I think that if Cindy did anything to Caylee, even by accident, and Casey knew about it, she would be on the phone so fast calling the LE to come and pick Cindy up .....that would have been her chance to get back at Cindy and to get rid of her and Caylee at the same time....And she would have embellished on the incident and she would have been the grieving mother getting all the attention that she was so desperate for...
Casey would not protect Cindy in something like this in my opinion...She hated Cindy too much to be staying in jail for her mom...She isn't the type of person who would sacrifice herself for anyone, not even her own precious daughter....

Also, we better hope that Casey does not get acquitted on this murder charge...She will turn into a celebrity, even an unpopular one...get a book deal, a movie deal...the innocent mother who was falsely accused...blah blah blah...you get my drift...That would totally make me so sick...I would take to the streets  in protest if that ever  happened...
I sure don't think that she will get off on this charge, but one never knows what a jury will do..however, Casey is a not a likable person, no matter how you dress her up....the jury will see what we see, a cold calculated child killer...

At the very beginning, I did entertain the thought that Cindy & Casey were both very aware of how Caylee was killed at the house the night of June 15th & that Cindy gave Casey the script, promising from that point to help her cover it up.  Reason was when the discovery came out that Casey seemed so confident in telling Amy that Cindy was signing over her house to her - I thought for a bit there might have been a connection...why else would Casey even think that she could pull something like that off.  Why else would Cindy be so adamantly defending her monster daughter despite the obvious.   Then I entertained the thought that Casey originally had plans to kill her mother or both parents for that matter.   When other discovery was released those theories faded to Casey acting alone with the motive probably being to spite her mother & freeing herself from the burden she originally never wanted.

I think Bozo is trying to pin it on Ricardo due to what he has been requesting because of that one myspace picture "seduce her with chloroform BUT I also agree with others that I have no doubt Casey will not bat an eyelash to pin this on her mother, nor would Bozo hesitate to do so either.  They are both void of a conscious.   Casey is trying to save her own hide, Bozo just wants the notoriety this case could give him if he was successful.  I can tell you this he doesnt give a rats rump about Casey or her family.

Well, what if they say Ricardo knew and killed Caylee in a jealous rage?

Well, I guess a similar scenario could fit a Jesse Grund blame-game or anyone else for that matter -- you fill in the blank with different men's names.

Ok, ok, I'm reaching. But heck, you know Baez has to be reaching too.

What else can he do? He can't defend her based on her innocence. That's for damn sure.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A childhood friend of Casey Anthony will face some tough questions on Wednesday.

Kiomarie Cruz is scheduled for a deposition with Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez.

Another friend of Anthony's, Amy Huzienga, was also planned to attend a deposition, but her deposition was postponed.

Aside from the depositions, Baez filed a motion asking that sensitive matters critical to the defense remain confidential.

On the way to a deposition hearing, Baez wouldn't say much about defense theories he's developing. He's asking Judge Stan Strickland to allow him to keep the matters confidential.

"I'm not going to discuss the details of that. I think that's for the court to decide, and I'll leave it at that," Baez said.

Baez filed a motion to keep his efforts to gather evidence a secret. He called the matter critical to the defense.

From the beginning, Baez has said he has information that would explain why Anthony failed to report her daughter's disappearance for more than one month and why he believes she's not guilty of the toddler's murder.

However, legal experts still wonder if Strickland will allow the motion.

"He still has an obligation to disclose them to the state attorney," defense attorney Richard Hornsby said.

Hornsby said Baez can keep his theories secret, but he can't keep subpoenaed records from the state or the person whose records he's seeking.

Hornsby said the plan could backfire if prosecutors learn what records Baez wants.

"Sometimes I subpoena multiple things so that the most important one isn't obvious. In some ways, he's raising a big red flag," Hornsby said.

Baez wouldn't say whether he's confident that Strickland will grant his motion.

Said he has been friends with Casey since he was 5 years old. Lives in Jacksonville, and said he last saw Casey at the end of May or the beginning of June 2008. Worked at a Sports Authority store. Casey told her mother she also worked at the store, but Pasley said Casey never worked there.
