My guess will be ... 1.  Because Hoover was there videotaping, he was trying to act like he didn't know exactly where the remains were (because I truly believe he was out there just trying to pinpoint their exact location so he could pass better directions to Kronk)  or 2.  Lee doesn't give very good directions over the cell phone

ok other issue -- to give up paternal rights, at least here in KY, it is not just a snap of the fingers. The court would want to know why and is charged to act in the best interests of the child, which would not necessarily be to allow the dad to give up rights. In my own personal case, I was told by my lawyer I'd have to be married with my husband waiting in the wings to adopt my daughter before this would happen. Of course, sometimes the court does involuntarily remove parental rights. But that would be an extreme case from what I understand.

This is a pretty big foul-up on Williams' part if not true. IMHO
Agree totally!  Thing going through my mind is when social worker interviewed sindy and casey at the house the day after sindy called to report Caylee missing.  Didn't they allude to an agreement of some kind.
Goodnmad - what part of Ky - Northern part like me?

oh lordy prob an agreement in their own minds  ... would this info be sealed? If a dad signed away his rights?

Central Bluegrass here

No. I'd bet my last pack of smokes that this is all bullshit. Has anyone ever determined if crzy collected welfare for Caylee? If she didn't, there's a reason. In my state, you either name the daddy, or you don't get any $$ (unless,of course, the daddy is an illegal and can't be forced to pay)

The reason she never collected is because the family didn't want the father to know about Caylee...and probably because Crzy had no idea which one of her ONSs was the daddy. This family is a closed system  (and I can see their circuits frying! burn, baby, burn, Casey inferno)

Tevye...I love ya an' all...but please don't ever post the lyrics of my ALL TIME FAVORITE song in conjunction with this crew!...  It's blasphemy I say!  ....burn baby, burn..disco inferno, burn baby, burn...burn that mother down!    Numbers is dancin' and calculatin'...burn baby burn...disco inferno..burn baby, burn..

I'll take one and two. By the way D Casey was digging around that abandoned house, he sure did look like he knew what he was looking for. So the Spector jury had Mon and Tues off, so they come in today, and are now leaving because one of the jurors is sick. I'm sure this jury is going to be like the first jury. I'm livid right now.

Baez Request Denied To Keep Strategy Secret
Posted: 1:11 pm EDT April 1, 2009
Updated: 1:19 pm EDT April 1, 2009
<snipped>
Defense attorney Jose Baez had filed the request in the wrong case file, so at first there was confusion over the request. But once it got to the judge's office, he turned it down without a hearing.

Judge Strickland ruled there is no legal basis for the defense request.

Dude I hate when a judge tells you there is no legal basis for something and your actually a practicing attorney.

So now I'm drumming my fingers ... anxiously waiting to see whose records JB will request ... I mean, I'm sure he'll still want them right?!  They are so important to his case and his client and all ... (yeah right!)  Smoke screen for something is my guess.

Funny story: we rented a car on vacation. DH burned a hole in the seat. From then on, my DIL and I called the car the "Disco Inferno"...and never told him, didn't want him to feel bad.

Capps....when you say Lenny, I am assuming that you are speaking of Padilla? right?

Glad that Baez did not get his way .....woo hoo!!! I hope that no one hires that bozo after this...he is making an utter fool of himself...other attorneys must be snickering behind their brief cases!

Hope this isn't a stupid question, but were the SA's present and did they get to question also?

danabar ... didn't you ever hear that no question is a stupid question!  My mother would paddle you just for saying that!

If you're talking about the kio marie deposition ... no ... each side has to do their own depositions of witnesses ... much to Jose's chagrin ... as he'd really hoped the prosecution would do ALL of his work for him!

Thank you Capp for calling LP

Has LP ever said anything to you about when he was on NG and he said that casey's fingerprints are on the duct tape. I only heard him say this once and wonder if he was told this by Nick Savage or he just got caught up in the moment.

Love LP he has a good heart and I think it's bigger then Texas

Monkey hugs

No prob Stacey

Well,  as you can tell very principally I don't repeat anything from direct people involved with any case without permission.   With that being said, what I can say openly is after it was said on NG he sure did get a call from me because like many of you my eyeballs popped out of my head & I had just talked to him previously may a week before at most.   What I can repeat is in that instance he made the comment over what some local media was reporting just prior to the doc dump was released to the public, if everyone recalls there was some conflicting reports that came out regarding her fingerprints being on the tape or not.   During my conversation on that occasion he only added that he was not privy to  if the results were back by final report from the FBI at that time.

Thank you so much

Monkey hugs
