Body parts stolen from the "Body Farm"

Posted: Feb 27, 2009 11:48 PM EST
Knoxville (WATE) -- Five skulls are missing from the UT property known as the "Body Farm."

The "Body Farm" is a property off Alcoa Highway that serves as a resting place for 197 corpses. Forensic anthropologists study them to learn how the body decomposes. Those studies are then used by law enforcement and others to solve crimes.

Employees on Friday discovered that a fallen tree had caused a breech in the security fence.

Anyone with information is asked to call the UT Police Department at (865) 974-3111.
