Somebody without a vehicle or license to drive could have used the dirt field access roads at night without being seen if the suitcase has wheels to roll on. You can see the dirt road structures in the photo..
I also live in an AG area in the Monterey bay area and my teen kids use these type of roads to ride there dirt bikes on, and they ride to the store on dirt roads..
I often go with them as it is a fun ride.

I am only suggesting and pointing out things and Not pointing to specific people..

are these man made ponds?
if so, then the main tributary of waters would not flow into them correct? or would they?

Edward, I thought of this as well..the only problem that I came up with, were the police watching all areas of this park? I know that there was only 1 entrance/exit from what they said...but could there have been a back way to get to this pond by the dirt road...wheeling the suitcase there? it doesn't seem that they would have gotten out of the entrance the first few days with a suitcase in the vehicle cause weren't they searching vehicles then? coming and going?  is there a "back way" to the church shed from the pastors home or the park? from the shed to the pond....

klaas is there a google pic of where the church is in relation to the park itself?

Thanks for all your pics!

Too close

It is close! Thanks for the pics.

There is someone over yonder saying that a 44 year old hispanic man is staying with the pastor.

I don't know if it's rumor or fact.

^^^^ a short cut from the pastor's mobile home to his church? within walking distance? wheeling a suitcase in the dead of night? just thoughts....no facts to go with any of my rambling...

snip>On Monday, they got a tip about the dairy farm.

Workers on the farm were getting water from a retention pond when the black suitcase came to the surface of the water, police said.

They got a tip?  wish they'd elaborate on that more.....

You guys mentioned the weight of the suitcase needing 4 people to get it out of the water.  I am sure it wasn't that heavy when it was dry.
When they said it came to the surface, was that because the water was all drained out?

The loading of a suitcase could have been witnessed by anyone in the park area if that is where it was transported from.

I don't think the police were stopping cars on clover, I went down that street with no problem. Only the enterance of the MHP.
Clover also ends, then there are fields  I believe but no roads (I am not sure, never been past the end). It connects to  Corral Hollow which you can get to a road that turns into Tracy Blvd. Sort of the long hard way to get there. They probably just put the suit case in a car and drove by 100's of people.

8 years old is about 40-50 lbs. Just a small child
Almost anyone could pick that up and walk with it a short distance, surely not as far as it was taken.. It had to have some sort of transport method. Wheels or on a cart or in a car even though it appears to be a short distance it is still to far to carry and dirt roads have hard and soft spots too.
So some method .. and a possible witness too at some point along the route.

I think the police will solve this..

Church is close to the MHP. Since the shack they mentioned is being considered a crime scene they may feel this is where the person took her? I bet the person felt a church would be safe, "who would look for her here?" But I will leave the work to you all, wow! You are all doing well by Sandra

Do you think the person who took her was driving at the time? Once she gets into the car they take her to the shack or church, either then or later in the day or evening, do whatever they do, sticks her into a suit case, places her into a car and drives off?
