We have already seen pics of the pond completely drained and bricks of mud removed  --- if she was ever there, she isn't anymore!

The pond just dried up as it does during dry season and was not ever drained. 

And yes, you are correct.  There was nothing there.  It was searched by private efforts looking for Jose Tromp as well.  And Kyle said right after the sonar scans of it that there was nothing of interest in the pond at all.

So what are we missing here?  I wonder why Dave would do this but suppose it is just for his own peace of mind.  I do hope if he has been given wrong information that those responsible for all this are deeply ashamed.

Makes me feel sick at my stomach to think about this family being jerked around by people playing games.  Again.

This story has spread like wildfire today. 
Could it be that Aruba is going to give Natalee back via Fred Golba and his dog, Rhino?
We have seen the cage/trap pictures and know that Aruban divers retrieved the contents
which were identified as human remains.  They know that we know.
I so hope that Aruba is going to send Natalee home.

That thought has crossed my mind -- I hope it is true. Would they bank on the fact that the remains would not be analyzed to see if they were ever exposed to salt water??? How would they explain why only "partial remains" would be found?? Would they make a "deal" for Dave to find Natalee in return for "no questions asked"???

Kyle Kingman and Hans Mos' words are one in regards to the perception there was nothing Natalee Holloway related in the pond during the Persistence search in February.

Considering the water was low ... logic dictates if anything Natalee Holloway related was suspected to be in that pond it would have been retrieved.

Kyle Kingman - 04/07/08: There are 18 targets. Two are definitely tires. The rest, who knows. It's likely tin cans, mud clumps, and debris. There is one small box-like target but it's only 2ft across and doesn't have much relief, unless it's completely sunk into the mud (likely). I can find something about the size of a hockey puck with that system in good conditions. The water was very shallow when this survey was done. Remember, in February 2006 the pond was almost dry.

In the month of March 2008 a witness who was urged by Dave Holloway to step forward confronted the Prosecutor’s Office. The man gave a statement on March 16th 2008 accompanied by his lawyer. This witness statement is already widely known: the witness claims he saw Joran van der Sloot in the middle of the night of May 30th walking in front of his house, soaked up to his chest, walking on one shoe and heavily breathing. He was walking into the direction of the hotels, coming from the direction of the Church at Noord. What the witness was actually aiming for was the Police to conduct an intensive search in the dam of Monserrat. Nevertheless the witness could not give us any reason why the Police should conduct a search in the dam. It was the conclusion of the witness that Joran had come from the dam since he came walking from that direction.

There was no indication whatsoever that Joran had been at the dam. For that reason the Police were not ordered to conduct that search. Later, people from the Persistence asked if they were allowed to conduct a search. They were told that they could go ahead if the wanted to. No results were reported. Besides that, the Monserrat dam, which had completely fallen dry by that time, was not long before that request completely searched by dozens of people, for a completely different reason. No results were reported.

Greta just stated that she had spoken to Natalee's father and he had confirmed Golba was there to search a specific area with the cadaver dog. She also stated to separate fact from truth, that the Juice was incorrect in reporting her body had been found, that nothing had been found.

Wreck ... it has crossed my mind that Aruba has finally come to a place where they realize that Beth and Dave are a force to content with as long as their daughter is not resting on American soil.

Could it have been determined by the "powers that be" that by returning Natalee's remains ... the parents may just back off ... the media would no longer be an issue ... the eighteen year old American young lady who did not return from an Aruban granduation trip would become a faded memory and ... Aruban would once again be considered the "Happy Island".

I would not call Aruba motivation human.  They just may have come to the realization that Beth Holloway is determined to keep her promise.

Think about it.  The upcoming move will once again remind Americans that a corrupt Aruban investigation is still denying one of their own the justice she deserved ... the justice she deserved under Dutch law.
