonged to to possibly return it, then could not.  Wonder where it is now...looks like it was fairly close to the school tho.

Hi ChiChi,
It is my understanding that all calls coming into the cellphone were checked as well as the voicemails, phone records etc. From my knowledge, the only thing someone did the Saturday after Amber went missing was dial *82 and then hang up?
Hi Sebastian, what is *82?

MuffyBee

On 3 of my computers the message box is unstable.
I can't lock the characters to highlight them. It goes wild and is uncontrollable.
This has happened since upgrading to windows explorer7 It is also happening on other forums.
So my question is this. Is this common or just me ?

Edward, do you mean that with each letter you type the screen jumps up and you cannot even see what you are typing?  This happens to me also.

Edward and chi please try my suggestion. DD told me about it and my screen hasn't done it since. Click the little tab next to your toolbar that looks like a ripped piece of paper. It is the compatibility view tab.

Hi ChiChi,
I think that is the way that you can check your messages with Amber's phone.

This makes me feel better. In the article it said that he was residing in Escondido. I probably checked the Escondido SO list.

This jewelry looks like 14k gold and gemstones. Odd that the jewelry is still remaining. If this was foul play, the motive must not have been robbery.

This woman may have been a mother. Many times mothers wear jewelry that is the birthstones of their children. This is very sad indeed.

If the jewelry is real gold the rings could be specific to a particular jeweler. That would narrow down their search.

Tracygirl,

It only happens when I use the quote feature... like now it is not doing it.  But I do not see this ripped piece of paper that you mentioned.

I agree about the victim being a mother, if in fact that jewerly belongs to the victim.  I thought I read that they were certain it was a male skull?... idk.  I can't imagine anyone missing a family member and not recognizing that jewelry.  Have they posted these pics on the news? I haven't seen anything related to this find other than what has been posted on here.
