I was kind of imagining in my mind at a church getting ready for a rummage sale other people would be there, but would not really notice anyone removing items from a car..they would assume they were taking them into the church.  Also, the owner of the suitcase may have donated more items and was taking them into the church while the theft occurred..also more then just the suitcase may have been stolen.  If I were donating alot of items, took some in, came back out and the rest of the items were removed from my car,,I'd go back inside the church to see if someone had brought them inside for me. 

If they hadn't and it was more then the suitcase or even the suitcase..the fact is someone stole something on church property and I think even others at the church that day would have said this should be reported.

Williams said that the mysterious black suitcase Cantu was found in was reported stolen by another congregation member the same day Cantu disappeared.

"That suitcase was to go to the church for a rummage sale with some stuff in it and the person put it somewhere, either in the back of a car somewhere. But anyway, when she came back out the suitcase was gone," Williams said.


That parking lot is wide open.. There is an opportunity for the perp to be seen by anyone walking driving by or looking out there windows.. A person carries a suitcase is a visible item..jmho
Also the STUFF should show up in a garbage can or on the ground someplace.

Very good points Edward.  I would like to know who the stolen suitcase was reported to.  Did someone just "remember" it being stolen after reports of Sandra's disapearance?  Or was it reported immediately before word of Sandra being gone.  Who would have been at the church to realize it was missing....this was a Friday, correct?  Was there an activity going on at the church?  Or was someone told it had been stolen after the fact - covering for when and if it was really discovered?

If the suitcase was to be sold in a rummage sale, would one expect for stuff to be in it?

I consider Mr. Williams comment hearsay or rumor. He should have directed the paper to whoever this person was that was the actual church member who's suitcase was stolen.

When I donate items I use whatever I have to put them in..meaning if I were donating a suitcase I might put other items in there to transport to the church.

Me too. One thing I'm also finding puzzeling is the family didn't go to the church, but now a neighbor is saying Sandra' family did.

cbs13 this morning reported that Wohler's house was searched again (last night) as well. So Wohler's name comes back again, and his place is searched again. This just must be some kind of child porn ring, what else could this all be about, I would like other thoughts, because I just can't come up with anything else.

When the first man was arrested for having child porn on his computer and sharing it , a brief description of the movie was given. apparently it showed men wearing hoods group raping a little girl. My question was, who was the little girl and if they ever found her. Never heard, however if this is the type of movie going around Tracy, then maybe it would make sense to make another one?

Perhaps you may Gypsy DD, however at this point we do not know whether there were items in the suitcase or not.  We won't know that until the owner or someone in the know reports it. People do things differently from others. I am not saying that there were or were not items in the suitcase.  I am saying that we do not know that as fact.

So therefore the perp may or may not have discarded any contents that could possibly have been inside the suitcase.

I know I hope she is too. I never got an answer on who it was in the film... It was beyond disturbing to hear and to also read how this person who had this movie, civil rights were being thrown around. What about that little girls rights??? Don't get me started!

So if it is huge money, do you think maybe someone took her that needed money and sold her off? She didn't have to be taken by a person who would have killed her exactly. There are a lot of drug addicts in that area, Mr Sinclair comes to mind.

This information was in the article regarding the first person arrested for child porn downloading and sharing. I can't recall the mans name, it was in about January. This particular man lived in South Tracy.

Cantu Killer Search Intensifies; FBI Team Focuses On SUV

TRACY, Calif. -- A forensic team including FBI agents meticulously searched Khia SUV overnight, dusting it for prints and carefully examining the interior for any clues as the hunt for the killer of eight-year-old Sandra Cantu intensified.

In an exclusive KTVU video, the forensic technicians and crime scene experts can be seen dusting and logging their findings. A Cadillac also was located nearby in the garage with a search flyer taped to its rear window.

Authorities were not disclosing who the owner of vehicles was.
Am I mistaken that Mrs Lawless was in a cadillac with her husband when the media was asking them questions?

Perhaps you may Gypsy DD, however at this point we do not know whether there were items in the suitcase or not.  We won't know that until the owner or someone in the know reports it. Oh, absolutely right..I agree we all do things differently.  Someone had speculated that wouldn't report it stolen and maybe other items were in it.  I was just responding that the owner may have transported other items to the church in it and that is why it was reported.  It really is just all speculatin at this point as LE has been very mum about the suitcase.

Thanks, OMG I just have this horrible sick feeling about what Sandra went through. Also I found this and maybe someone knows if this woman is a daughter or granddaughter of the pastor.  KTVU News reported a brown suv taken .... Melissa Huckaby, her other name is Melissa Lawless.
