I had to sign back on today to leave a few messages, so here goes:

Janetruth:  You do not even come near to that category I was talking about.  I was talking about the peope who have kids, then claim abuse, then leave the kids with the abuser, then start yet another family with someone else. Meanwhile, the dad starts another family with another girl, and then has an entirely different girl babysitting his other two kids so he can work.  That seems to be the rule, no comittment to each other or the kids.

A News Junkie:  I did post the wrong link, but here is the correct one regarding the 12-year-old girl:

http://www.news4jax.com/news/18735155/detail.html

I hope they find out who she real soon.

I signed on today because even trying to avoid this forum for awhile, info regarding this case was in the headlines in Baltimore today.  Roy Kronk to be specific!

http://wjz.com/local/missing.girl.child.2.943561.html

Now, during the course of looking up information regarding missing children, I came across this web site a long time ago and thought you all would be interested in it, trying to pass time between document dumps:

Recently missing children (within the last 60 days) in the United States.  At the bottom of the page, click on New York, then California, then Texas.  Lastly, click on Florida!  What a shock.  Notice where these children were when they went missing!

http://recentlymissing.org/

Seems something is going on in Florida.

Anyway, I needed to respond to Janetruth and News Junkie.  I need to take a nice vacation away from the forums and now I am thinking away from the computer, just to get back to being okay.

Take care all monkeys.  I will come back sometime and lurk, but for now, I need to get away and stop crying at a moments notice about all these children.

OMG!!     I looked at my state (Nebraska) and there are none missing in the last 2 months.  Looked at Florida, and there are 88, in just the last 2 months!       WTH??

Thanks for this link, jaggard.  Sometimes we do have to step away and take a break for our own emotional health.  It can get real frustrating.  Take care of you, and come back when you are ready!

Wyks,
Where is NE do you live.  I used to live there.  Not a native but for Hubs job.

Did you really?  How cool is that!  Whereabouts did you live?  Two of my sons and I are in Lincoln, one son and gson is in Beatrice, and my gdaughter is in Omaha.  We're not natives either, we sprang from California 8 years ago.  And it was for my job up in Norfolk at the time.     Would love to live in Wahoo and use Yahoo.

That's scary too, Pharlap!  Am still checking this link out too.

It seems that there are more and more missing these days, kids and adults as well.  Wonder if there really has been an increase, or if it's that just what it seems like because of the media/technology, hearing about it more easily and faster these days.
