IIRC there was tape still on that Dr. G had to cut her hair to remove.
Yes I remember that, but would that not mean that there was still flesh or tissue???
Hair does not attach to the skull, so if there was hair on the tape the just put it to the side, the hair would not be attached to the bones...it would be attached to flesh.

Again not to speak of Caylee in this crude manner lightly because it is very difficult,  but it could very well be that the hair was not attached to the skull any longer but as a result of originally being attached to her head it remained at the back of her head on the duct tape wrapped around  covering her mouth OR there was a small significant amount of tissue at the roots that kept the hair attached to the skull that survived since she was in several types of cover, despite the water & time spent out in the elements.  Same reason there may have been some sticky residue left to remain stuck on the skull.
Which brings the possibility that the State could have tissue, meaning cause of death might be determined with FORENSIC testing, but NOT by the Medical Examiner.

Am I right?

Yes and no.   Even Im a bit unclear on what has been reported to definitively been found.   It was stated that no tissue was found & yet if the hair was literally attached to the skull there would have had to have been at least a small amount at the root.  And yes, that could be forensically tested (the State's choice by the FBI at Quantico).

Alright so what you are saying is that there still is a very slight chance that although the Medical Examiner could not tell cause of death, Forensics possibly could, given the bits and pieces of information we have so far that we have to read between the lines on???????
Come on Capp give me some hope!!!!!

QM, if it was an accident, and she paniced, I can't figure how you go from panic, to bagging the child's remains, duct tape, and throwing the child away like garbage? That is not even in my thought pattern, how you go from accident to this, and I can only hope the jury thinks this out, I always worry about juries.

I agree NR, I can't figure that out either, but it seems that they may go with this accident scenerio. I also can't help but wonder why now, and eight months later? They probably know that the ZFG story definitely won't work, plus they say everyone already thinks she killed Caylee, so maybe they think this takes care of both those things? I don't know, that's just a wild guess cause I don't know what they're thinking.

How can they make this "accident" defense effective w/o having KC take the stand? We know that would be a disaster and will not happen.I think all this new lawyer can hope to do is to muddy the already murky waters. A jury will see right through that.JB brought him on after he got the latest discovery info. This tells me that it was an act of desperation to add him to the defense. The latest docs must be a real doozy! Bring them on !

I don't see how anyone will be confused by the duct tape, Dolce.

I believe it was placed there in in a fit of rage because it was stuck in her hair.  That implies to me that it was placed very tightly...if it hadn't, when her tissue decomposed it would have fallen away and been lost in the flood etc.

Just an aside:  I had to duct tape a drain hole in a water trough.  The tape was submerged for a good month before it started to lift up enough to require replacement--and that was on a smooth surface.  It never actually detached--just began to leak a little.  So I can imagine how tightly tape must have been on the baby's face--and stuck in her hair if it still existed for some months after the murder.

Foggy

Unfortunately that can be disproven.  The defense will argue that the prosecutions time frame of the body dump is speculation, they can not be sure there was ever a "flood".  Also, I get that the duct tape was found with strands of hair, but that could indicate that her hair had blown into areas around the mouth.  I do not see it proven that it was tight around the head.
Are they saying that they found a full piece of duct tape in a circular ring that matches the size of the head based on reconstruction of the skull, indicating that the circumfrance of the ring of tape was a bit smaller than that of the reconstruction therefor rendering the conclusion that it had to be tightly wound around the head at time of death???  NOW THAT, I WILL UNDERSTAND AND BELIEVE.  (As a jury member)

The rest, even knowing that I agree with its likely true what they are stating, it being tightly wound, is disputable by Baez's team of experts.  I am thinking in terms of an average citizen jury member with no inside on this case like we have.  Prove it to them.

IIRC there was tape still on that Dr. G had to cut her hair to remove.

Absolutely.  And in forthcoming forensic evidence, there'll prob be all manner of evidence re. soil, and plant/animal life that points to where remains were found, back to home etc.  And if she was there during the flooding rains there'll possibly be some additional creatures that exist in an aquatic environment.  I can't recall how long the area was flooded, but some lower forms of life require next to no time to grow in a boggy environment.

