A friend of Val's girlfriend Natalie.  Rika's parents found out about Joran and that was that.  She was definately too young for him.  But in my opinion, he doesn't have many scruples....he doesn't even know the last name of half the girls he's been with.  I have a son.  If he acted like that...I'd have sent him to an all boys boarding school, just to keep the girls safe.
Sorry, my thoughts got away from me...some things just get me angry.

It's not the boys...well maybe the attitude.  It's the adults.  In the US, there is lots of trouble, but if you call for help, a girl is taken seriously. In most places in the US, local groups of boys would not be encouraged to hit on young girls.

My daughter went to Mexico and they met up with some locals.  The locals wanted her to go party with them.  She invited them to the nightclub they were going to instead.  The local guys responded that they were not permitted to go to that nightclub.

Guys can be unsafe towards girls anywhere in the world.  It's up to the adults, business owners, journalists and others to set the standard that bad behavior will not be tolerated.  Drugs in drinks will not be tolerated.  Once the attitude of those in power becomes "the girl asked for it", no one is safe....unless they have a mean father or brother...and the punks/pimps know it.  JMO

After researching date rape drugs, the behavior displayed by Natalee, in their statements, sounds like she was drugged.  There is also a very good source that says for $20 at C&C, the bartender will drug a drink.  There is no proof...just sounds like it.  Personally, I don't think Joran set out to kill her.  His plan was to get an American girl, on her last night, and have his way with her.  Maybe even video it for one of the onsite porn links. She would have a foggy memory in the morning and just want to fly home.  Something bad happened this time and Natalee died.  The rest is a coverup.  A body would have shown evidence of a struggle and maybe drugs....therefore...no body....so eloquently mentioned by Paulus while the rest of the world was looking for a live Natalee.

Most detectives will tell you there are no coincedences in a disappearence investigation.

we know that the Oduber hospital has a "crematorium", there is also a cremetorium in the Wever funeral palor, a large fish trap was reported missing from one of the fisherman's huts the night Natalee was last seen. Koen has a boat, Steve Croes has a boat. Dompig stated that he has good information that her body was moved at least twice and by pvds.

Forget the boy business.  Joran had been out at night and drinking tons and gambling.  Even had a VIP pass to C&C.  He is no boy, no matter what his age is.  I think he (and his father) would do whatever it takes to make sure Joran was safe.

yeh if your son is unguilty would you not protect him?

in USA there are a lot of times that after so much years they find out that the suspects who are in jail are unguilty.
but in holland that doesnt happen often. (what does happen is that guilty ppl can get a low sentence or get away......but i dont think that the dutch court is often wrong)
