Hoover Claims Colleague Knew Where Caylee’s Remains Were

<snipped>
Hoover claims Dominic Casey, a colleague, knew where Caylee Anthony’s remains were weeks before they were actually uncovered.
“He just said, I said ‘well let’s go get her.’ I figure she was still alive somewhere and he (Dominic Casey) said “we can’t. She’s dead. And I know where she is,” Hoover said

Anthony Lawyer Deposes Corrections Officers
Baez To Depose 3 Corrections Officers, Private Investigator

POSTED: 8:25 am EDT April 2, 2009
UPDATED: 4:27 pm EDT April 2, 2009
Anthony Lawyer Deposes Corrections Officers
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Another round of questioning took place on Thursday in the case against Casey Anthony.

Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, scheduled depositions with three corrections officers and private investigator Jim Hoover. Hoover volunteered his services to the Anthony family.

Corrections Sgt. Johnny Richardson would not talk Thursday to the media about what role he played on Dec. 11, 2008, which is the day the defense team claims Richardson was involved in taking Casey to a jail nursing station.

Once there, video cameras recorded her appearing to double over repeatedly as breaking news coverage of the discovery of a child's remains played on the nurses' TV, sources have told WESH 2.

Those remains turned out to be those of her daughter, Caylee. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Caylee's death and is awaiting trial in Orange County Jail.

A childhood friend of Anthony, KioMarie Cruz, was questioned on Wednesday. She wouldn't comment on the deposition. The Cruz deposition lasted just under two hours and wasn't open to the public.

In the past, Cruz told investigators that the wooded area where the remains of Caylee Anthony were found was called "The Zone" by Anthony and her.

An attorney for the Anthonys, Brad Conway, has tried to distance his clients from Cruz.

"She sold her story to the Enquirer, and I don't know what the exact number is, but what I've been told is that it was somewhere around the amount of $20,000, so I wouldn't put any stock in what she has to say, and people are crawling out of the woodwork to make statements about Casey Anthony, and most of it is just not true," Conway said.

Baez tried to subpoena some records on Wednesday that he said was critical to his client's defense, but the petition to keep the records secret from the state and public was denied.

O wow small world, well it was years ago.  My friend since then moved back to NJ 2 years ago.   But hey ya never know what the future holds.    I remember going to this backwoods hut bar called Pepe's on the Rio, heard shotgun fire in the background....it was an interesting experience...hehe   Our trip across the border was equally as interesting.   Your town is quaint & I even ran into a few cows crossing the road as I was trying to get to a store.   We then went to So Padre Island for some fun & sun, from what I hear its built up quite a bit since then.     I had a fabulous time!

3 More People Deposed In Casey Anthony Case

Posted: 10:07 am EDT April 2, 2009Updated: 4:47 pm EDT April 2, 2009
(snipped)
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, questioned three more people in her murder case Thursday. Two of them were the jail guards who saw Casey's reaction the minute she found out her daughter's body was found. The defense has accused the jail officers of some serious violations.

The defense grilled jail Sgt. Billy Richardson for nearly three hours Thursday, so long they had to cancel the deposition of another jail officer scheduled for Thursday. The defense accuses the jail of violating Casey's privacy, but the jail says she has no privacy because she's in jail.

I love the statement though but the jail says she has no privacy because she's in jail.  Wonder if Kathi took him off his game when he got visably upset (assuming he has one) and he was just not able to be proficient.  Bad reporters...bad bad reporters.....

Here's what Conway had to say about the statements made by KioMarie..

"She sold her story to the Enquirer, and I don't know what the exact number is, but what I've been told is that it was somewhere around the amount of $20,000, so I wouldn't put any stock in what she has to say..." Conway said.

She wrote the note in August.....
George and Casey Anthony had a meeting on August 14th of last year, right after she was jailed. At the urging and at the behest of George -- he asked Casey to write a note to then Sheriff Kevin Berry asking for a private meeting between Casey, her father, her mother or brother, Lee. Dennis Moonsame (ph), who was deposed by this week by Jose Baez, passed that note along to Sheriff Kevin Berry.

Nut- are you sure about that date, I thought they visited her on the 13th of August, but I could be wrong-TIA

So true, so true...tooboot she's right he cited NO legal basis or case law that backs up a precedent  that would allow him to make such a request & have it granted!     As I've said before, my dog could represent Casey better, not that he would -he winces every time her hoebag's face is on my puter screen!!

Trimm, neither could I.   Someone would have to be holding my hands because I'd have to fight hard not to have the backside of them upsiding his head!

I keep wondering where is Linda Kenney Baden? Granted she would not know fashion if it jumped up and bit her in the azz, her hair looks like something even a cat would be afraid to drag home, and her screeching voice could probably break a glass, but she is intelligent, Linda please come to Orlando and slap some sense into Jose.

NoRose, LOL  you got that right, she suffers a bad case of mange! Last I saw reported she was in watching the Phil Spector closing arguements, havent seen a word about her since.   There is a delay in deliberations...ugh

Deliberations in music producer Phil Spector's murder trial will not resume until next week due to a juror's illness, a judge said.

The jury in the case at Los Angeles Superior Court will return on Monday.

The jurors were into their third day of deliberations when a juror had to go home because of an unspecified illness.

The 69-year-old Spector is accused of second-degree murder over the gunshot death of actress Lana Clarkson on February 3, 2003.
