Decorating with Color!!!
«
on:
March 24, 2009, 10:13:29 AM »
Hey All! I'm an artist & I LOVE color! I'm currently re-painting most all the rooms in my house. My kitchen eating area I just finished, I need to download the pics. i have an obsession with Frenchbull tableware! I use the platters to decorate & serve! I have purchased many of the patterns on
www.plumparty.com
&
www.frenchbull.com
. I have everything from lazy susans to canisters. The wearable designs are sold under Tepper Jackson and I have some of those items too! The new design is called Felix & is a black & white harlequin design. I made the valances in my kitchen in this pattern. I also love Fiestaware. I have 10 place settings all in a different color. I was given a vintage set from the 1930's that is worth several thousand. Some of the items are displayed in my kit as well. I guard this set with my life! Check out the colorful designs:

Wow, you are so talented. The 60's swags I just love. Almost everything I own is from the 50's and 60's, except for a bedroom set of my grandparents from the 40's. I love color, and your kitchen is great. I've been looking for a wall clock from the 60's, I've seen some on Ebay, but not quite right. I have cruised thrift stores, and have been very lucky with some of the items I had been looking for, but can't find my clock.

Thank you Norose, that's so sweet! What kind of clock are you looking for? I've furnished most of my house through ebay, I might be able to find one for you!

I am not sure what they are called. There are different styles, and they are on the larger size. I like the ones that are shaped like a star, that's the best way I can describe the shape. Thanks

Hi Gals...
Monken,
you are the most talented little thing ever! What great style you have. I love the bright colors and the retro styles too. I will take some photos of my sewing room soon. I just did it about 2 years ago, and it's my favorite room in my condo. It's kind of retro-mod.
Your downstairs painting looks like something by Peter Max.......I love that stuff!
Monken.
..there's a Fiesta Ware factory about 45 minutes from me. They have a "seconds room" and everything is really inexpensive and most times, I can't even find a flaw. The also have a showroom in front where the sell first quality stuff and it's at least 30% off retail. If there's ever something you're looking for, please let me know. I go there about 4 times per year (it's just down the street from a casino that my friend likes to go to). I love Fiesta ware for serving pieces..the colors are so fun and it's all I use for feeding my kitties. I get all different colors to go with all the different place mats I use for them. I use two sizes of bowls and I've never paid more than $1.20 each.
No Rose.
.I think the clock style you're talking about is called "starburst". It's from the Hollywood Regency period. If you search Ebay..type in Hollywood Regency.

Bewitched is my Favorite, i have almost all of the dvds. i wanted to paint a bewitched theme in the girl's room but we decided that Jeannie was better than a witch for little girls
So I saved every animated print I could find of Bewitched characters & printed them for my fun room downstairs. That's where the big Peter Maxx pic will go. I'll post you some of them, K! Now I'm looking for a Bewitched cookie jar(on ebay & at a reasonable price) for my new kitchen! Hugs!

Hi Monken.
...I'm in Ohio, about 45 minutes from the WV line. Please let me know what pieces you may want. They have literally thousands of pieces in the seconds room. You never know what you'll find - but they have first quality in the show room at about 30% off. Last fall, I bought some egg dishes (for deviled eggs) in black for $10 from the seconds room..you really have to look hard to find a flaw - and the flaws are only the type that don't affect the wear or usability.
A lot of people from here go down there and buy stuff and put it on Ebay. If you're serious, I'll let you know when I'm going to go and I'll give you my email address so you can let me know what you want and we can go from there.

Oh I am, Numbers, & it's so nice of you to offer! Just let me know when you get ready to go, maybe Klaas can send you my email address. I would love to have a place setting in black like you get at Dillard's; dinner & side plate, bowl, and mug. Do they have stuff like that? By the way, my son-in-law is from Weirton, WV. He has lots of family there! Thank you, Numbersgirl!!!
