Good morning monkeys.  I have nothing new to add except I am not for a memorial there.  I think the money could be well spent on education for another child or in this day and time, even food and clothing for another child, but that's just me.

I have mixed feelings about it.   Part of me just wants that peice of land left alone - but part of me wants it made into a quiet, tree filled area where there is no more snakes.   Maybe a couple of nice benches where you can sit and just meditate.   Nothing loud -just something peaceful.  Something low-maintenance.

Question is, if someone buys the lot and puts a park or memorial there, who will maintain it?   The county probably won't want to do it.  Just thinking outloud again.

Hi Sassy & JSM!

Just one more thing they've lied to LE about.  I want them to spend time in jail ... even if it's just a week or two ... I want them to have the experience ... and maybe it will make me feel just a tiny bit better!

I want them in jail, too.    I feel sick inside, thinking about how they knew for so long that KC needed to be in jail.   We were discussing how if someone (BOA, Mrs. P) had pressed charges on KC, maybe Caylee would be alive.   Damnit, C&G knew KC was a crook and a nut job.   Why didn't they ever hold her accountable for anything?   Why couldn't they figure out that she had no business with a baby?    They had to know she wasn't working, especially if she was stealing all that money.   Why didn't they do something to rescue Caylee?    JMO.
I'll bet poor Shirley has thought this more than once, but I'm sure she just wanted to keep the peace.

You're right.

My gut feeling tells me that LP is just blowing smoke about buying that piece of land, anyway.

He will have to fight Orange County to do anything with it - like a park or memorial.   It will cost him a lot of money over the years maintaining it.

I hate to say it, but I think he is just trying to get his name out there, again.   JMO

ITA!!

however, I think if they do put a memorial or small park there
A) the Anthony's will move out of the neighborhood
B) it will flood again when a nice heavy tropical system blows through there

It really depends on how the purchaser sets it up.  It can be privately maintained if it is kept by the purchaser, it can be "donated" to the county and maintained, or it can be set up as a "trust" in the name of a family or person.

Maybe it is best to leave it as is, maybe place a concrete angel there, a statue of sorts, out of respect for Caylee, and let it be.

On the one hand, I kind of like the idea of a meditation place.. doesn't have to be much. Some benches, or maybe a white gazebo..  Something like that might look nice there. But a good point was made.. who is going to take care of the up-keep?  Lenny doesn't even live in FL, and while he might have no problem buying the land, is he really interested in paying for perpetual "landscape" services?

And even if he isn't, it sounds like the association has a problem with a memorial/park, and the association will win more then likely.

Hi anothermonkey ((Pretty Kitty))

Good point...and considering this was already a party/hangout spot...with a gazebo there, I'm sure the teens will hang there. Think of all the trash etc.

I guess it would be best just to let it go back to nature

Oh SS!  The "Captain Coffee Bunnies" are the BEST!

(and no, I don't have anything to say regarding the case ... this was a completely off-topic and gratuitous post on my part mods!  Oh ... but I am helping to push into a new cage ... does that count?!)
