Right!  From what I understand the martial law is centered in Juarez only, which is just across the border from El Paso, Texas.  So that would likely not be affecting Benito Juarez, since it's so far away.  I'm sure that you'll feel a lot better when your aunt gets back home tho.  At least you'll hopefully be able to relax and get some sleep in the meantime.

Do you know the other ports of call on the cruise schedule?  I mean, is it a Western Carribean cruise, maybe stopping in Cayman and Jamaica? Cozumel, Mexico is a popular site for most cruises.

I hear ya, sure does seem like the whole world has gone nuts!  I'm thinking that the majority is because of more technology today and news getting to more areas than ever before.  Altho this particular thing going on with our borders does seem to be rising due to the drug wars, etc.  Seems it's already spilled over into the US somewhat, and that concerns me too.

I wish I knew for sure, they are always cruising.  I just happened to remember hearing Mexico.  My dad is 71 and his sister that is on the cruise is older.

Well, I'm thinking it's a good thing they are cruising rather than just vacationing in Mexico. The ships keep up with events at their Ports of Call and I'm sure they warned passengers. Usually, cruise ships travel at night to their next port so my bet is your Aunt is safely on the ship at this point. Had she not shown up after a stop, someone should have been notified.