And for folks who have difficulty understanding to explain their position I'm sure the State will be using show and tell.  Well, they better.

I don't think the body was in the water, she was double bagged and while probably damp the contents weren't flooded as I picture suggestions.

KC is gonna get the death penalty...not by lethal injection but by Big Bertha when she becomes part of the general population.
I am envisioning that day now..................

Oh, happy thoughts, only problem is Casey will probably enjoy Big Bertha and her friends.

I wonder if KC has figured out how to make a shank(sp?) yet....

A skank with a shank?

I thought it was so sad last night when I was watching NG...
The caller that called in and pointed out that on the prosectution side...Caylee's side of the court room...there was no one there standing there for her.

And there was the Ants with their lawyer...standing and smiling behind their daughter.

I am sickened.
Very very heartbreaking.  The Anthony's were done with Caylee after the end of the Public Memorial, which was never really about her to begin with.  They brushed her aside long long ago.

I try to put myself in CA's shoes...
And even if it was an accident...or someone kidnapped Caylee's ect..
If I were CA...I would blame KC and I wouldn't be able to support her...because it was KC's fault.  100%
I don't think I could ever get past it.
I don't think I would want to get past it.

I started crying when I heard that on NG last night.   I've been thinking about it all day.   My head aches.  and my heart.

Did you hear the person ( i am not sure who said it, someone on NG's panel) said the LE was on Caylee's side.  They were there with her from day one.  They will never forget this baby or this case.  They will be there for Caylee.

Anthonys want to block personal info from being released ... hmm ... my first thought is JCP statements. But who knows.

hmm.  Interesting.
I say they don't want anyone to know:
1.  who Caylee's father is.
2.  mental health records from all the A's
3.  how they have spent their money (porn websites, Nigerian scams, gambling websites, whatever the truth really is)
4.  how much money they've made from Caylee's death so far
5.  if any of them has had affairs or children outside of the marriage
6.  we all have skeletons - so use your imagination.

I know that I wouldn't want my life put under a microscope for everyone to see - but I also would not have defended my daughter if she killed my grand daughter.   They have not been forthcoming and honest - so too bad for them.  jmo
I believe that if they had acted like normal people from day 31 and kept their mouths shut except to publicly plea for the safe return of Caylee, they would not be under the microscope. Instead they chose to play the defense role and cover for their slore daughter. Then along comes Kashf Kidfinders and their corrupt ways showing the A's how to make money from it all.

Therefore, they deserve all they are getting and more. jmo

Since there was "no tissue" this tells me that the tape was wrapped around her head so tightly that, even with decomposition and the disappearance of the tissue that holds hair to the skull, it was not possible to remove the tape by, say, just sliding it over the skull. Ick. Sorry bout the graphic nature....

I have a question. Regarding the Judge with him allowing the Unseen photo's to become or remain  " public"
Who has these photo's ? That have yet to be released.
I do recall George at one point in time being shown the 'unseen' photos by LE - taken from Casey's computer.
I guess I don't understand. If LE has these photo's in there possession, if they were to be released they would come from Orange County Sheriff's office right? Then put on the internet as a photo doc dump?

Or is that the Judge ruled the confiscated Photos in question are to be admitted into court for Prosecution.

I can't imagine what goes through Judge Strickland's mind when he has to look at Casey in his court room. What his personal thoughts are?. I know that Judges are to remain " objective" but Judge Strickland is still human.

On NG last night, Dr. Perper said that the duct tape wrapped so tightly around the head shows premeditation.

While I love hearing facts like that, I sure hope the prosecution knows this, I have to wonder, since it was just bones found, how are they able to tell if it was tight, or if it was even around her head?  They found various strips of duct tape, and a small piece attached to the skull.  I just can not figure out how they can be absolutely sure, and that scares me that a jury will be as confused.
Agree - the thing that I can see JB saying is that casey was afraid that if she caused a mess, cindy would know or yell at her for the mess, so she wrapped the duct tape (tight even) to prevent fluids from leaking.Even pool water, if they want to play it was an accident.
Sorry gross thoughts, but I can almost see them trying to sell this crap.
