Casey Anthony case: Lee Anthony's deposition leads noon news

Television couldn't relay what Lee Anthony was saying in a Friday deposition.

Nevertheless, he was the top story on the noon newscasts of WFTV-Channel 9, WESH-Channel 2 and WKMG-Channel 6.

Anthony sat across from Zenaida Gonzalez, who is suing his sister, Casey, for defamation. Gonzalez says her life was ruined when Casey Anthony linked her to the disappearance of Caylee Anthony. Casey Anthony is charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter.

WFTV's Kathi Belich noted that the deposition was continuing at noon and that it had started late because of confusion about whether an attorney for Casey Anthony would attend. He didn't.

WKMG's J.R. Stone noted that Lee Anthony wasn't talking to the press, but the station showed him during the deposition sitting with his arms folded most of the time or briefly fiddling with his hands.   

The deposition was being recorded, and Belich said reporters hoped to see it later today.

I was hoping someone was going to answer you, because I was wondering, too.    Is he the relative that came for a visit around the time that KC got pregnant?   Is his name Jeremy?   I'm not sure.   Anyone know?

The reason no body is answering is because those of us here have beat that pic to death!  Some think it is Caylee's dad.  I think the conclusion is we don't know for absolute certain who he is.  Someone correct me if I am wrong

I haven't seen that picture before and Caylee looks so much like grandma there I don't think I can see anyone else in her.

Lee's attorney said his client will not answer any questions if members of the media are allowed in the room while the deposition is happening.
New Hearing Set For Monday In Casey Anthony Case

A new hearing date has been set for two motions filed by Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez.

One of the motions is asking a judge to stop the release of personal images of Casey's that were put on the Photobucket Web site.

Baez argues that the images were taken a year before Caylee disappeared and have no connection to the case.

In addition, Baez said the pictures will only embarrass Casey and may paint her in a negative light.

Meanwhile, Baez also filed a second motion to try to delay the release of a jailhouse video that allegedly shows Casey's reaction the day Caylee's remains were found.

Baez claims the video violates his client's Sixth Amendment right to have her lawyer present as well as her medical privacy rights under law.

The hearing for the motions is set for Monday at 4:15 p.m. at the Orange County Courthouse.
