i also wanted to give my viev.....because i think to solve this case you need to look at  it from a lot of views of what could hapened.

Yes and Lorenzo has a basement we were told.  Do the van der Sloots have a basement?  Is their house one level or two?  Is Joran's apt. just a garage converted to a bedroom and bathroom?  Are the houses in Aruba built on poured concrete slabs?

KBM how does the VCB shirt with GVC's initials fit your theory of the fishermen disappearing Nat?
