Anna Fl, at WS posted, Ron and Misty are only doing this because Ronnie is facing felony sex crime charges and want it to look better for when he is charged. Okay

I was wondering when she would come out of the woodwork...and she knows this cause she is such a distant relative...?   this is the kind of stuff that should not be allowed on forums if you ask me without some sort of proof..does anyone else agree about this sort of thing? this is not an opinion of hers, she is saying that it is so and that is how a lot of these rumors have gotten started in my opinion...

AnnaFl has an agenda.. I have received an e-mail from her claiming she has been in phone contact with some SM members..  anyone wanna raise hands? also, well, I will leave it at that as I do not want to put anything out yet.. I am working on something....

yeah Searching.. i sure hear that.

And who just starts out giving their phone number to strangers?

Monks, I shouldn't even need to tell you this - but don't give your phone number to anyone. Don't tell anyone where you live. Don't invite all sorts of problems that will in the end be self created. It's just some advice cause I like you all and don't want to see you involved in terrible drama and possibly heartache.

Why did they have to get engaged, married at this time in their lives? don't they have enough on their plates without adding one more thing? they have only known each other for 5 months!  I seriously am shaking my head ....what is the hurry? instead of buying rings and getting engaged, why not go out searching for Haleigh? if my child was missing, the last thing that would be on my mind is getting engaged or married....my opinion only.....they have just opened up the gates for more gossip and speculation and rightfully so at this point...isn't anyone advising these people at all?  they have to know how this will look to the general public...or maybe no...
tsk tsk...Ron, ron ,,,ron...what in the world are you thinking? or are you at this point?

Maybe they should have a trial engagement or something...like committing to buying curtains or somethin'.

Croslin's mother, Lisa Croslin, said, "They've been trying to get me to do this for five months now. And I told them you need to wait until you're 18. But now that everything's been going on and people have been trashing them, I'm going to let them do it. I know they love her...Haleigh, and they love each other."

I thought they were together for 6 months does that mean they wanted to get married 1 month of knowing each other....

I also wonder are they going to try to get custody of his other child he had with Amber..

Haleigh's Father Pops Question to Teen Girlfriend
Posted By: Gary Detman     22 mins ago

PALATKA, FL -- The father of Haleigh Cummings has asked his teenaged girlfriend to marry him.

Ronald Cummings, 25, popped the question to Misty Croslin Sunday night at Chili's, with several family members around them.

She said yes.

Outside the Putnam County Courthouse where Croslin and Cummings went Monday to get the paperwork for a marriage license, Croslin showed off her ring.

"Everybody's probably going to take this marriage thing the wrong way but it's not," said Croslin. "Everything's still focused on Haleigh. This is what Haleigh wanted. She's always talked about it."

Croslin said Haleigh even called her "mom."

Since Croslin is only 17, the paperwork has to be filled out by her parents.

The two have not set a wedding date.

Misty Croslin put Haleigh Cummings to bed on the night of February 9. Haleigh hasn't been seen since.

MORE: COMPLETE HALEIGH CUMMINGS COVERAGE

If you have any information on her whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS. You'll remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward. The reward for Haleigh's return is at $26,500.

Those rings do not look right.  The one on her finger is an engagement ring.  Generally when you buy that type of ring, you also purchase the matching wedding band.  But the two other rings are just normal wedding bands.

Maybe they are getting married, as a wife / husband cannot testify against the other.  Unless Fl laws are different, please correct me.

The wording is a bit tricky, Grama.  It isn't that a wife/husband cannot testify against each other (which implies no choice).. It's that a wife/husband cannot be compelled to testify against each other (which does imply there is a choice).

Thanks for that clarification.  I did not know the legal terms of it, just knew there was something about that.

This is looking so bad for Ronald Cummings.  I hate to say this, but now it almost looks like they needed to get rid of one to make room for another.

I know this is awful of me BUT just who paid for those rings?  Donations?  If so I am sick at this action at this time. JMO

why would they have to get rid of Hayleigh? they were all living together anyhow...and why not Ron Jr instead of Haleigh? and besides, Crystal would probably have taken Haleigh and so would one of the grand mothers...heck, I would have taken her if there was an issue and she needed a home..poor baby...

On Jave Velez-Mitchell, it was reported that Ron got down on one knee in Chili's and proposed.

Was that for show or what?  Wonder if anyone took a picture of the scene?

Exactly the first thing I thought of, when I heard about him asking her!

If you take a step back ... and see that so far they have no suspects, no clues ... and how 'happy' they are, instead of feeling WORSE, since MORE time has gone by, and then you hear that they were all at Chili's restaurant, and he tells her he loves her, then gets down on his knee and asks her to marry him ... happiness all around, I'm sure there were hugs, kisses ... laughter.

Sorry, this just seems WRONG ... at least right NOW.  Gosh, if this much time had gone by with MY daughter missing, I would be even SICKER with worried, than I was in the first weeks ... and I'd be either going crazy to find her, or getting to the point of maybe facing that she's not alive anymore.

I don't know ... I just don't know.

Our friend Edward has posted on this thread..."".Amber Leeanne Dubois, 14yr, Last seen 7:10am Feb. 13, 2009,""""
that Amber's mother just got a tattoo on her with the date that Amber disappeared, and left room for the date that she returns....Maybe it isn't so unusual then for a parent of a missing child to get tattoos when their child is missing? I dunno, just would never occur to me but to each their own....Edward posted the article...very interesting...it caught my eye since we were talking about ron and his tattoos...

This was on CSO but no thread or link to back it up. If this were true, it would have been all over the media.

I read that a family member said that Crystal paid for Ron's tattoo of both Jr. and Haleigh. The money was paid for the tattoo, not offered by Crystal to house Ron and family or pay for food for them. She wanted him to have her 2 children (not including his other son from Amber) tatted on his legs. If there is anything to be said about the money and how it was spent you need to consider where the money came from and who designated where it was to be spent. Crystal---- Hmmm --- inappropriate behavior and nonemotional.... Owed back childsupport and now paid it off from her money received from Geraldo. Crystal was a finger pointer at everyone but herself...
