On now, ME is not done with autopsy.   They will announce when they will be discussing the autopsy results.   Search warrants have been sealed by the court, cannot discuss so it doesnt compromise the investigation.   LE not aware that pastor has a son.  "Everyone we speak to is a person of interest, we're not eliminating anyone."

Hasn't started YET but will be at this link.  Should start at any time.

http://www.news10.net/news/liveonline/

1.  Not arresting Lawless, at least not now
2.  They have not heard from the coroner on the autopsy yet
3.  All warrents being sealed by the courts
4.  Nothing else at this time to say
5.  They are heading in a particular direction in the investigation but cannot elaborate
6.  Nobody has reported at piece of luggage missing that he is aware of
7.  Everyone they speak to is a person of interest - nobody has been eliminated

No link to the missing luggage to the pastor.   Incorrect reporting that the pastor was listed as a prime suspect, no specific suspects right now (he was questions if there were multiple killers)

So now we must wait and pray while the ME does his work and the crime experts go over the trace evidence.

I do believe there is plenty in that suitcase.  Just a matter of time until LE knows who did this.

Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part but the shock to this family and the community and what they are feeling makes our impatience seem like very little to endure.

The perp must be feeling the heat tremendously right now.  The net is tightening closer and closer around him.  I do feel it's just a matter of time until and arrest is made.

Just my feeling based on not much but hope.

Interesting

And cut the reporter short when she asked him if there was more than one person of interest.

Yes, which is different than what he had been saying .

Guess what, you have sealed warrants when they all yielded something or one is related to the others. Why do I have this sick, sick feeling this is going to be one of the sickest cases we have seen in a very long time.

I swear I want to scream.

On JVM- "maybe just focus on the church as a crime scene" not the pastor.

These people are idiots. THE DUDES HOUSE WAS SEARCHED FIRST!!!!!!!!

If we compare what LE did after they found Caylee....obtaining a search warrant to go immediately to the A's.....then we have to put weight on where this LE went immediately after confirming it was Sandra.

Now....does his GD live w/him?  Must, since he said Sandra played w/gd a lot.  Do the parents of the gd live w/him?  If gd is his daughter's child...we don't know what her father's last name would be or her mother's bf.

Pastor Questioned in Sandra Cantu Slaying

KTLA News

April 7, 2009

TRACY -- A search warrant has been issued for a neighborhood church that police say may hold clues in the disappearance and death of Sandra Cantu whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase.

Clover Road Baptist Church was cordoned off just hours after the 8-year old's body was discovered yesterday by farm workers draining an irrigation ditch.

Police say the church's pastor, Lane Lawless, lives in the same mobile home park as the Cantu family and has already been interviewed twice by investigators.

Lawless told a local TV station that he and his wife spent last night talking to police and said they were questioned because they know Sandra and her family and were "close friends with her."

His wife, Connie, said their great granddaughter often played with Sandra.

Connie Lawless said the couple was fully cooperating with police. She said investigators took phones and a computer, among other items, from their home.

"We're very open to them taking whatever they want," she said.

"We feel the more people they can eliminate, the quicker they will be able to get to the truth."

Connie Lawless said they had nothing to do with the girl's abduction.

"She was the sweetest little thing. It breaks it our hearts to think that anyone would take such a tiny little thing and abuse her and murder her," she said.

The second-grader disappeared on March 27 from the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Community.

According to family members, the 8-year came home from school, kissed her mother, and left to play with a friend who lived a couple of houses down.

Surveillance camera footage released this weekend shows the girl skipping down the street.

"We just know that she had gone to the first house, and played for just a very short time.

And then she was on her way to another friend's house," said Lisa Encarnacion, the spokeswoman for Sandra's family.

"And we don't know, we can't confirm that she was there or she was not."
Her mother reported her missing about 8:00 that night.

Police have not identified any suspects in the girl's disappearance, but they have searched several homes.

All the locations were connected to two men who live in the mobile home park, officials said.

Authorities have also towed four cars from the mobile home park.

The cars were being examined by a team of investigators from the Tracy Police Department and the FBI.

More than 100 mourners - some holding candles, others wiping away tears - gathered outside the mobile home park Monday night while police blocked the entrance.

Several also passed by dropping off gifts Tuesday.
