SANDRA CANTU, 8, missing since 3/27/09 Tracy, CA #1 3/28/09-4/09/09

Thanks for the welcome. I have lived in Tracy for about 6 or so years. It was asked what if she knew the person who she either left with or abducted her, yes I think she did. This is why.....

I am not sure where to start. The police department is sort of like the keystone cops, it is not unusual for them to go in the wrong direction with investigations. This investigation I fear is above their heads, glad the FBI is there, they need them.

From people I have spoken to in the park or others who have known this family the person of interest and the most obvious is the martial arts guy but people hesitate to say so. He is creepy is what people say about him.  I have never met him but from what I gather he sure sounds like it. However, he is also a respected business man in the area, been here for a long time. After the kiss the grandparents did report it but the police reportedly did nothing. This did not surprise me. Unless you live in the good parts of town you don't get the attention you should.

The area around the park is filled with drugs and crime, the police really do nothing to shut it down. There is a mix of people in that park from good to bad, from young to old. It is a community of sorts, people know one another, all of the kids play outside, especially on weekends. There is (was) a sense of safety since it was kind of closed off.

As far as the video, my take was she was walking to a designated place she was to meet someone, but was not supposed to meet or didn't' have permission to met or knew she shouldn't go with. I believe this because,

1. She first walks as if she was waiting around for someone she was expected to meet. she is jumping around, skipping and then shifts direction.
2. She didn't stop such as someone would do if she wasn't expecting someone to call out to her, she just changed directions sort of. Imagine you are walking down the street and someone in another direction calls out to you, you don't immediately go towards the voice  you stop and look, unless of course you are expecting it.
3. She looks back and then towards the direction of her home as if she was making sure no one saw her.
4. She was walking with a sense of determination and without hesitation such as anyone would do if you didn't know someone or didn't expect them.     

Now at this time of the day on that particular day we had a funeral procession going through our town for the officer who was killed in Oakland. The police were heavily involved in this, not too many officers were on the beat. Not sure if the fact this was happening had anything to with planning or not

We have had a stream of child porn arrests. Talk is, there is a ring or the hub is here in town.

It was reported that Sandra went home in between playing outside and she and her sisters (?) wanted to go to the movies but they didn't have enough money so she left again.

Perhaps she told one of her adult 'friends' that she really wanted to go see the movie and they told her to meet them (somewhere) and they would take her.  They probably made some excuse that they couldn't take the whole family....just her.  This would fit into the scenario of her not wanting anyone to see her 'meeting' someone.

Was hoping the searchers or LE, FBI, etc. would come up w/something this weekend.  Maybe they will be able to pin something down after they wade through all of the 'confiscated' evidence they have taken already.

I have a question that has been bothering me, it may be nothing, but who knows? The first pic released of Sandra she had thick dark hair, I believe I read that was her school pic, which is taken in Sept or Oct of the school year. Now her hair is thinner, and much lighter, supposedly lighter from the sun, okay. But how does thick hair become so much thinner, without it being thinned out? She just looks so much different to me from the first pic to the other pics.

well, it is important when searching for the child...some might be looking at one picture of her with dark hair while others maybe are looking for a child with light hair...the hair coloring is a drastic change in my opinion....when looking for a Hispanic child, you don't expect to see a blonde child would you?

Like he sold it to her as a parade of police vehicles? ???
 She knowing she was not supposed to go anywhere with him because of the kiss and reprimand of her grand parents ? But she went anyway.. ? Being independent and sneaky ? After all she could not go to the movies ?
Was his vehicle witnessed at the procession on any video cams ?
That would be any store or Street light Traffic surveillance video as well as gas station video.
 Even many small businesses have video surveillance around there buildings.. Parking lots and back alleys..
 
I am also very familiar with the area as I have 2 grown children in Manteca and a daughter and her husband and 2 of my my grand kids in Modesto. So I have been through and around Tracy many times.. Your inside info is very interesting.

I think the family just picked up the first picture they could find. I know there was a sense of panic when they realized her hair was lighter.

The police department not following a key lead would not be surprising to many people here. 

Did anyone watch the press conference with the police spokesman,  he stated, they are classifying it as a missing persons case rather then an abduction because they don't want to be proven wrong,? Why would that matter?

The martial arts instructor leaves for his class at 4, it is said he was there at his studio by 4:15, the studio is 2 minutes away. Sandra went missing about this time they assume. It would not appear out of the norm for him to be driving out of the park at this time, it was routine. One neighbor across from Sandra states the instructor would pass Sandra's house on his way into the park although he lived on the street behind Sandra, several times per day. He witnessed the instructor stopping in front of her house and looking, he said about 3 weeks ago, the camera was installed about that time. It is also believed she may have been going to his house even though she was not supposed to, which can happen in a pedophilia situation. (hush, don't tell anyone, we can be special friends.)

What is your take to the mothers reaction when questioned about the martial arts instructor. You can go to it at 3:20

I am not sure if this all adds up, it makes a possible theory.
