On NG last night, Dr. Perper said that the duct tape wrapped so tightly around the head shows premeditation.

While I love hearing facts like that, I sure hope the prosecution knows this, I have to wonder, since it was just bones found, how are they able to tell if it was tight, or if it was even around her head?  They found various strips of duct tape, and a small piece attached to the skull.  I just can not figure out how they can be absolutely sure, and that scares me that a jury will be as confused.

Agree - the thing that I can see JB saying is that casey was afraid that if she caused a mess, cindy would know or yell at her for the mess, so she wrapped the duct tape (tight even) to prevent fluids from leaking.Even pool water, if they want to play it was an accident.
Sorry gross thoughts, but I can almost see them trying to sell this crap. 

I could see them trying this, but I have a lot harder time seeing the jury buying it!

Hi Blink--I believe that Mr. Macaluso was hired to reconstruct some kind of accident in which Casey caused Caylee's death.  This, of course, would vastly reduce her culpability and do away with a murder charge.  Involuntary manslaughter would result in only a few years in prison versus life without parole.  In his personal injury and wrongful death cases he no doubt reconstructs automobile accidents or industrial accidents resulting in death or injury.  In this case, he will probably say that Casey didn't mean to kill Caylee and when she discovered that Caylee was no longer breathing, she panicked.  And then he will recreate some kind of accident to explain it away. I personally can think of no way to accidentally wrap duct tape around a child's mouth (And maybe her nose.) Seems deliberate to me.  Of course, if Caylee died during the commission of a felony, i.e. assault, that calls for a murder charge.  So even if Casey didn't mean to kill her, if she wrapped the tape around her nose and mouth and suffocated her, she assaulted her.  The same with the chloroform.  It will, however, be interesting to see what theory they will come up with to try to prove Caylee's death an accident.

Yeah, and Trimm should have on some cowboy boots and a little denim mini-skirt on. Nothing like a hot looking woman looking to start a fight with her man to make all the "men" run away! Men hate confrontation...and poor Trimm's hubby...wifey looks so hot, and he knows he'll be sleeping in the doghouse for awhile, even if he didn't do anything! (My poor hubby! I have never done this EXACT scenario, but, like crzy, there's a nugget of truth in there! )
