Just wanted to drop by and see if there is any news, either from Jug, Beth, Dave or anyone else pertinent to the case.  I want to wave to Klaas, Red, Mrs. Red, NoneSuche, San, CBB and Anna and all the other great monkeys.

Perhaps I can spend a bit more time here in the near future.  I am getting tired of working of not being able to say 'no' to every project that comes along.    Does Kermit still come here?  If so, has our favorite frog shared anything of late?

Tylergal,

I miss you every day that I post.  Read back a couple of pages and see the latest.  Most of it goes over my head except for the Class Action Lawsuit against those who conducted the deep sea search for Natalee.

It's so good to see you Tyler.  I'm looking forward to seeing you post more and jump right in.

Yes, Kermit is here and the discussions have been intersting lately especially the topic of Kyle and the Persistence search for Natalee or should we call it the scam.

That's flawed research on Judith McNaught. I doubt she ever met Louis Schaefer.

Judith McNaught and Eagle Syndication are only connected to him by means of a real estate transaction. And to call her his girlfriend... Rolling Eyes

Just wanted to say thanks again to vms for clearing that up.

As I've never been a fan of the romance novel genre, I'd never heard of this woman.  Historical non-fiction/fiction is where its at for me!

It is so nice of vms to follow along and let us know when monkey research is flawed.
I am sure she would have enlightened us if anything else had been wrong.

Thanks Puzzler & Ktf, but I just can't take credit for it - it is truly everybody's work - I'm just copy-pasting and formatting.

in off-topic unrelated Dutch news:

opinion polling shows that Wilders PVV is now the largest party of The Netherlands for the first time.
http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=2763.msg696702#new

however it is expected that with an election traditional parties will take over the stances of the PVV and voters will return to the traditional parties.

already this can be seen as both CDA (christian-democrats, governing party) and SP (socialist party) have taken over Brinkman PVV stances on Aruba/Antilles.
only in more diplomatic terms.

and all political parties protested the banning of Wilders from entering the UK strongly.

Wilders is being prosecuted for his anti-islam allegedly hate-speech. this caused him to surge in the opinion polls.

there are two possibilities i can think of:

1. it gives the CDA government a trick card they can play at the right time.
in case of an (early) election justice-minister Hirsch Ballin CDA could order termination of the prosecution.

2. Wilders is expected to be aquitted anyway.
when this happens he can't say anymore that he is a martyr of free speech.

I disagree with you, Lifesong.
You have put it together in a way that is interesting to follow.
It reminds me of the movie All the President's Men
I can see it unfolding.

It is interesting.I find the timing of the Peter R Devries tapes, along with what was occuring with the cage/trap very interesting.May be a coincidence but that timing is interesting to say the least!

Kyle Kingman:  “He [John Silvetti] did make several comments about trying to land some work through contacts he met while in Aruba. This alone isn't a conflict of interest, but it tainted his focus in my opinion.”

I imagine you wouldn't meet too many people if you're onboard your ship all the time.  Seems to me you'd kind of have to go out of your way to make those kinds of contacts, but Idk.  Sure would love to know who he met, Kyle.

I really am starting to think the reason Kyle lost $15k is because Schaefer didn't pay Silvetti and Silvetti couldn't pay Kyle, etc.  That's why the drive for donations at the end of the search by everyone connected to Silvetti through TE.  Tim Miller even went on Greta and asked for donations - at one point in the interview he even referred to Schaefer and said "bless his heart".  I think they were all told that Schaefer's business had tanked (through no fault of his own), he'd lost a fortune and couldn't pay the bills.

I'm also curious if Schaefer was there for the 12/30 meeting and just isn't in the pictures - questionable though.  Hodges states "he [Schaefer] planned on returning after Christmas as did I."  Then on 12/29 when Hodges returns, there's no mention of Schaefer.  Was he there or not?

We need a picture of Mermis - maybe he caught a ride over from Venezuela to stand in for Schaefer....
